= hey, its been a while. So yeah heres the next installment. Just remember that this is a continuation of the past chapters!!!

Chapter 7

Two weeks went passed since that incident. Naruto was given some simple missions, but Hinata and her team were told to stay in the village and train more to become an excellent fighting unit.

Naruto laid in bed looking out the window. He was thinking about what he should do with Hinata. I really love her? a lot, he thought to himself; which was when he thought about marriage. I have been going out with her for a while now and we are very alike, so I don?t see a problem in that, he thought. Then it donned on him. Hinata?s father. He could be a problem, Naruto thought to himself. Then he came up with a plan. He would just have to go up to him personally, explain how much Hinata meant to him and then say that he was going to marry her whether he liked it or not. That was a good plan. Naruto then made sure that he was going to do it when he woke up the next morning. Morning came and Naruto went over what he was going to say to Hiashi as he made his way to the Hyuuga manor. Naruto came up to the front door and knocked. A man answered, who Naruto thought that it was probably a relative of Hinata considering that they mainly all looked alike. The man asked, ?Yes, how can I help you?? ?Tell Hyuuga Hiashi that the Captain of the ANBU wishes to speak with him,? said Naruto. The man nodded and opened the door, ?Please come in and wait in the courtyard while I will get an answer from him.? Naruto walked into the courtyard and looked around. It?s been a while since I?ve been in here, he thought to himself. And just as he finished his thought did the man return saying, ?Hiashi will see you now, please follow me.? Naruto followed the man down hallways till he got to a meditation garden where Hiashi was sitting on a bench, peacefully. Naruto looked at Hiashi and then looked back to the man to thank him but the man had already disappeared. Naruto then turned to Hiashi and walked into the garden. Naruto stood in front of Hiashi and said, ?Mr. Hyuuga. I come to seek your approval, sir.? ?My approval, about what, Captain?,? asked Hiashi. Naruto then started his speech about how much Hinata meant to him and that he was going to marry her and that he wanted to know if that was acceptable. Hiashi, still sitting with his eyes closed in a peaceful state smiled and said, ?You are a very honorable man, Naruto. But you don?t need my acceptance to marry Hinata. I can tell that you love her very much and you proved that to me already by rescuing her.? Hiashi paused a moment and looked up at Naruto and continued, ?What I?m trying to get at here, Naruto, is that you shouldn?t worry about what I have to say, but what Hinata has to say.? Naruto got a troubled look on his face and Hiashi said, ?Don?t worry Naruto; I'm sure things will come out alright in the end.? They continued their conversation for a half an hour or so. Naruto left with a good feeling about what was going to happen next with him and Hinata. He also left with a good some of money from Hiashi to pick out a nice engagement ring. Naruto walked back to his apartment with a huge smile on his face.

Three days after Naruto talked with Hiashi, he was walking around the village. He came across his old training grounds where everything started for him and Team 7. He walked over to one of the posts that he was tied to and touched it, remembering all of the memories that went along with it. Suddenly he heard a noise and vanished into the trees. He looked down and noticed that Hinata?s team was coming to train on the grounds there. Naruto smiled and thought that this would be a good time to sneak up on Hinata. Hinata was instructing her team when suddenly she felt a presence behind her. She then heard a voice that sounded familiar say, ?Got ya?.? Except that the only problem was that Naruto didn?t get her; he got a log that was transformed into Hinata. Her team was looking amazed at what just happened; then Hinata appeared behind Naruto and said, ?Nope, I got you,? with a grin. Immediately as she said that did Naruto disappear, and he and 5 clones walk out of the woods and surrounded her. They said, ?Oh, really?? and then the Narutos broke out laughing. Hinata was looking a bit confused and embarrassed since she was in front of her team. But her team was just watching, still looking amazed. All of the Narutos disappeared except for one, who was still laughing. He came up to her and gave her a peak on the check and said, ?Hey Hinata, out here with the team?? ?Yep, I?m trying to teach them teamwork,? said Hinata. Then one of Hinata?s students said to Hinata, ?Whoa, you know the captain of the ANBU?!!? ?Yeah, he?s my boyfriend,? said Hinata. ?That?s sooo cool!!,? said the boy, ?That?s what I want to be when I grow up.? Naruto chuckled and said, ?Well, it takes a lot of training and practice, but I think you will be able to do it. After all you do have the best teacher in the village.? Hinata blushed, ?Aww Naruto.? ?Oh, Hinata that reminds me, what are you doing around 7:00 tonight?,? asked Naruto. Hinata replied, ?Nothing, why? Naruto answered, ?Good. We haven?t gone out to dinner in a while so I?ll come pick you up at your place. Okay?? Hinata smiled and said, ?Sounds great.? Another one of Hinata?s students, which happened to be a girl said, ?Aww that?s so cute.? Hinata blushed a little and watched Naruto disappeared. Then she turned around to her students and said, ?Well, back to training!!? Her students then groaned because they knew that the training that day was going to be hard.

It was mid-afternoon now and Naruto was starting to get nervous as he was picking out an engagement ring. I knew I should of done this earlier, he thought to himself. Then, he spotted a ring that caught his eye. It was the most beautiful one there in the case. The store keeper saw him looking at that one and said, ?Aaaa, you have a good eye at picking out the best rings.? Naruto smiled and scratched the back of his head saying, ?Well I?m really kind of new at this! But I really do like that one.? The shop keeper nodded and said, ?That is the pride and joy of my shop. The best one I have created in years. It?s a very special ring for a very, very special someone.? Naruto agreed to what the man said and told him that the girl he wanted to marry was the world to him. The shopkeeper smiled and told Naruto that it was half off because Naruto reminded him of himself back when he was young. Naruto paid for the ring and thank the man. As he left the shop he checked the time and noticed that it was 30 after 6. I better get going, he thought as he made his way to the Hyuuga manor to pick up Hinata.

Naruto got to Hinata?s manor about 6:50. Just in time, Naruto thought to himself as he knocked. Hiashi answered the door and smiled, ?Ah, Naruto. Hinata will be here shortly. Is tonight the night?? ?Yep,? said Naruto, ?Oh, here, let me show you the ring I picked out.? Naruto took the box out of his pocket and opened it to show Hiashi. ?That looks like a good one. Hmmm, it reminds me of the one that I picked out for my wife a long time ago,? said Hiashi as he drifted off into a memory of his past, but came back and said, ?Hey; go to that nice restaurant at the edge of the town. I know the guy who owns it and I already told them ahead of time that if you came to give you the best table in the house.? ?Where?,? asked Hinata as she walked up in one of her best outfits. Hiashi answered her by saying, ?Oh Naruto was just telling me where you two were off to.? Hiashi was trying to buy time for Naruto who was frantically trying to put the ring back into his pocket. Hinata said, poking fun at her dad, ?Come on, we?re not 12 anymore father.? Hiashi smiled because he knew what the plan was going to be this evening. He said, ?I know. Just have fun, you two.? ?We will!,? Naruto said in reply, as both he and Hinata walked towards the village.

They went to the restaurant that Hiashi told Naruto to go to and talked about all of the things that had happened in the past days. They placed their orders and got their food pretty fast. Hinata finished her food before Naruto which was odd to her. Something must be bothering him. He hardly touched his food, she thought. She was right because Naruto was too busy thinking about how he was going to propose that he actually forgot all about food at that moment. ?Naruto, what?s bothering you?,? asked Hinata. ?Oh, uh, it?s nothing Hinata. Say lets get out of here and go to our favorite spot, huh?,? replied Naruto. Hinata nodded and Naruto paid for the meal when they walked out. It was already dark outside now and a little chilly, but there was a full moon out which gave them light. Naruto and Hinata made it up to their spot and sat at the edge looking down at the village. Naruto put his arm around Hinata and brought her in closer to him. He could feel the warmth given off from her as they were sitting up there. They sat like that for what seemed hours. Then Naruto finally got up the courage to do what he was planning on doing that night. I guess now is better than never, he thought to himself and then said, ?Hinata?? ?Hm?,? replied Hinata. Naruto said, ?You know how much I love you, right?? Hinata smiled and said, ?Yes.? ?Well,? Naruto continued, ?I love you very much. And, well? uh.? ?What is it Naruto?,? asked Hinata. ?Well, after that ordeal that happened awhile ago it made me think. Hinata, I don?t want to loose you. I want to be with you forever which is why,? Naruto stopped in mid-sentence and got up from the edge of the cliff. He backed up a step and reached into his pocket while he knelt down on one knee. He continued to say, ?Which is why, I want you to marry you.? Those words. Those 6 words were echoing through out Hinata?s head. She couldn?t believe what she heard; her longtime crush who became her boyfriend now wants to marry her. Naruto said, ?So,? he opened the box which showed an exquisite diamond ring, ?Will you marry me, Hinata?? Hinata sat there, speechless. She didn?t know what to say or what to do. She began to turn slightly red and said, finally, ?Yes, Naruto, I will marry you!? and then leaped into his arms. She couldn?t believe what was happening to her at that moment which made her start to cry. Naruto was concerned, ?Hinata, why are you crying?? Hinata stopped for a second and smiled at him saying, ?Naruto, these are tears of joy. You don?t know how happy you?ve made me!? She then went on hugging him and they went back to the edge of the cliff to look at the village. No, Hinata. You don?t know how happy you?ve made me, thought Naruto.
