He watched his team mates sleep. I?d been four years since Orochimaru had brought them back to life. They could start over, at lest he hoped they could. His eyes strayed to a boy with black hair and a solemn expression. Sasuke, his best friend and number one rival. A girl with pink hair and a warm smile lay next to his sharing the warmth he provided. Sakura, he still loved her, but only as a sister.
There were five others with them. Hinata Hyuga, a purple haired girl with pearly white eyes, Neji Hyuga, his hair was black as his past life and his eyes as white as cousin?s, Shikamaru Nara, he was a lazy brunet with brown eyes, Tenten Meiou, a weapons mistress much like Nara only with hair pulled into two buns and Ino Yamanaka, a feisty blond with pale blue eyes. They had all become close in the past years.
Sasuke stirred and sat up, he did this often when he felt Naruto getting nervous or suicidal, ?Why are you still up?? Sasuke put his hand on Naruto?s blond head and looked into his ocean blue eyes, ?Your tired. Go to sleep, Naruto. Sakura will have your ass in the morning if she finds out you didn?t sleep for the seventh night in a row.? Naruto looked down but nodded. Sasuke smile and stood up, ?Well, if your not going to sleep we can go on a walk.? Sasuke grabbed a coat and started off.
Naruto jumped up and followed after him. After five minutes of silence Naruto had to ask, ?What do you think is gonna happen to us? I mean we look like we?re sixteen and we?re really twenty! I hate it.? Sasuke shrugged and put an arm around Naruto?s shoulders, ?We could be heading for disaster or living for greatness.? both smiled. They?d checked every village only to fined all those who knew them dead or missing. When the went Suna Tenten, Sakura and Shikamaru had lost a lover. Tenten had lost Kankuro, Sakura lost Gaara and Shikamaru lost Temari. All three were heart broken and had at one point tried to kill themselves.
Sasuke looked down at the ground. He had found both Itachi and Orochimaru dead. Naruto had found the dead bodies of Iruka, Tusuna (sp?) and Kakashi. They had lost their meaning in life, but kept on for the other. Sasuke and Naruto turned around and head back as the sun began to rise. They were greeted by a hug from Sakura, they were the only ones who still had their whole team. Shika and Ino still had each other, as did Tenten and Neji, but Hinata was by herself, she had lost more then any of them. Naruto dropped against Sasuke showing he hadn?t slept again, ?Naruto. You need to sleep.? for once it wasn?t Sakura telling him, but Tenten, ?It?s hard on us all to see you like this. I know Sakura worries her head off as does Hinata and Sasuke.? every one nodded in agreement.
Hinata looked up at Tenten waiting for her gentle nod. Sakura helped Naruto to the ground as Hinata formed the hand seals: bird, snake, dog, tiger, bird, and horse before saying, ?Amai yume no jutsue (Sweet dream no jutsue)? Naruto?s eyes fell and a soft snore passed his lips. Sasuke picked him up and the started their walk to the village hidden in the mist. As their walk continued Naruto seemed to want to wake up more and more, but the jutsue refused him.
