What makes you write?

Got writer's block? Want to improve your prose? Grammar and spelling gotcha down? Then get out your sock puppets and chuck your sanity to the wind! (sanity is the number one block to writing)

Trust Melrose to be modest.

But about yaoi... hand on heart. I've read a few yaoi fics, basically around 1x2, and they were pretty good and BELIEVABLE. But, just like Melrose said, though I can read a yaoi based fic, I still, and will always go for hetero, it's what I write, so...

If people like to write about homosexuality, be my guest. Although, as I've mentioned before, I've never seen an episode, much less a scene in GW that supported yaoi. Never. Ever. So, just as people bash Relena, let them. I'm not gonna die, you are not gonna die, and the world's not gonna end. I just don't have to read it. BUT I DO!! How can I be so contradictory!

Let people write what they want. We're safe here. Rose would never ever permit yaoi on her site. REMEMBER, this is the realm where Heero and Relena rule! Mwahahahaa!!

I'll go now.

For me, it's a variety of things. When I'm really moved to write, and I can just sit down and type the entire story out, that's what I think is my best writing (this sentence, however, is not. ^_~) Slogging through is practice in patience and taking the time to make something 'decent' 'good'. And sometimes I just sit down and write a little blurb, save it, and who knows - maybe I'll have a fic that I can insert that litte bit in. That's the time it's relaxing. But if I had to choose, I'd take option number one. Give me a pot of coffee and I can literally write an entire story. The first three chapters of Choosing Fate was written like that.

Well, I have to say that I write because it is something I love. It's the way I express myself. I express myself lots of other ways, but I have had a long standing dream that one day I'd be a professional writer. That's still what I want to do, but we'll see when that actually happens.

But I think that in the most basic reason that I had when I was younger was that, I love reading stories, and I want to share my own stories with others. :)

I write to inflict the awful torture of my terrible fics upon the world MWA HA HA HA!!!!
Have you had your recommended daily allowance of ravishing? 8)

I believe in love stories but despise romances.

I want to write fics that slap all the standard fanfiction conventions around the face with
a wet fish and call them Betsy ~ me to Wicked.

Cupid's arrow is really a nuclear warhead...it leaves total devastion in it wake.

I write because of the break-up of my very first serious boyfriend. Went into a depression of two years, and between those years, I picked up writing and haven't stopped since, only when I get a writer's block. I was writing 5 chapters a night, and then I suddenly stopped... but either way, music is the best muse..

Writing is like an outflow of information, to counterbalance the inflow of information I get from watching or reading anime. I also definately like the kind of power you get from being able to manipulate characters and situations. It's also interesting to see what kind of solution I can come up with when I unintentionally or intentionally put the characters in a conflict. Hm...I get inspired by opinions, my own beliefs or/and interpretations.

Other reason: to fill up voids! Sometimes a certain pairing is underepresented, and I just feel the need to put something out there. Plus, I like feedback!

hehehe, yea, feedback is nice. It feels wonderful when people appreciate what I wrote and even if they don't, I can take what they didn't like, work with it and, hopefully, improve. Writing is something I do for me. It's one of my only outlets so I take it and embrace it. One day, i want to make something decent enough to earm me some bucks <smirks>. But for now, I write to improve and to express myself through the characters and their situations.

Wow, really? You want to earn some money from your writing? That's very cool! ~cheers~

Feedback is definately great. I especially appreciate it when they give me constructive criticism rather than the usual, "very good! great story! Are you going to continue this?" It shows that they've carefully read through my writing and I appreciate that extra effort.

I write cuz there's a 400 pound idea muse on my back and I have read too many bad stories (not here, thankfully!) and I have this arrogant idea that I could do better!

Really, we all write cuz we really didn't like the ending. Am I right on this? *_*
