Not a contest, a challenge. And it's open to more than GW, but I figured I'd post it here anyway....
For those of you who don't know (and probably don't care), my birthday is New Years' Day. So, I'm more than a bit partial to the holiday. I never get to do anything fun for my birthday, actually....
THIS YEAR, though, I want to do something fun. And not just for my berfaday, for the entire month of January. As kind of a present to all of us... So, I'm issuing a CHALLENGE, the prize is my thanks and, upon the threat of their lives, feedback from our visitors *shakes fist* POST! readers!!! :o <--me, looking at all of you
So, the challenge is, write a fic between 600-800 words long with your favorite *cough* must I say heterosexual? couple kissing for New Years. All GW (het) couples are permitted, Vash x Meryl and Wolfwood x Millie from Trigun, Inuyasha x Kigome, Van x Hitomi (Escaflowne), and last but not least, Sousuke x Chidori (Full Metal Panic). I'll also accept Alucard x Integra from Hellsing, and oh what the hell, how about Usagi and Darien from Sailor Moon (is that the right pairing? I'm not too familiar with SM, so forgive me/correct me if I'm wrong). If you have another pairing from a favorite anime you'd like me to consider, email me for permission. I may also consider yuri requests, but again please email me for permission as currently, the challenge is for het couples only.
So, to recap, 600-800 word fics (must have a word count at the top) of couples (outlined above) kissing for New Years. They can kiss at a party, they can kiss in the hot tub. There can be a lemon scene (if you can fit it in there). They can kiss when the clock strikes twelve, they can kiss at 9 o'clock PM (maybe they're going to bed early....) Kissing, New Years, word limit, and the subject line of your post must indicate that it's for the New Years' challenge.
