The sun, is an evil and irritating thing. Well, not normally, but at 6 am it is!
"Relena." Voices at 6am were very annoying too. There should be a law against them.
"Relena, wake up." Stupid voice, interrupting blissful unconsciousness.
"Dun wanna..." Nice warm, soft, blanket... Not moving.
"You are running late, you have a meeting in twenty minutes." The gears in her mind slowly starting turning as she processed that thought; meeting, something important, President!"
"WHAT!? Why did you let me sleep in so late!?" She was quickly rushing around the room to get dressed at an inhuman pace.
Heero blinked at the site, wondering why there was so much panic every time she had to get dressed. On an average day it only took him 32.8 seconds to get dressed. That .8 was really bugging him lately so he was determined to trim the .8 off Not that he obsessed about such things, because he did not. Spending exactly 45 seconds drinking a glass of orange juice is being efficient, not obsessive, really, it is.
After 2.4 minutes of Relena running around getting ready and yelling at him for not waking her up they were in her limo riding to her office. After taking a deep breath, Relena began to exercise her prerogative as a women, she began complaining and blaming everything wrong on the nearest man.
"Why didn't you get me up on time?" I would glare at him if it didn't hurt just to have my eyes open.
"I did, you said '5 more minutes' and went back to sleep." She scoffed, as if she would really do something like that.
"Then why didn't you get me up in 5 minutes?" Ha! Think you can fool me? Take that mr-perky-except-not in the mornings.
"You hit me in the stomach." He would NOT admit to being surprised by the blow. Heero Yuy did NOT get hit with a surprise attack by his own wife. He just, didn't feel like moving out of the way, it required too much effort.
"That explains why my hand hurts. Why didn't my stupid alarm clock work?" Now that she thought about it, she needed a less annoying alarm.
"You threw it." She blinked.
"At the wall?" She blinked again.
"In to the pool." There was more blinking, followed by a pause. I threw my alarm? In my sleep?
"... My bedroom is on the second story." For that matter, there is a window...
"Yes it is. I have the glass repair man coming at 4." Oh.
"You are making this up." It was the only explanation.
"Why would I do that?" How does he do that thing with his eyebrows when he is confused?
"That doesn't matter, but you must be. I don't have a hard time getting up in the morning; you probably put a sedative in my tea last night or something." Did I drink any tea last night? Well, if I did, it MUST have been drugged.
"You passed out reading the newspaper without my help." The paper? I thought that was a blanket, with words...
"Stop arguing with me! Stupid morning if I just had some..." She was cut off by him holding a magical substance in front of her. The power of this substance had been discovered sometime hundreds of years ago. More importantly for Relena, it was something she discovered two months ago. This thing is perhaps the pinnacle of man's achievements.
Yes, it was a starbucks peppermint mocha latte.
"If you think I'm just going to forget I'm mad at you just because you hold a cup of-" Her words were cut off as he opened the lid and she slowly inhaled the aroma.
"What was I saying again?" Her eyes were closed as she properly appreciated the sweet aroma.
"How much you like caffeine." One might wonder how Heero managed to deliver lines like that with a straight face, but they would be let to wonder since he would never tell.
She slowly slipped the substance she would gladly take over ambrosia itself (as if it wasn't already that).
"This is almost perfect, if only I had a-" her voice trailed off as the smell of fresh blueberries reached her from the muffin held in Heero's outstretched hand. "…Blueberry muffin. Okay Mr. predict-every-step I make, what if I said I wanted a-" True to his annoying or efficient form (depending on who you asked) Heero was already holding a "…bran muffin. How do you do that?"
He shrugged without giving an answer. She decided muffins and caffeine were more worth her limited time on this trip then questioning him. Later that day though it really started to bug her, not that she would EVER admit it. She asked Sally's opinion, who said she should be glad Heero anticipates her every craving for caffeine and pastries. Hildie agreed, so did Dorthy, which clearly meant they were all against her.

One Step Ahead...
The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, "I'm from the government and I'm here to help.''
Ronald Reagan
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.
Mark Twain (1835 - 1910)
Don't get stuck on stupid.
People are too busy talking to say anything important.

This story is endearing and genuinely thought of as hilarious...
..maybe it's because I work at the infamous/famous Starbucks while in school, which some of you might appreciate and well, some of you might want to shoot me for. (We're not all snotty, just some) I've actually had my own 'snotty experience' from another Starbucks near my store (yea, there's 5 around Granville&Broadway, can you imagine?) Anyhow, this stuck-up moron oh-so-matter-of-factly said, "sure, but we don't put whip cream on green tea lattes" after I showed her my partner card for the standard 30% discount (as if I don't already know that!)
You should have seen her face...just made me want to stick a steaming curling iron up her bum...
Oh well, I digress....Anyways, I thought it was really cute how you incorporated the muffins and the drink (although, we simply just stick to calling it a ___ mocha...latte's a different entity to us - thanks to that freakin' "bar" time) white choco mocha is really good!
Entertaining story..keep it coming!

The drink name was supplied to me, my drinks are limited to wate, milk, and orange juice. So I consulted a regular.
Why would it be wrong to relate to the banter?
Now, if you are throwing alarm clocks at the window...
