Edited slightly for here... I've become quite a victim of drabble at 31_days. So here, I've combined two drabbles for two different themes into one short fic that may or may not make sense. ^^;;There are days when he sits at the shoreline and watches as the sun rises pink in the sky. And then he waits for the pink hues to disappear into blues and he watches how the water changes color with the sky, reflecting it like a glass mirror.
The shallower waters are different, he notices. Instead of the same crystal blues, they color into green. He is reminded of her eyes, beautiful and achingly deep. They reveal his soul in their depths and he drowns in them again and again and again.
She waits for him before nightfall. Her eyes never change. Always a deep green and they look at him with a longing that is only matched by her patience and the kindness of her heart.
He no longer waits at the shoreline...

In his eyes, she would always be the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. In his heart, she would always be the only one who knew him better than he knew himself.
The sun could blind him, but she could restore his sight. With every lingering touch of her fingers on his skin, he felt pieces of his shattered spirit come together. Yet with every tear she shed, he would come unglued the most.
How was it possible that one smile from her could lift his burdens? How was it possible that the moment she uttered his name, he felt he was home?
Reaching up slowly, he released her sun-streaked hair from the pins that held it back, watching how her eyes never wavered and held his gaze just as steadily as he held hers.
"It's simple, Relena," Heero whispered as he slowly tucked her hair behind her ears and cupped her face in his hands, beholding her loveliness. "You're more real than anything in this world."
