GW Challenge #33 - "Distractions" (3xR)

This is kind of embarrassing, but...I didn't realize that this was going to an LJ community. ^^;;;;;; I thought this was a BI-only prompt. I'm actually surprised I didn't get flamed by all the yaoi fans for daring to tread on their precious, precious yaoi list with my het fic. -_- Yet another reason why I'm avoiding the majority of the fandom.

No, the main reason WHY I post those challenges is that so ppl will write het for the community regardless if they are members there or not. There has been a serious lack of het of course cause of the 1x2 fans taking over, hence why I wanted to promote more het, have it shoved down their throats for a change (so to speak). I guess I'll make that more clear when the next challenge is posted.

BUT see, the community was never all yaoi, its, now brace yourself.....an OPEN pairing or non pairing place. It was calm for awhile then all the freaks started to show more and really started to irritate me.

Don't worry about the flamage, Pond is pretty good at keeping the place flamage free, she's pretty strict on flaming and bashing of characters. Out of all the fics that were posted there, there was only one Rel bashing/monster bitch ficlet. Course if your not a Rel fan, its not going to be considered bashing as most of her buddies looked at it (the writer that is). But that was the only horrible fic posted, thank god.

Nono, don't worry...I'm the one who didn't bother to pay attention to the situation. I'm fairly certain that I knew about the gw500 community before this, too, so it's not like this should've come as a total shock. And I know what you mean...I stopped by the community when I realized where it had probably been posted, and skimmed over some of the other fics--ALL yaoi. It was disgusting. I can't believe that NO ONE else writes het--what the heck happened? Did all the het writers jump ship when the 1x2 fans started getting unbearable?

I read the community rules after reading your post with my fic, and my response was, "yeah, right". It's not that I don't trust Pond's ability to keep people in line, but I've had some pretty rotten experiences with the 1x2 crowd, so I'm a bit cynical. But then no one really read or responded to the ficlet, so it's not like I had anything to be nervous about.

Relena bashers are a new and exciting breed of stupid. It never occurs to them that what they're doing is insulting, because they're not bright enough to consider anyone but themselves. And yeah, I'm being nasty, because I'm sick and tired of having to just grin and bear it while they totally rag on a character that I like, and if I can't rant about how much I dislike 3x4 and 1x2, then why should they be able to do their equivalent of the same?

But I don't mean to be ingrateful or anything. I really am thankful that you posted it there, since I never would've done it. I just didn't expect that it would get posted somewhere that's 90% yaoi. At least the person who did respond was nice about it. ^^

Weird... I'm starting to like 3xR... well, first of all HeeroxRelena fics are my fave... The second... hmmm... maybe Duo... or Trowa... ARGH!!!! :-?

Wonderful piece of writing. I am still a little surprised that Relena has been able to resist for... hmm... perhaps five minutes? I wouldn?t have, that?s for sure. This was really nice and fun, and gosh, I think I am still grinning at the moment. Can?t help it.
