"If it isn't too much trouble for you..."
"Trouble?" Duo asked. "Hell, girl. This is no trouble at all. It's just a good thing you didn't want the Zero System or your missions might have been delayed due to the required training."
Maeko inwardly shuddered, hearing the rumors of the demonic Zero System from the past Eve wars. "I'm glad someone with your talent is preparing my mobile suit."
"Talent? How 'bout we call it a hobby so I'm not so embarrassed?" Duo laughed.
Gallian checked the clock. "One hour, Doc."
Gregory nodded. "One hour. Then I'll send you to Mozambique and you can ship off from there."
Without a reply, Gallian merely nodded. "I'll be sleeping till then." Brushing back some dark hair, he stepped into what was supposedly his bedroom and shut the door.
"Damn, that guy needs a pill. Maybe he'll be a better loser," Reku suggested.
"He didn't lose," insisted Maeko.
"Jeez." With a toss of his head, Reku glanced at the door Gallian had gone through. "People like that -- and I'm not using Kenn as a specific example, really -- are always finding faults in themselves. It's nothing to worry about 'cause they always either get over it or ignore it. Either way, it won't bother 'em. Gallian'll be just fine. It's not like the evenly matched skills you share is anything to get fussy about."
"It's only that Gallian has been working for the past few months to make himself the best at, well, everything," Gregory told them.
"And he's doing a wonderful job, to credit him. But I think he seriously needs a girlfriend or something."
The room fell quiet and Reku winced. "Wrong thing to say, huh?"
"It happens," Quate reassured him. "Maeko, why don't you rest as well? You, too, Reku? You'll be a lot more energized after some sleep."
Reluctantly, both pilots headed to a room Gregory directed them into.
Quatre blinked as the periodic image of Duo smiled. "Some son you've got there."
"What's the story on your boy, Gregory? You treat him a little like J used to treat Yuy."
"That wasn't my doing. There was a woman involved--"
"Ah." Not needing to know any more, Duo just nodded. "He lost her. My condolences."
"Not to death, Duo. Derekai was..." Quatre caught himself. "It isn't rightfully my place. I'll explain it to you some other time."
Duo nodded. "Speaking of Yuy. Where's he and Trowa been keeping themselves lately?"
"Heero's no mystery," said Quatre. "Trowa, I'm not sure of."
"I see. Well." Duo stretched, yawned widely. "I'd better get started on that girl's Gundam. The customize she asked for won't take long. If you give me three hours, I can send it over and the MS and Maeko can rendezvous in Mozambique."
"That's a good idea. Do that," said Dr. Mierkler.
"Will do, Greg. You and Quatre should sleep, too. The next twenty-four hours will be hell for you guys." Duo paused. "Quatre, after all that Relena did, I didn't think you'd be backing a new war."
"It isn't that," Quatre replied wistfully. "I'm a rich guy. People as lucky as me are needed at this time to protect what Miss Relena and Heero created. It's right, that much I'm certain of."
Or at least he hoped it was.

"What kind of Gundam? Man, this is all going way too fast for me. Can someone at least give me a few details as to what's happening? Maeko asks, rubbing her head with both hands, feeling a headache forming.
"We're not so sure ourselves," Quatre replies, taking care of Reku's wound. "All we know is that there's a new group out there who wants to start a new war. That's why we need you guys to go and be prepared to fight, so our world will have a chance at peace."
"Does that answer your question?" Gallian says from the sidelines. Maeko sighs and looks back at the braided pilot.
"Yeah, I guess. I'm not exactly sure if I can pilot a gundam, but I can try to help. Mr. Maxwell..."
"Call me Duo miss..."
"Maeko. The only weapon I can really fight with is a sword, so gundam with a sword would be best," she answers, fingering her sword.
"Turn around for me Maeko," Duo says, moving his finger in a circle.
"Huh?" Maeko asks, blushing.
"Just turn around." She slowly spins around, getting a look over by Duo. After a few moments of thought, Duo speaks. "Alright. I think I may have a gundam for you. You'll have to come to the colony though so we can tune it and for you to pick it up."
"Thank you Duo...I think."
"I'll come too, alright Dad?" Reku says, his arm bandaged.
"Are you sure? You don't look that well."
"I'm fine. I can handle a little trip and I really need to talk to you about a few things. We'll both leave in my gundam too. That way, Maeko can try piloting hers on the way back."
"I'm not sure. Are you okay with that Miss Maeko?" Quatre asks, looking at the girl with a confused expression on her face.
"First of all, call me Maeko. The whole miss thing is too formal for my liking and I guess I don't see that much of a problem. If this war is supposed to happen soon, I would like to get alot of practice in the gundam."
"ALright then. I'll be seeing you two soon. And Reku, don't do anything I wouldn't do."
"Yes Dad. Bye."
"Man, I never thought I would be getting into something like this.
There we go. Another one down.

As the two got ready to leave Gaillian began to question the plan, " I thought we were all leaving together." Maeko said, " Don't worry We'll pick up the gundam and come home, and if you leave before we get back We'll meet you there." She stepped up to the waiting gundam pilot. " There's something I have to explain first." Reku said pointing to the gundam. " My system is very different then the one you'll be using, but I'll teach you the stuff that dad will probably put in, well step up." Maeko looked around. " On to what?" Reku pointed down.
" Don't think I'd climb up did you, alrigth NightStalker up. Oh and hold on."
He and Maeko rise into the air and board the gundam. " Alright you've got better warrior spirit than me so may be there's a gundam pilot in there too. once we get into space I'll let you take over."
A few minutes later Maeko was in the seat... "Good judt try to stay level with that computer sim. It's just like a big video game."
As she started her test run of the gundam she could hear him singing "change the world" behind her. " How are you doing that, you're not hooked up to anything."
" Ah, but I am, my hearing aids have a special feature. MP3 player. Looks like it my turn, navigating the colony entrance is hard here."
And with that they switched seats.
A few minutes later...
" Hello, I've got your gundam all fixed up for you, It just needs a name.

It was two a.m. in the morning, Cinq Kingdom time, and the only figure besides the security guards at the Preventor Headquarters was a lone, solemn man typing faithfully at his hard-used laptop.
The lamps were off, and the only light came from the computer screen. Statistics zoomed horizontally, being confirmed and deleted as they made their decisive path around his hard drive.
He didn't bother to turn when the door behind him opened and a sliver of yellow light flooded in.
"Trowa. You're late."
"My apologies," came the soft voice. "I had some explanations to give." And they weren't very good ones, Trowa thought. If Catherine knew why he was really here, she'd kill him herself.
"I see." The laptop now shut down, the figure stood. "Then we'll make this as short as possible." Leaving the computer, he followed Trowa out of the office and into a conference room down the hall.
He halted when he saw who was already there. Trowa spoke first.
"We're sorry for keeping you waiting, Vice Foreign Minister. Wufei."
Wufei nodded in greeting. "I trust you have the slides."
"Maxwell may act stupid, but he is certianly dependable," Trowa responded.
"Relena."
Relena turned her head to smile at Trowa's companion. "Good morning, Heero. Early start at work?"
Heero's wrist flew up to his eyes and he glared at his watch. "You have to wake up in five hours."
Relena's eyes glinted in amusement. "You have to wake up in two."
Wufei snorted. Relena Darlian-Peacecraft wasn't his favorite person, but she could certainly hold her own against the Perfect Soldier and that he admired.
Her smile faded when a projector started up and the lights were extinguished.
And a new Gundam lit up one wall.
"After everything," she started, then shook her head. "I'm sorry," she said to the three former Gundam pilots. "It's just that everything we worked for is being destroyed."
"Not destroyed," Trowa murmured. "It's only slipping. The pilot of this mobile suit, along with some others, will catch your peace."
Relena's brows narrowed. "It was never mine," she said sharply.
Heero's eyes slid to bore into her head.
"This is Sage Gundam," said Wufei. "The data I got from Quatre is undeniable. He's with the pilot of this suit as we speak. His name is Gallian Kenn." Wufei hesitated. "When I taught him, he was the former Derekai Zusa."
"Derekai?" Relena turned.
"But no longer. He has killed his name, and the Zusa lineage is now dead."
Relena's heart skipped a couple beats. "I'm very sorry, gentlemen. Mr. Yuy's concern was very well-placed. I should really leave now."
Suspicion rising, Trowa wouldn't give in to her fully. "Heero, escort the Vice Foreign Minister home."
The fading color in her face didn't go unnoticed. "I assure you, that isn't a problem."
"You will be seen home due to the chaos of the times. Your life is one of the only things stabilizing peace, Foreign Minister." Heero slipped her arm through his and began to hustle her out of the building.
"This is ridiculous," Relena protested.
"So is you being anywhere but your bed at two in the morning," Heero told her. "'Mr. Yuy?'"
"Heero." Relena stopped, and he did as well. "The times are very dangerous for me."
"Yes. That's why Une has put me on twenty-four hour guard detail."
"Twenty-four hour...?" Relena paused. "Oh, hell no."
Heero looked back at her. And smirked.

Porthole was still staring at the circular disk when suddenly, lights flashed dangerously around the room accompanied by a loud siren. Instictively, he pushed the round disk into his trouser pocket and trying to avoid the whirling lights, he ducked in and out across the floor.
He had know idea where he was going, but as the room was once again highlighted he saw a small triangular hole in the left wall. Just where he had been standing.
//Ah HELL!// So once again he crossed the floor, ducking and weaving, avoiding the dangerous lights, that at any moment could get him caught by an unknown enemy.
Just then. As he was nearing the wall and everything seemed to be going just perfectly, he slipped. His stumbled to the floor, and went crashing to the ground. Landing with a tremendous bump his head hit something cold and hard. But before he slipped into the unfriendly realms of unconciousness, his unfocused vision caught sight of a tall man with sleek black hair walk in the room.

Alright. Here goes my part on my Gundam.
"A name? Well, I guess I should see it first before I give it a name," Maeko says, looking at Duo.
"Alright. Let's go for a walk then." He turns around and Maeko and Reku follow behind him. Reku leaves Maeko's side and runs up to his father.
"Dad, I really need to talk to you. It's about mom and Alex."
"We'll talk about it later while Maeko tries out her Gundam."
"I wonder what my Gundam will look like? Gundam? Wow, still can't believe
it." The three soon arrive in the back to be met by a giant tarp.
"And now Maeko, I present to you your new Gundam." Duo pulls off the tarp to show a gundam, Maeko's gundam, kneeling. She starts walking towards it, admiring all the details.
It was a white gundam with purple and blue trimmings, slightly skinnier than a normal gundam and what looked like a purple skirt on. On it's shoulders, were two small barrel guns. As she goes around, two larger guns are found folded away and between what would be shoulder blades was a sword handle popping out of a long cylinder.
"It's amazing Duo. Thank you so much."
"I knew you would like it. I even tried to make it a little more girly for you. You probably even saw the sword in the back. IT's not a normal metal sword though, but it's gauranteed to cut through anything. So what are you going to name it?"
"I think I'm going to name it LadyStar," she says touching the foot.
"Nice name. Fits it too," Reku says.
"How can I thank you? This must have taken so much work," Maeko asks looking at the two.
"You don't have to do anything. I'll do almost anything for a friend of Reku's. How about you go inside now? Reku and I need to have a little talk."
"Sure." She pays her attention back to LadyStar as the two men turn around and head inside.
"SO Reku, what's happening?"
"A name? Well, I guess I should see it first before I give it a name," Maeko says, looking at Duo.

A man dressed in a long, white lab coat, designed in a more futuristic style than usual, walked down a narrow hall. In his hand he held some kind of chemical, deadly or not it looked strange. Green in colour one minute, then the next swirls of colour would change it to yellow.
'Father? What are you doing?'
'Nothing dear,' the tired, cracked voice of the man said.
'You've been working all night, why don't you rest a while. You said yourself you weren't feeling well.'
'That boy in there isn't feeling well Naora' the man walked up to the 16 year old girl, and with his free hand stoked her soft raven-black hair in a paternal manner, 'if i don't do something now, that boy could get seriously unwell. I don't know exactly what he's been through, but just by looking at him i can tell its a lot.'

'Well a man named Wufei came to see you about the boy...he says his name is Porthole, but he won't tell me any more than that.'
'Ah Wufei'
'Do you know him father?'
'What? Oh yes, yes dear, after the wars Wufei asked me to make his speccialised swords that only he and his trainees use, he also asked me to rebuild his gundam in a more specialised way. That reminds me, you said your's needed fixing.'
'Yeah' Naora left through a door in the left.

"I need to be get going Trowa." Wufei says, putting away the phone he had up to his ear.
"Why are you leaving so soon?" Trowa asks, putting away the equipment to be used at another time when everyone could get together.
"We just found our fourth gundam pilot."

"How are you doing Porthole?" the man asks, watching the boy opening his eyes and getting himself into a sitting position.
"Who are you?" Porthole asks, his eyes having no emotion, like he was never asleep in the first place.
"I'm a friend. Now you don't look so good. If you take some of this, you'll feel better." He hands him the drink. THe boy looks at it suspiciously and takes it, drinking it quickly and putting the empty contents on the floor and closing his eyes.
"No thanks I see. A friend of mine told me about your abilities."
"Abilities?" Porthole questions, opening his eyes again.
"Yes. You're very special you know. You have the ability to transport yourself. That's how you came here I guess. And soon enough, my friend should be coming by to pick you up."
I hope this was alright. Things seem to be getting along now.
