A new twist in this-but it seems it won't be over till the fat lady sings...I won't hold my breath for an end either.
Chapter 498: "Hiraikotsu Reborn"
Okay, so we start this one off with Naraku telling Sango the obvious-that Kohaku's been avoiding her on his own, though he says it's because she reminds him of the mess he made of thier father and comrades.
Sango's all like-"Psh, so what? I know that. He hung with Kikyou and then Sesshoumaru-when he could've hung with me, so it's kinda-duh." She proceeds to tell Narki that they both remember the day he killed the taijiya and that they won't die till his sins are allayed...or some garbage. Naraku intensifies the jaki in our Amber hero's shard.
The Inu-gumi races along for a preview cameo where Kags tells Inuyasha to hurry, the shard is becoming more tainted.
Back at the fun-house. Kohaku tosses his weapon hitting Sango's. Surprise abounds....really....Naraku comments on the fact that Kohaku can speak even though he's jaki infected. Sango loses her cool and *WHOOSH!* Away flies the Hiraikotsu! Naraku's all "yeah, right" and then BAM! The bone boomerang splits him in half and drags most of his body away with it! And does more damage on the rebound.
Naraku's tune alters suddenly to: "Oh shit! I can't reform! The hell is this?! OMG It's like a jaki poison! Damnit!" And (this is where it sucks...) the bum races off and escapes again...::sigh::
Everyone races in surprised that Hiraikotsu did something so amazingly upgradedly cool. Sango admits she was too. Inuyasha says he can smell the sake from Yaroudoukousen*
Inuyasha then finds that he's stepped on Jaken-who asks about Rin. Who is fine-but Kohaku on the other hand, can't move because of the Jaki within his body from the tainted shard.
Soo...another chapter gone...and still no end to Naraku. Idiot escaped again. He's probably gonna do some annoying ass thing like make it so the Hiraikotsu's poison can't harm him either. Anyway, my bet is Kags is gonna purify Kohaku and they'll all be on the road again. Till next chapter.

Its so utterly deflating to know that this seems to be an endless circle, but at least there still seems to be hope of something actually ending. All we can hope for now is that its gonna end in a way we'll be satisfied with.

Late for me posting I know (not like anyone *really* cares...but) I didn't feel up to posting for the past couple days. 'Sides, it's another chapter that goes technically no where.
Chapter 499: "Monster's Shard"
As expected Kagome is busy purifying Kohaku's shard and chatting. Kohaku relates what happened when Naraku's tenticles tried touching the shard. It gets Kagome thinking about what Kikyou told her before she vanished and what Kanna had shown her before she died as well.
Sango butts in now and seems to start to scold Kohaku for trying to take Naraku on himself. Rin claims that Naraku was out to take his head and ick-i-fy the shard, and Kohaku is all "SSHHHHUT uuup..." but he explains to Sango that his shard obviously causes Naraku pain...sooo...
Inuyasha butts in now-and rams Kohaku's head down. He snarls at them to stop beating around the bush and just tell him straight out. Kags slams him and says he's being violent in front of little ones. Jaken becomes slightly offended. Sango's all like-"Nah, he's right. Kohaku-you're weak buddy, making you easy pickin's for Naraku's mind games. And that's not something you can fix fighting alone."
Kagome tells him to take care of what Kikyou entrusted him with, and he's all...uh-sure...
We follow up on Miroku now for an EMO moment, sitting all alone by the river. He looks at his kazanna arm and takes note that the shouki poisoning has spread...and begs that he survives till the end at least.
Sesshi's turn! He's sort of returned from his trip to Toutousai, and stands alone on a cliff top musing over what the old coot said. He's interupted by Byakuya. He spins letting loose a Meidou attack without thinking and Byak's all like: "Wow...wanna kill me that fast, huh? Even though I've got somat ta give ya?" Sessh recognizes him and he asks if he's distressed about his tenseiga, tells him not to glare, he'd heard all about it from mountain bugs. Sessh flips his lid and runs his Dokasou into Byak's chest saying he had no right to hear that.
Byak turns out to be an illusion of himself and leaves a shard of Kanna's mirror youkai in Sesshi's possession-He stares at it and is all like...WTF?
Back at the ranch-Inuyasha is having a spat with Jaken because Jaken wants them all to leave. As Inu beats up and threatens Jaken Sessh walks back in on the scene, making Rin squeal with joy.
Sessh takes little notice as he recalls Byak explaining to him that-hey-spread the shard of mirror all over Tenseiga you can reverse the effect and have it eat Tetsusaiga's power! Sessh is all like "yeeah...this is such an obvious trap. Naraku wants us to destroy each other's sword...But-there's merit in falling into this one..." And walks up to Scruffy telling him to Draw. Scruff gives him a look and is all: "Huuunnh?"
And that's where it ends for this week. Next week promises a huge final battle between Fluffy and Scruffy. The one that'll decide the fate of the pair of fang blades...A big blow out in full color for chapter 500. Though I'd really rather see the end of the story...but...I guess Takahashi-san's still drunk off her ass...>> Anyway-till next time.

Miko, this thread is the only one i'm following on the whole site! I know there's other good stuff, but this is the most interesting and fun to read. I really hope you can find the time and energy to keep it up, I'm so glad you're doing this! I can't believe the story is cotinuing still... it's amazing really... I wonder if takahashi is losing fans because they're just fed up? Or if she thinks she's making emough money continuing it? Oh well. The point is, whatever is happening in the story, I (and all the people who read this but don't comment every time) really appreciate your summaries. I most certainly hope you keep it up! Thank you so much!

Aww...thanks...I wasn't planning on stopping anyway. I use these as records of my own as much as for everyone else's reading pleasure. I can't believe it's still going on either---but here we are at chapter 500 and no end yet in sight....
Chapter 500: "Successor"
Face off. Fluffy and Scruffy stare at eachother and Inuyasha asks what the hell is wrong with Sessh. Sessh shows that he's serious about this by just throwing a Meidou at him-which he's surprised at. He decides to get all serious and tries a Kaze no Kizu...And it doesn't come out.
Suddenly Tenseiga *pulsates* and changes its form to look like Tetsusaiga! And Inu smells something from it...Sesshoumaru then uses the Kaze no Kizu at Scruffy. He leaps back and barks out if he'd been messing with Naraku. As the others wonder what he means-he explains that he smells Naraku coming from his sword. Byakuya pops on over and apologizes, saying that was his scent actually-and goes on to explain what he did for Sesshi.
Everyone starts bawking on Sessh asking him why-and how he could do such a thing as relying on Naraku again-after all the shit he's done to them all. Byak's like-"Um well-guess we should move this fight elsewhere!" And somehow moves Fluffy and Scruffy to floating pieces of land in the sky.
Sesshi figures out that they could fight here without disruption. Inuyasha yells that he misjudged him, how could he want the Tetsusaiga that badly. To which Sesshi lets loose a Kongosouha and breaks the other side of the chunk of land.
Back on the farm: Everyone wonders where the hell the boys went-and Byak went too, and try to figure out what Sesshi was up to-and Kags thinks that-there's no way Inu can win because when Kanna's mirror youkai had the faux Tetsusaiga, the real one wouldn't work at all.
Meanwhile-Sessh finds that Inuyasha has vanished and fiures that he was really that weak, and therefore should have never had Tetsusaiga anyway. But of course Scruffy leaps down from a flying youkai and asks him if he wants him dead that badly. Sesshi blocks his attack and says: "If you're weak I'll kill you..." And then shoving him back claims: "And then I'll disgard both the swords!"
And that ends this weeks chapter. Another little cliff hanger on the 500th chapter...whoo-hoo. x.x;; Personally-I've never cared about any "final battle" between scruffy and fluffy...I'd always counted on the two bitches getting over it and eventually working together to smash Narki...And possibly Tenseiga saving the little Amber Hero. But w/e. Till next week!

Chapter 501: "Backflow"
First thing we see is Sesshoumaru claiming that he won't be merciful and if anyone's gonna die, it'll be Inu. (How many times have we heard that now?) The next four panels and two pages are of Inu getting blown back by the Tenseiga's stolen Kaze no Kizu.
Byakuya, meanwhile, is with the still smashed up Naraku and-missing an eye. Said eye is watching this battle and Byaku is thereby relaying the details back to Narki. Tells him looks like Fluffy's all ready to kill Scruffy. And Naraku's like-"Whoo-Hoo! I knew tempting Sesshi with his sore spot, Tetsusaiga, would yield positive results!"
Back on the farm: Sessh stares over the cliffside Inu got smashed down. Inu leaps back up with a shadowed out face. (We all should know what that means by now!) Sesshi is all: "!" as Inu screams back up with a return whack and, you guessed it! His Full Youkai face on! Yippie! Sessh leaps back and Inu leaps on a flying youkai. Fluffy thinking that Scruff still changes in times of desperation comments on it. Scruff lands and strikes a pose. (Vogue, Vogue, Vogue!...yea-I'm a nerd...shh.)
He realizes this is like when he was fighting Kanna's mirror youkai*-but a little different cuz-the power Tetsusaiga should have lost is being dragged into Scruff's body...The two blades start to resonate--again.** Clash, Boom, Bash! The lighting crashed! Scruff lunges back at Fluffy-and being pushed back realizes-hey! Hoo-Ha! Tetsusaiga's getting it's mojo back! SO what does he do? Throws a Kaze no Kizu back in Fluffy's direction-and then is all surprised when it's done.
Sessh sits back for a moment and considers that it only took crossing blades to make the power go back. And Inu yells out: "Next I'm taking Koungosouha back!" (and I'm thinking...whhhyy? That's the single most stupid sounding attack ever...though the English forms of all of them are really even more horrible...but-I won't go there.)
Final mind blowing page (as if...) for this chapter is! Drum roll please...Sesshi's standing there thinking: "Psh, if you really are Chichiue's successor...EAT HAM THEN!" and sends a Meidou attack Inuyasha's way to see if he can absorb that...
AND so ends another devestatingly blaze chapter again involving our two favorite swords and a couple more upgrades! Yay! ::rolls eyes and yawns:: Someone just destroy the two blades already...They are so-like-totally Yesterday! Like Duuh! So, next week we're promised more stupid fight and an attack to possibly prove that Inuyasha's the successor...like anyone cares any more...x.x;; THREE WORDS: FINISH OFF NARAKU.

so... maybe they don't know *how* to kill off naraku. It's been so built up, they can't think of something dramatic enough to make his death worthwhile. I want to tell takahashi to go stand in the corner with a dunce hat on until she figures it out. How frustrating. *sigh*
Oh well. As always, thanks for the summary and appropriate comments throughout. I can't help thinking of DBZ... fifteen minutes of recap, five of yelling and glowing and the earth shaking, five of "next time..." and it's over.

502 and the battle continues! x.x
Chapter 502: "Proof"
We last left off with Fluffy releasing a Medou Zengutsuha at Scruffy...Soo-That's where we come back to. Next page is THE FULL PAGE OF DOOM! :O Scruff can't block or avoid the void! Oh noes! What ever will he do?! He starts to get pulled in, and Sessh says *he* perfected this attack. (Big whooptie doo...Now ask us if we care, Fluff.)
It's only now that Inu realizes he's being dragged into hell...(smart one, that pup...) Byakuya is still watching this and relaying the info back to the in pieces Naraku...And he's all happy-shmappy-bappy that Inu's getting sucked into Hell. Sessh stands there thinking..."Okaay...Psh...I guess Inu wasn't the successor...And-um-I don't want Tenseiga like this." and so tosses it into the void too.
Tenseiga goes in-but gets all shiny and inside the nothing the Tetsusaiga becomes Dragon Scaled Tetsusaiga* Sesshi sees Inu's youki in the nothing-and Inu's confuzzed about what the hell Tetsusaiga's doing...There's nothing but him there. He soon realizes- "OHhh Billy...that's my own youki..." Naraku sees and figures that if he cuts that-he'll destroy himself!
Inuyasha figures that out too-but he's all-"Oh well! I'll trust my blade!" and slashes anyway. Naraku laughs-as Scruff's youki begins to expand. Sesshi notices too. Inu looks like he's trying to control it-it grows and tries to eat the Meidou. Naraku doesn't look to happy.

Chapter 502: "Proof"
We last left off with Fluffy releasing a Medou Zengutsuha at Scruffy...Soo-That's where we come back to. Next page is THE FULL PAGE OF DOOM! :O Scruff can't block or avoid the void! Oh noes! What ever will he do?! He starts to get pulled in, and Sessh says *he* perfected this attack. (Big whooptie doo...Now ask us if we care, Fluff.)
It's only now that Inu realizes he's being dragged into hell...(smart one, that pup...) Byakuya is still watching this and relaying the info back to the in pieces Naraku...And he's all happy-shmappy-bappy that Inu's getting sucked into Hell. Sessh stands there thinking..."Okaay...Psh...I guess Inu wasn't the successor...And-um-I don't want Tenseiga like this." and so tosses it into the void too.
Tenseiga goes in-but gets all shiny and inside the nothing the Tetsusaiga becomes Dragon Scaled Tetsusaiga* Sesshi sees Inu's youki in the nothing-and Inu's confuzzed about what the hell Tetsusaiga's doing...There's nothing but him there. He soon realizes- "OHhh Billy...that's my own youki..." Naraku sees and figures that if he cuts that-he'll destroy himself!
Inuyasha figures that out too-but he's all-"Oh well! I'll trust my blade!" and slashes anyway. Naraku laughs-as Scruff's youki begins to expand. Sesshi notices too. Inu looks like he's trying to control it-it grows and tries to eat the Meidou. Naraku doesn't look to happy.
