There used to be a greying tower alone on the sea.

Heero walked down the dark empty streets one night, one name and one face seemed to circle in his mind. He shoved his hands in his pockets and lowered his head from the cold winter wind, 'Relena... why can't I get you out of my mind?' he thought, he walked into a park and leaned against a tree, "Relena..." he muttered aloud.

My eyes become large and,

Heero heard foot steps behind him, he peered to the other side of a tree and saw a the sillohette of a woman sit on the nearby bench, he leaned in closer and realized it was Relena, it had been a year since he saw her, she had grown so much in that time, 'Beautiful' he thought to himself, and for once his other half agreed with him, he smirked and approached her.

Relena heard someone coming closer, she sprung up and whirled around to see who was there, she person stepped into the light. "Heero?" she said in a strangled and surprised voice.

"Long time no see..." he answered, she smiled at him, he could feel his wall crumble and his heart melt, he returned the smile and stepped closer to her.

"Heero... you're here... you're back! Why did you leave?" Relena asked him, saddness creeping to her face and a single drop of a tear falling down her cheeks, Heero smiled and wiped the tear away.

"Relena... I'm sorry I left, I was figuring out my life, I was figuring out my emotions..." he said softly, he smirked when she visibly relaxed and smiled at him.

"What have you found in your searches?" Relena asked, smiling warmly. Heero half grinned and came so close to her she could feel his hot breath on her cheeks.

"I found that I can't stay away from you..." he said sincerely, her eyes widened and her eyes searched his, he smirked and drew her into a warm hug, she tensed but then relaxed and melt into his inviting embrace.

The snow began falling and the two felt it's soft caress on their cheeks, Relena looked up at the sky and laughed happily.

Heero couldn't help but laugh with her, he didn't know why he was laughing but it just felt right to, he squeezed her tight and spun her around in his arms, twirling her and grinning happily, it was so good to see her again!

Heero set her down and stared into her eyes, "You've changed..." said Relena and smiled at him happily, he smirked and nodded

"Being away from war and violance and only being able to think can have that effect on someone..." he said, she hugged him back and pulled away to look in his eyes.

Heero smiled and leaned into her, she froze, 'What is he doing?' she thought but her thoughts were silenced when she felt his warm lips against hers. Heero thought she didn't want to kiss him and began to pull away but stopped when he felt her kiss him back.

Heero grinned into the kiss and leaned into her, making her hang back, Relena yelped and he took the oppertunity to deepen the kiss while holding her to him so she wouldn't fall.

Heero pulled back and looked into her eyes, she was flushed and her lips were bruised, he smirked and grabbed her hands, gently caressing her soft skin, "Relena..." he started.

"Hm?" she answered, still dazed and stunned by the most amazing kiss she ever had.

"I.. love you... I have for a long time, it's just taken me a while to realize..." he said soflty, Relena stood their in stunned silence.

Heero began to get worried, he felt a sharp pain in his chest when she didn't acknowledge, his smile dropped and he began to turn saying he was sorry, he felt her gently pull his arm, he looked back at her and saw her lips curl into a wide smiled, he smiled back and she threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly and laughing joyfully, he grinned and returned the hug.

Relena felt Heero rock them back and forth, slowly it became a waltz, he took lead and twirled her around, then brought her back to him, she smiled brightly and he smirked.

The snow stopped falling but a lot of it still clung to their hair. Heero shook his head violantly, spraying the snow all over the place, Relena burst into giggles and softly grabbed ahold of his cheeks so he would stop moving, she smirked and ran her fingers through his messy hair, he smiled contently and did the same for her, brushing the white substance out of her beautiful hair.

Heero smirked and Relena yelped when he picked her up bridal style and spun her around, "Mission accepted" he said and laughed, Relena held onto him tightly and laughed with him.

Heero set her down and grabbed her hand, he pulled her close and began walking down the path in the park, for once in his life he was truely happy... and it was with her.

Relena leaned her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes, letting him lead her where ever he wanted to go, "Relena?" he asked quietly, she looked up to his eyes

"Yeah?" she replied and smiled when he smiled, before these strange emotions he was feeling would have scared him sensless... but now it was different, he loved her and he was sick of running from her, he smiled softly, making up his mind.

"Marry me?" he asked almost shyly, Relena widened her eyes as he pulled out a velvet red box and held out a beautifull gold and silver ring.

"Yes!!" she cried happily, Heero turned and hugged her tight again, she laughed and cried into his chest and he rocked them again.

"I wonder what your brother will think... Mrs Relena Yuy..." he smirked "Sounds nice" he said and smiled thoughtfully, Relena grinned and giggled

"You know what, for once, I don't care what people think about what's happening in my life, if he doesn't like it, tough" she said, Heero chuckled and pulled her closer,

"That's my girl" he muttered in her hair, she giggled and listened to his steady heart beat

'Relena Yuy...' she smiled at the name, she loved it, but not as much as she loved him.

"I love you" he said, Relena smiled in his coat

"And I you, forever and always" she said warmly as she snuggled closer to his chest

"Forever and always" he repeated, kissing the top of her head.
