The Chronicles of Onishi- Chapter 5

again, I don't know if anyone is really reading this, but if you are I'll be posting about once a week from here on out. this is the chapter were things actually get interesting so...enjoy.

Chapter 5: Secrets

Kalina walked around the school and into different classes to hand out passes from the office. She liked this class because she got to see most of her friends even if it was only for a few minutes. She also liked it because she could watch everyone that she was suppose to for the army. She had her eye on everyone with power in the school. 13 in all, Kanil, Silvia, Andrew, Geled, Ben, Sakura, Triden, Gil?lead, Dan, Lanithara, Nemon, Karil, and myself. Jakiem told me to not let any of them get into trouble. Well myself I can handle, but the rest, especially Orbecka, I?m not so sure on.

She thought back to when see had entered the room and was just about to hand the teacher the pass that the presence appeared. It made her uneasy yet she could have stayed in the room to examine it. I hope that whatever that thing was it wasn?t hostile. Well, no point worrying now because I can?t do anything, but what was it doing in there.

Out of nowhere the speaker system throughout the school sounded an earsplitting scream. Along with the noise, ran a ripple of demonic energy that made the walls sway in Kalina?s vision. The screaming subsided but the room still seemed to sway. WTF, where and what the hell was that, shit. It came from the science wing.

Running in that direction another ripple shot out towards her. After it passed over her she pulled out her Glock from her shirt. The walls where changing color now and everything seemed to be melting. What the hell is happening? It didn?t take long for her answer to come because several more ripples came racing at her. This time the walls melted completely and then reformed into a cave. Other people where there as well and when she looked Kalina realized the other people where the thirteen she was sent to protect.

?Girl, put that gun away you have no use of it here.? Kalina jumped as Kanil growled at her. ?You should know better than to use a gun after travel like that.?

?What are you talking about and what do you mean by travel?? She looked at everyone else as they looked at the two talking. Kanil had a sword in his hand that was probably three foot long and the blade was a wicked looking green. Andrew was laying on the floor only slightly concise. Silva was kneeling near him trying to wake him up fully. The Twins where helping along with Sakura. Triden looked like he had been hit in the face with a cream pie. The other five consisted of three guys and two girls. Gil?lead was tall for anyone?s standards with slightly pointed ears that showed because of his lack of hair. He had an overall appearance of what most people would call a fairy tale elf. He had the same look on his face as Triden and was standing slightly to the left of Tri.

Dan was a genuine nerd with round glasses and a sharp way of standing. His small, black, beady eyes stared as if his computer had just crashed. His black hair was parted really back and he looked as if his knees would give out at any second. Next to Dan was Nemon, a girl whose ability for video games was only surpassed by her knowledge of Guitars. Her fascination carried over to her appearance as well. Her silver hair was tied back in a ponytail that let the bass guitar earrings stand out all the more. Her neon blue Gibson les paul stuck out over her shoulder at an angle for the final piece of the ensemble. Her orange eyes were taking in her surroundings and seemed to be looking for answers. Both of the two looked about to bolt at any sign of danger.

The last two, that had some how ended up whereever they where, were Karil, and Lanithara. Like Geled and Ben, Karil and Lanithara were twins but they were not identical. Lanithara, being female, had long black hair, that hung over her shoulders with almost regal beauty. Her pink eyes searched her surroundings with wonder and amazement at what had just happened. Karil looked annoyed with his black hair that just barely hung in his topaz eyes. He was looking from Kanil to Kalina.

Kalina looked back to Kanil now who was looking around the cave as if for an exit. As she watched him and waited still for an answer to her questions, Kalina looked around the cave and found that the place was covered in gems and jewels as well as precious metals. Although she hadn?t noticed it before but the light in the cave actually was coming from the jewels set into the rocks. Amazed by the view, but impatient for an answer, she asked again.

?What are you talking about and what do you mean by travel??

?Most technology like guns is made useless by traveling through the means of demonic energies. So put it away your starting to scare the rest of your friends.? His voice was still the same growl, but there was a hint of amusement in it.

After actually looking around, the rest of the group had started to look at the two that were talking. Only Silva, who was still trying to fully awake Andrew didn?t hear what was being said.

Noticing this Kanil walked to Andrew. Placed his hand on Andrew?s forehead. As if he was never asleep he?s eye bolted open and looked at Kanil. He mumbled some words about something named Fenrir in a low voice. Hearing this Kanil spoke.

?So that was what that presence was. I see why Onishi wanted me to watch over you if Fenrir has decided to reveal himself to you.?

?WAIT, you know Onishi but that would mean?? Kalina was dumbfounded. But he?s just an emo kid that had okay grades. He would have to be over a million years old to know Onishi.

?Close your mouth it?s very un becoming of you. Yes, I do know Onishi. In fact, he was the one that trained me to fight with my angelic powers. Over a hundred years ago he asked me to guard a kid named Andrew Orbecka. I?ve been watching over him until this day.?

?But I?m not a hundred years old. How could you have been watching over me for that long?? there was no hint of surprise in Andrew?s voice, as if he expected to be that old. Triden, walking around, started muttering to himself and touching the rock at certain places.

?Your caught in a loop, kid. You always go until you?re 20 and then you suddenly start over as a three year old. However something is different this time. Something that makes me believe that Onishi was right to send me after you.? The growl had left his voice and was replaced with a hopeful one.

?This is a sure change then isn?t it we?re in a cave that looks as if it has no exits. Sure is a good change.? Sarcasm littered Kalina?s voice like pigeons in the park.

Kanil?s laugh was deep and boomy, and as he released it he started to change. His cloths became a skintight black shirt and pants that had almost too much space in them for Kanil to fill them up. His overall appearance became older. He looked more in his forties than in his teens. ?No, girl, Andrew has friends this time. In this loop, it was the first time that I got to use my favorite disguise of the emo kid.?

Dan started talking in a squeaky voice that sounded really scared. ?This is impossible.? He said this over and over until Nemon told him to shut up.

?I don?t care about any of this past crap. All I care about is getting home alive. If you haven?t noticed we?re sort of trapped.? Lanithara?s voice sounded as if she hadn?t even left the school. Calm, yet, on edge, as always. She had always appeared as a sort of modern princess.

?Yes, I agree what are we going to do about this predicament?? Gil?lead, as always, sounded wise and with a certain pronouncement of his words.

?I think that we should find a way out of here and then do the talking if that?s alright with you, Andy.? Silva for the first time voiced her opinion in a somewhat scared voice.

?Well, how are we going to get ou?? Kalina never finished her sentence because Triden can running down and yelled.

?HIT THE DEC?? a whole section of wall behind him suddenly exploaded in a shower of gems and dust.

TRIDEN, WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?? Lanithara screamed so loud Kalina thought she would go deaf.

?I didn?t do anything. I was going to blow a hole in the wall to get us out of here, but when I got there I heard a time bomb already set. Soooooooooooooooo, I ran and warned you. What else did you want me to do?? His voice carried a hint of dissatisfaction for not actually blowing up the wall.

?More importantly, is if you didn?t blow up the wall, then Who did?? the growl was back in Kanil?s voice as he looked from one person to the next.

?I did. I thought you might need some help down here.? The voice was new and it wasn?t spoken. It echoed through everyone?s minds. A smell of dirt and sulphur shot around the room. The cave became silent for a while before, Andrew said the last thing Kalina expected.
