The KNIGHT Before Christmas- BI's 2005 Christmas Challenge

It's finally here... The 2005 Christmas Challenge, entitled: The KNIGHT Before Christmas (or Holiday KNIGHTS).

Yes, they're both puns. Deal with it.

The theme for this year's challenge is... KNIGHTS! Yes, this theme is open to interpretation. You're not all required to put Heero in a suit of armor or anything like that. Be creative! Unless you're Wicked, and then...I dare you to NOT corrupt the challenge (and still enter).

Here are the rules....

1. Het pairings
2. Gundam Wing (but will accept other anime series pairings by request)
3. Fits theme (if you're getting creative on me, I want to see in an author's note how your fic applies to the theme).
4. Includes the following objects/things in the body of the fic: snowflake(s), a kiss (or kisses), and (at least) one of the following medieval-traditional Christmas items: wassail, yule log, or mistletoe.

Extra credit to those who want to include the following line: "The true meaning of knighthood lies not in the glory or the money but in..." (suggested by inukikyo)

Drabbles will be accepted, though I don't want to see any that are less than 300 words. I seriously doubt anyone can write a story with all of the above in less than about 700 words, but I hate to stifle creativity. So, 300 word minimum, no maximum word limit.

The challenge will run from November 19, 2005 - January 31, 2006.

You must post your entry in this forum (Challenges) between those dates in order to 'compete'.

Depending on number of entries, there will be readers' choice and mod's choice in each "category". Number of categories depend on number of submissions and number of anime series/genres represented. We will announce categories by December 3, 2005 based on feedback to this thread.

Fanart will be judged in its own category.

Specific prizes will be announced on December 3, 2005 as well. At this time, possible prizes include: gift certificates, doujinshi, and banners (by one of my banner <s>bitches</s> GURUS.

Please respond to this thread with any questions, comments, and we're specifically looking for feedback regarding what people might be entering in the challenge in order to start planning categories.
