Photos (click to view):
The True Prodigy
Adrian Kriniet in his sniping pose in the snow, daytime (not consistent with story).
Cold Stare
Adrian Kriniet profile.
Echoes
Story-consistent shot. Adrian in the background, in full balaclava / camouflage. Looking down the sight of his sniper rifle, tracking Colonel Viscotti. Foreground photo is transluscent, showing his personal profile in front of background.

Why must it always be cliffhangers?!?!!
It's not fair. I want to know what happens next.
Kind of sad that Nadya had to loose Adrian. But I understand the reason.
Please update soon.

Sorry. I'll try to cut back on cliffhangars in the future. Thanks for the indicator.
Adrian's suicide was that of honor because he had destroyed their lives, changed them permanently, and wanted to punish himself because of it. He felt that he took the wrong path and noticed, through his sister, that there was no turning back. He knew that there was nothing to do that would fix their situation, and he knew that either way, he wasn't leaving that field alive.
That, and he apologized. He knew it probably wouldn't amount to anything even if he did, but he did so anyway. The fact that he turned his lifestyle around in his last moments was something I thought to be quite touching... because he only did it because his sister convinced him to. In other ways, he's a coward. He didn't want to face reality and join it, because he knew the real truth, so he killed himself because he couldn't convince them that they were, in his eyes, wrong.
And chapter 2-4 is actually done... I'm just trying to see if I can get it onto this damned laptop remotely from my other one... that, and I have summer school...

ughh. Yeah summer school sucks. I just done with finals, and fortunately I passed all my classes! Yay!
Anyway don't let summer school stop the writing. OK.
