Chapter 3

It was morning when Hinata finally started to wake up from fainting the night before. The sunlight came in through the window above the bed which warmed up the room nicely. Hinata fidgeted. She woke up and stretched but something was different this time. She opened her eyes and looked up at the ceiling. It wasn?t the same one in her room. She then sat up and looked around. She noticed that she wasn?t inside her room, or her manor for that matter. She looked down at her clothes and noticed that she was still wearing the kimono that she wore the night before. She got up out of the bed and passed through the dividing wall that entered into the living room area. She saw Naruto still asleep on the couch with empty ramen bowls on him. One was in his hand that was over his chest and in the other hand he had chop sticks. Hinata smiled at the site that she saw. Then she wondered, Did he do anything [to me] last night? No he couldn?t of. Naruto?s a nice guy but he?s not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes down to girls. She giggled at that thought and then noticed a clock that was on a side table next to the couch. It showed 7:13 am. She had to get home because she knew that her father would have a fit if she wasn?t home. She looked around for some paper to make a note to leave for Naruto. She found some next to some pictures of Naruto and team 7. She wrote on the note saying that she was okay and that she went home. Also she put that they should get together sometime later if it was okay.

She placed the note on top of Naruto and walke towards the door. She gently opened it and carefully closed it to make sure that she didn?t wake up Naruto. She looked around; good, she thought, nobody?s around. She thought that it probably would have been hard for her to explain why she was coming out of Naruto?s dorm this early by herself. She walked over to the stairs and made her way down to the street where she then headed off for home. She was thinking to herself, How am I going to explain this one to him? She thought for a moment. I know, I can say I was at Ino?s house because she wanted to give me a makeover. That would work. She always wants to give me one! She laughed a little and picked up her pace towards her home.

Naruto sneezed. The note was placed on his face which irritated his nose. He sat up on his couch with a groan. Then he remembered what happened the night before; how he took Hinata back to his house. He got up and walked over to his bedroom to see if she was there. He noticed that she wasn?t still in his bed and started to worry. He then remembered about what woke him up, a piece of paper. He went over and picked it up. It read:

7:14 am, Naruto ? I woke up early and had to go home. Father would kill me if I didn?t go. Last night was fun! We should get together sometime very soon. Love, Hinata

Love? Oh, Naruto thought to himself, I told her last night, that?s right. Well this will make stuff interesting now. Naruto looked over at the clock which showed exactly 9:00 am. His stomach growled and Naruto thought, well I guess it wouldn?t hurt to go get some breakfast! He grabbed his jacket and walked out of his dorm thinking about him and Hinata. What?s going to happen now?, Naruto wondered. He made his way over to his favorite restaurant in the entire village. ?Good morning,? said the owner to Naruto as he walked in. ?Hey, old man,? Naruto said back in reply. ?It?s a bit early for you isn?t it?,? said the old man behind the counter handing Naruto what he always got for breakfast. ?Ehh, well I?ve got some stuff on my mind now,? Naruto said. ?Really? Care to explain?,? asked the old man. ?Well, you see, there is this girl?? and before Naruto could finish his sentence the old man behind the counter said, ?Ahhh, girl problems?? ?Well it?s really not a problem, I just don?t know what to do,? Naruto said. The old man replied, ?Well do you like her?? ?Yeah, well at least I think I do.? The old man chuckled a little at that comment. ?Well,? the old man said, ?Why don?t you ask her out on a date?? Naruto got wide eyed at that statement because he had never thought of that before. He said, ?Hey, that?s a good idea! Thanks! But what should we do for the date?? The old man thought for a second. ?Hmmm, just do something that you both would enjoy, like a nice walk or something so that you can talk to each other.? ?Okay!,? Naruto replied. The old man behind the counter smiled and handed Naruto another bowl of ramen. Naruto looked at him and the old man smiling said, ?It?s on the house.? Naruto shouted, ?Lucky!? and thanked him for it. The old man continued to smile remembering what it was like when he was kid going out on a date for the first time. Naruto always seemed like a son to him since he always came in to his joint. Naruto slurped down the last bit of ramen and paid for the bowls he ordered. He waved at the old man behind the counter who was still smiling waving back saying, ?Come back soon!?

Right when Naruto walked out of the Ramen joint, he ran into Shino and Kiba. ?Oh, hey Naruto,? said Kiba. Naruto smiled and said hey back. Shino just nodded his head in response. ?So what are you guys up to?,? asked Naruto. Kiba responded, ?Well, we were going to go do some training. Wanna come with?? ?SURE!,? Naruto exclaimed, ?But, uhh, first do you guys know where Hinata is?? ?Yeah, she told me that she was training with Kurenai today. Oh, look there they are,? said Kiba pointing over in the direction behind Naruto. Naruto turned around and saw Hinata with her sensei. ?Okay, wait here just a second guys, I?ll be right back,? Naruto said. Kiba nodded and Shino was speechless as always. Naruto ran over to Hinata and said, ?Hey Hinata can I talk to you for a sec?? Hinata and Kurenai turned around and faced Naruto. ?Umm, sure. What is it Naruto?,? asked Hinata. ?Uhhh, I don?t know really how to say this but uhh I was wondering if you wanted to go out on a date with me tonight, if you?re free that is,? asked Naruto. Hinata immediately turned red and brought her hands up to her face. He just asked me out, on a date, she thought. All that she could get out was, ?Uhh.? And then she fainted right into her sensei?s arms. ?Hinata,? they both said worryingly. Kurenai looked up at Naruto and said, ?I think that was a yes.? ?Cool,? said Naruto, ?Could you tell her that I?ll meet up with her at her house around 7:00 when she comes to?? ?I?d be glad to,? said Hinata?s sensei with a smile. Naruto said his goodbyes and ran back toward Kiba and Shino. Both Kiba and Shino were looking at him funny and suddenly Shino broke the silence, ?FINALLY!,? he said which made Kiba and Naruto step back because they weren?t expecting that. Naruto recovered by grinning and scratching the back of his head. ?Well, now that?s over with, lets go train for awhile,? said Kiba still some what shocked from Shino?s outburst.

yeah thats why I put that in there. I thought that it would be funny with Shino saying that snice he hardly talks at all but is still somewhat close to Hinata.
