Incurable Dreams
This fic will be controversial in the views of some but I do not write it to cause arguments, I write it because I want people to use up Kleenex.
The pairing is 1zR (duh) and, as you have gathered, it is a Kleenexy fic and I stringly advise you to keep some by your side. Because I am crying right now and I haven?t even started it yet. ^^;;
I do not own the characters or the program of the heaven that is Gundam Wing though am a loyal follower.
Summary: Relena had a dream and Heero fulfils it for her. (All I can say without completely giving it away).
She lay there with her eyes half closed and a soft tear forming behind their lids. He was truly wonderful. To stay by her side all night when she knew she was fine.
He strokes her hair while placing phantom kisses on her forehead and she smiled slightly. He was just wonderful.
The nurse cam in through the door, trying to be as quiet as possible as to not disturb the two lovers.
?Mr. Yuy? she whispered. ?The doctor has news. He would like to see you outside.?
He knew what was coming. He didn?t want to have to let her believe it just yet, if at all, but he knew it all along.
He took a lingering stare at her beautiful ceramic face as his parting kiss to her motionless lips quivered.
He made hisway to follow the nurse out of the white doors and sat down on the industrial brown plastic chair on the other side. Sitting on the one next to him was Relena?s doctor. He truly hated the man right now. He was a good man and he knew it, but right now he only saw an urge to kill him where he sat.
The doctor took a deep quivering breath as he prepared himself for the worst part of his job.
?Mr. Yuy. The situation is not good. Although we can usually restore one?s blood after having lost it at such a magnificent rate Relena is?she?s not making blood for herself any more.?
Heero just stared, letting the words flow into his ears yet only the first few hitting home. ?not good??
?When she was found we examined her and found?a foetus inside her. Were you sexually active prior to date??
Heero gave an incoherent nod and he tried effortlessly to soak in what he was saying.
?This means, that no matter how much blood we restore, the baby will just take it as soon as we put it in and we can only put it in at a very slow rate given her condition.#
Heero?s throat closed up and he could feel a tightness in his skull as he pressured himself not to cry. He wouldn?t let them have the satisfaction?
?In short, I?m afraid there is just no way of restoring blood to your girlfreind?s body. I?m so very sorry.?
The doctor himself had already shed a tear. Relena was a patient of his since birth?
Heero just sat there motionless, as if still trying to make meaning of what the man beside him had said. There was only one thing to do?.
?We had a child??
He walked, as if barely alive, back through the white doors and resumed his place beside her. She turned her head weakly and smiled at him.
?I told you it would be ok, didn?t I?? She whispered. Her voice was no more than a ghost?
Heero forced himself to smile. ?Yeah. You?re always right. I should know that by now.?
She let out a small chuckle. It broke his heart.
?Ouch. That hurt?? Her eyes crewed up at the pain shooting through her sides.
?She?ll be in pain for her last hours??
?Do you want me to get another pillow??
Relena beamed at him and shook her head. ?No, it?s ok. I shouldn?t have tried to move so much.?
He would never walk into her office again. Never elope with her at lunch times to places only they knew existed.
She wouldn?t be there in the mornings cooking him pancakes. Wouldn?t be moaning when he got back home at 3 in the morning. She?d just?stop existing.
?Heero. After this, I?I don?t think I want to be a politician any more. I want a family. Life?its just too short.?
He wouldn?t let her down?
He placed a hand on her forehead, feeling the soft skin beneath his fingers for the las time.
?Tell me what you want, koi.? He whispered, trying desperately to keep it from failing.
Relena closed her eye and dreamed.
?I want us to go away. To a place where nobody knows me. I think the countryside would be nice. The city is just too noisy even after living there all your life.?
Heero kissed her cheek and whispered into her ear ?Try to see it??
?There would be bright summers days when we could just sit there on the grass. I love grass. It smells so nice. And?I dunno. It?s like an itchy blanket. I want to have time to drink tea in the mornings, instead of expresso. We could grow it, you know? And make our own tea.?
Heero let a tear fall onto the white pillow beneath him. He struggled to breathe.
?And we?ll have children. I?d like 4. Two of each. So neither gets lonely. But they?ll never have to be because we?ll always be there. I missed out on that when I was younger??
Heero could barely whisper ?Can you see it??
Relena nodded weakly and he reached to turn of her machine.
?Yes. I can? He turned the switch as if it was the hardest thing in the world.
?Then lets go there right now. Let?s elope.?
?I can see it Heero??
?W?want some tea??
Relena went limp and a shadow of her final word filled the room.
?Yes please??
That night, Relena Darlian?s dream came true.
My face is covered with tears right now. I?m sorry. Please R and R.

Just watch me! I'll become the God of Death once again! But right now......I need some sleep.

This was such a perfectly written fic, the emotions the writer is supposed to convey were beautifully transmited to us! I loved the way Relena appears in her last moments, she is sweet and optimistic, and Heero is there for her all the way. I couldn't have pictured it any different than you peach!!
luv it!

That was amazing, one of the most beautifully written fics I have read as of yet. And damn it, I have run out of tissues. Keep writing, I love how you portrayed Relena, and Heero. You truly hace their personalities down to a tee and are one of the few who can make them into what you beleive them to be. This story... simply amazing.
I'm surprised, Heero. You really turn up in the most unexpected places. -- Duo
