Hmmmmmm. Weird chapter. Relena sure has changed. But I have to wonder if her change is just a temporary thing due to Heero's death. Maybe she will change back to the old Relena, who knows? As for the terrorist, I guess it makes sense that they were born from a oppresed people, but I can't help but wonder if there weren't other things they could have done. I really hate Sergeant Kriniet you know.
I still miss Heero.
Keep Writing.

Being with Heero is what shaped Relena into the way she was, and his death shattered that fragile form. She can't - she refuses - to go on without him. She will change, I will admit that... but into what is what you'll have to wait and see.
The terrorists couldn't have done it any other way. They couldn't get a message out to her, because obviously it would be dismissed as a ruse to dismantle peace. Think realistically: if the entire world reported true peace, and then some lonely peasant approached you in a street and told you that everyone was a slave to some other country, would you believe them? Regardless of what democracy is said to stand for, the politicians have more voice than the common men and women. This is what I'm trying to show, that the people have no voice but their "representatives" do... yet their "representatives" act on their own wants and needs. And so is the way of reality. The only way they could do it was incite war, which would expose the truth as the controlled countries could rebel.
Think even more realistically. The terrorists are good intentioned, as most think they are for their own little reasons, but they don't see the full scope. Today, if the United States went to war with Russia, what would happen? Nuclear Apocalypse. Armageddon. The world would end. The terrorists only see it from the standpoint that it would incite rebellion against the controller countries and colonies.
As for Heero's death... well, as it was said, it was the only way they could get Relena to "open her eyes". She saw peace from the Institute, while the people outside of the walls live in turmoil, much like a one-way reflective window, soundproofed. Allow me to explain what the Fist general tried to say.
Relena and the rest of the Institute were on the reflective side of the glass, and saw that reflection as true peace throughout the world. Outside, the symbol of outer space, the people could scream and yell into the soundproof glass as much as they want, but the message couldn't get through. The terrorists broke the glass, and in doing so shattered more than just the barrier... they shattered the hopes and dreams - and even some lives - of people on the other side of that glass, as the vacuum pulled them into reality and out of their fantasy world.
As Relena was informed that her so-called "peace" was a lie, she tried to ignore what was said... although she does feel in the back of her mind that he was telling the truth. The general referred to her stubbornness, which holds true somewhat here.
And so ends my lengthy explanation of events...
Comments? Questions? Suggestions? I'm here for you all.

Wow. I guess this kind of thinking is just over my head. I do enjoy reding the story, but I'm afraid I'm not one to hold hypothetical descussions regarding the direction our world will/could take.
