Thank you very much. This story is very dear to me for a lot of reasons. I'm not going to change the names and publish it, but I have considered rewriting the story and publishing a modern version in the same spirit/basic plot. If I did so, the main character male wouldn't have to be trained as a killer (although that might be exciting). This kind of thing happens in everyday relationships with completely normal people who just aren't ready or aren't right for each other, etc. It will probably be years before I would try to rewrite the story... but i will keep the idea in mind!
