Yuki?

I really like Yuki... More than Kyo *dodges knives* I think he would make Tohru happier than Kyo because he thinks his actions/words through more carefully. I also really think he loves her, even if he has Machi now (I like her, but I resent her for distracting Yuki from Tohru!) I also largely disagree with what Rose had to say about Yuki, I think his desire to make people like him is sad, because as he said himself he ended up making them like the illusion he had created and not really him. He's not selfish, he just wants to be loved (and who can blame the guy for that?) He envies Kyo as much as Kyo envies him, and that is why he can't help Kyo get through his anger. Yuki sees that Kyo can not appreciate the gifts he has been given in being free from the familie's relentless scrutiny. I would say more on the subject, but I have a paper that I really should be writing right now... So thanks for the discussion, all the perspectives are very interesting.

Its not that I hate him or anything. When I was reading the manga[the 2nd volume and i think 10th]. Thats where the Hat comes out. I strongly believed that it had belonged to Kyou[which it does], but that it was Kyou that had saved Tohru instead of Yuki. Sigh. So in the end, he kinda ruined my little fantasy/hope. It kind of pissed me off. I just L0VE Kyou better. Its like they`re made for each other; Yin and Yang, mean, loud and quiet, and nice. You know, like polar opposites...they attract right? :)

I've finished the anime and I've started the manga. (And actually, it wasn't in that order, but... let's ignore that. ^_^)

I'm still not sure which pairing I want to ship. @.@ I see great opportunies in both Yukiru and Kyoru... and good evidence for both (so far). I think I'll just reserve my judgement until I get to know the manga better. ^_^

I was fairly certain it was going to be Tohru/Kyo when I watched the anime and started the manga. :cry: I just liked the idea of Tohru/Yuki better. :-P I may have known I wasn't going to get my way, but I can dream, right? :lol:

I always thought it was going to be one of those animes where it left the pairing open... kinda like samurai champloo. :wink:

But Tohru confesses her love for one of them?

I've seen a lot of really good TohruxKyo fics... not just here, but elsewhere on the net too. Does anyone, by any chance, know of any good fics/sites for Yuki and Tohru?

Why thank you I like it too :D It's actually from one of his novels... I think Fahrenheit 451. I have yet to find a REALLY GOOD shrine to Tohru and Yuki. There were some good fics at fanfiction.net, and there are some excellent music videos for the pairing at animemusicvideos.org, but other than that you really just have to keep your eyes open. I'll see if I can find anything to recommend to you.
