Sticky Kisses
The moment he saw what they were going to do, he regretted his decision. He knew there were more important things that he can do than waste his precious time doing a task that he knew she can do by herself.
But how did she ever persuade him? Was it when she gave him that cute little pout when he refused? And he knew he could never resist that pout of hers.
?Heero, are you going to just stand there or are you going to help me set up??
?Relena,? he said, keeping his voice as deadpan as possible, ?do I really have to bake with you??
Relena tilted her head up as she gave him a laugh, making Heero annoyed. She always laughed at him whenever he says something she thought was ?silly.? Giving her a grunt, he crossed his arms and stayed on his spot, his eyes trailing directly to the baking materials on the kitchen table.
?Oh Heero, it?s not that bad.?
No reply. Heero tried to keep as quiet as possible, hoping she would give up. Although he knew that was far from possible, it couldn?t hurt to try.
A light, feathery touch caressed the right side of his cheek and Heero was forced to avert his gaze from the table to look at Relena staring at him, her eyes dancing with emotions of amusement and delight. He found himself leaning to her touch.
Relena felt Heero?s response; in one swift motion, she took his arm and dragged him with little effort. Ha! She caught him off guard! But right in that moment, Heero stopped walking, seized both of her shoulders in a firm grip, and pulled her to him, his muscular body crushing into her small form. Relena squeaked; she punched Heero?s chest lightly, not to hurt him, but to give him the impression that she wasn?t going to change his mind. Heero did get her point because he released her and gave a defeated sigh.
?See? I knew you?d give in!?
She didn?t know that Heero was forming a well-planned idea in his mind.
?Hn. Fine. But what do I get from this torture you placed upon me??
?Delicious, home baked brownies??
No reply.
?Err? you don?t like brownies?? He noticed the disappointed tone of her voice.
A tiny smile tugged on his lips. ?That?s not what I meant.?
Relena placed her hands on her hips and frowned. ?Then what??
?What would be my reward from you?? The smile on his face grew as Relena?s mouth opened in understanding.
?Oh.?
Heero controlled the laughter than threatened to burst; instead he grabbed the box of flour and the bowl from the table. He turned again to face Relena, who was still staring at him.
?Well,? he said, ?shall we??
oooooo
?Relena, don?t forget to put two eggs.?
?I did.?
?You only put one.?
?Oh? oops.?
?And ? cup of cocoa.?
?Always perfect with procedures, huh, Heero??
?Hn.?
While Relena busied herself stirring the ingredients on the bowl, Heero took out a pan from one of the cabinets. When the two of them proceeded to pour the combined ingredients on the pan, the phone rang.
?I?ll get it,? Relena offered, leaving Heero to finish with the pouring. When Relena re-entered the kitchen, she was surprised when Heero already placed the pan inside the oven.
?? Who was complaining of baking earlier?? she said, ?And you practically finished it for me.?
??Hn. Who called?? Heero asked, changing the topic.
?Milliardo,? she answered, ?He?s coming over today to visit. Well, good thing we baked brownies.? Relena walked towards Heero and wrapped her arms around him. She gave Heero a grateful smile.
?Thanks for baking with me.?
Instead of a ?you?re welcome?, Heero dipped his finger on the chocolate mix left in the bowl and placed it her nose. Relena giggled and did the same to him.
Midnight blue eyes locked with sky blue.
In a split second, Heero and Relena attacked each other with hands full of chocolate mix. When Relena reached one side of Heero?s face, she wasted no time to spread the chocolate on his cheek all the way to his lips. Heero then grabbed Relena?s wrist and spread his chocolate covered hand on her face, accidentally spreading it on her neck when she tried to block his arm.
Heero suddenly stopped as he felt Relena tremble. Panic bubbling inside him, Heero carefully tilted Relena?s bowed head.
?Hey?? his voice sounded choked. This was one of those times that Heero felt the fear run throughout his entire body. He watched as Relena closed her eyes, her lips pursed as if in pain. He knew he had gone far from teasing her; his mind searched for any way to apologize.
But then, Relena laughed. Heero felt ridiculous and frowned.
?I thought you were going to cry,? he said honestly. Relena stared at him and grinned. She knew well by now that Heero was serious when it comes to her being hurt or sad and knew he would try anything to make her smile again. Relena didn?t mean to make him worry.
?I?m sorry? I was trying not to laugh, but I?m just so happy,? she assured him. Heero nodded, but the ridiculous feeling didn?t leave him.
It seemed Relena felt what he was feeling. ?Heero, don?t feel absurd when you though I was going to cry. It?s okay, really.?
But then Heero smirked and now Relena felt ridiculous herself.
?You?re going to pay for that,? Heero said, his voice low. Before she could say anything further, Heero closed the gap between them, kissing her lips with his chocolate covered ones. Relena slowly closed her eyes and felt a cold surface on her back as Heero pressed her on the wall.
Relena giggled as Heero's lips started to make its way on her cheek down to her neck. ?You?re so sticky.?
Heero stopped his kisses and stared at her. ?So are you.?
?I have to take a shower then?? Relena told him, giving Heero a mischievous look. Heero took it as his cue and carried her upstairs to the bathroom.
?On second thought, we can?t. My brother?s coming soon.?
Heero rolled his eyes. ?Can?t he visit some other time? And why is he coming anyway??
?Because he?s still worried about me,? Relena replied, turning the shower on and taking off her clothes before stepping inside the tub. Heero did the same with his clothes and followed her in.
?You mean he?s worried that I live with you now,? Heero corrected her. Relena grimaced and applied some shampoo on her hair and Heero?s.
?He just can?t believe I married the man who defeated him in a battle a long time ago.?
?Cause he?s such a loser.?
?Heero! Don?t be mean!?
?Forget it? Besides, we haven?t finished what we started in the kitchen?? Heero whispered in her ear. Relena laughed heartily.
?Is that going to be your reward??
Heero kissed her again.
ooooooo
Milliardo entered the house with his duplicate key (he got one, just in case his sister?s husband won?t let him in), wondering where Relena and her husband went. Most of the lights were off, except for a light in the kitchen. He could also hear classical music upstairs.
?Relena, are you here?? his voice echoed throughout the house.
oOo
Relena sat straight up from bed as she recognized her brother?s voice inside the house. In a hurry (and panic), she ran towards her closet and rummaged for clothes. After a minute, she was ready to rush downstairs when she heard Heero?s voice. She turned around and saw her husband already fully dressed and leaning on the wall.
?Better brush your hair first,? he said, his voice cool and amused.
oOo
?Milliardo, it?s so wonderful to see you,? she gave Milliardo a warm embrace. After the hug, Relena went back to Heero?s side, with Heero snaking an arm around her waist. Milliardo saw this and gave his brother-in-law a fierce look which Heero did not miss to see.
?Yuy,? Milliardo greeted him, his voice almost a growl.
?Zechs,? Heero greeted back.
?I still can?t believe you?re my sister?s husband??
Heero glared and was ready to retort when his nose picked up a smell. ?I smell something burning. In the kitchen.?
Relena?s eyes widened. ?My brownies!?
All three dashed to the kitchen. Heero quickly turned off the oven and took out the pan of brownies without getting himself burned. Turning around, he saw Relena, gaping and staring regretfully at their burned brownies.
Meanwhile, Milliardo was looking suspicious.
?Brownies do not take that long to bake,? he said matter-of-factly, ?What were you two doing to take your minds off the time??

What were Heero and Relena doing to forget and check the brownies, hm?

Sorry if it?s a bit long? for a one shot. And no, I?m don?t have anything against Milliardo [aka Zechs], but it?s just so fun writing him as the overprotective bro? and its fun writing Heero and Relena as a married couple. *sheepish grin*
