Chapter Four ? Too Far
Where the silence is comfort,
Where there is no one else,
Where I?ll be up from under and can uncurl myself

Too many, too much, too hard
Help me, this time I went too far

Can I smash all of this open?
Can I pass the hurt with a little pain?
I wanna see all of it crumble
And start afresh and over again

My eyes are wide open,
But I can hardly see,
Will laughter find a way around all these silent tears?

Moving through the trees, eerily silent, leaping from branch to branch with expert balance and ease, a broad, tall figure dressed in furs and dark leather armor observed the dark wisps of quickly rising smoke from the grounds beneath him. He had been on the move ever since the female had been taken into hiding. His clansmen eagerly wished to join him, but he had kept them at bay, giving strict orders to watch the women and take the remainder of the clan into hiding if need be. He also left orders to the defensemen that a fight was only to be fought if started by the opposing party.

Injured and bleeding on everything, her scent had left a unique trail for days; easy to track. Until the hazardous rains from the south washed out everything, including the gory mess left behind from the battle that had forced the group underground in fear for their lives.

The floods had risen past the level of normal for the season. Villages that had been left in ruin and plague, littered with half-rotting corpses were washed through clean. The bodies of hundreds of simple farm folk making a living among the rice fields and crops lay tangled in overturned tree roots and debris near the Forest of Inuyasha. No matter how much water washed through the spacious fields, the well was still in ruins, the walls caved in long ago.

Naraku was still searching desperately for the entrance to the underground tunnels. He was growing more and more furious with each passing minute. The priestess was nowhere to be found. He didn?t care for her life; as long as he had the four remaining Shards along with her corpse, then he would be satisfied. And would finally make his wish.

Pale blue eyes shifted to dark silver with a simple sideways head tilt.

?So that?s how you want to play, you bastard. All right, let?s play,? the demon murmured to himself. His words were drowned out, the hordes? rampage deafening. He had paused on the branch he had landed, crouching to his hunches to peer down at the crowds thundering through the forest below.

He narrowed his eyes a moment in thought. Instinctively his upper lip curled and he growled low in his throat, fangs bared and glistening in the moonlight. He didn?t need to turn around to know who was behind him. ?As punctual as ever.?

Sesshomaru ignored the barb, his eyes dark beneath the moonlight as they surveyed what was going on. ?They?ve let their guard down.?

Kouga side-glanced despite the fact that Sesshomaru wasn?t in his line of sight. ?We can take them. We?ve taken down worse then just a few groups of dumb demons led by that fool.?

?You had better watch your words, underestimating Naraku will only lead to your death. Not his.?

Kouga snorted in disgust, turning his eyes back to the ground. He wrinkled his nose at the smoke lifting up to the branches where they stood. Gradually he straightened on the trembling branch, a hand resting on the hilt of his weapon at his left hip. ?He?s onto them. He has only one more place to look and he?ll find them. If I know that half-breed brother of yours, he?ll take them straight to where Naraku is looking.?

?The elder priestess has passed. All hope remains within the young reincarnation.?

?You mean Kagome?? Kouga turned to fully face his temporary ally. ?Naraku can?t harm her. He wouldn?t dare.?

Without looking at him, Sesshomaru murmured thoughtfully, ?He already has.?

?What the hell are you talking about? The dog wouldn?t let any harm come to her.?

?That doesn?t matter. What matters is that Naraku has plans for the priestess and he intends to see through with them.? The tall demon swept out an arm at his side, white and red sleeves rippling in the nights? breeze. He made a gesture to the hordes. ?They were summoned to find her. And even now they seek her out. They won?t rest until her corpse is returned to their master. Naraku wants Inuyasha dead. The remaining humans that my foolish brother calls ?friends? could rot for all Naraku cared. All he wants is the girl, and Inuyasha?s death. That is all.?

?I knew I should?ve killed him when I had the chance,? Kouga muttered, clenching a hand at his side into a tight fist. Sighing heavily, he looked out towards the south. ?The rains have passed through the lands. The Forest of Inuyasha lies in ruins. Naraku won?t find them there.?

?That was the first place he looked.?

Kouga looked over to him, his expression solemn, and his eyes hard. ?He will pass through the Western Lands, Sesshomaru.?

Sesshomaru met his hard look with one of his own. ?He wouldn?t dare. The armies have been called upon to defend the four Gates. Jakken is within the Temple. He won?t fail me, nor will the Western armies. They won?t defy their master.?

?How can you be so sure? Maybe it?s you who underestimates Naraku.?

In a massive blur of white and red, and with a savage snarl, Sesshomaru leapt forward. Kouga went to jump back out of the way the moment he saw the flash of blood-red in his eyes, but was immediately caught up as extended claws dug through the front of his armor, yanking him back forward again. Kouga was taken aback by the sudden change in the demon before him. Was this so serious that it had the Great Lord of the Western Lands spooked? What was Sesshomaru so afraid of? What did he think Naraku was capable of doing once Kagome was under his full control?

Fangs were bared, golden eyes gleaming dangerously. Sesshomaru kept his face expressionless, his eyes only betraying the fury he felt inside.

?Perhaps you underestimate me. To die a death by my hand is nothing compared to that of Naraku. I suggest you pay heed to what you say; you fool, lest you wish to die now instead of later.? Sesshomaru tightened his grip, his nails breaking through the skin on Kouga?s chest. The sickening scent of blood entered the air around them; the two demons glared at each other, both silent.

Kouga kept still, captive within the grasp on his armor.

?We agreed upon meeting this night to save the life of the priestess,? Sesshomaru went on, never taking his eyes away. ?If you want to see her alive and breathing within the next few days, I suggest you start learning to collaborate. Once she dies, our lands die with her, as do we. She is what makes us live, she is what makes us breathe; have you been as blind as that to even realize it?

?Once Naraku enters her upon the moment of her death, there will be no stopping her?them. Regardless of the fact that she?s injured beyond being able to properly move on her own, her powers are just as strong??

?How do you know all of this?? Kouga interjected quickly. Sesshomaru ignored him. It made Kouga struggle to break free, his hands lifting to clutch at the wrist to the hand holding him.

?Naraku longs to capture that power and utilize it with his own. If the prophecy comes true tonight, there is no telling how fast he?ll strike and predominantly whom he?ll attack next. You and I both know how strong he is. He will stop at nothing until he has what is rightfully his.?

Kouga paused in his efforts to free himself and, breathing heavily, snarled, ?Kagome was never his.?

?But Kikyou was,? Sesshomaru retorted, fed up with this behavior. It was no wonder his brother abhorred this particular demon. He released Kouga with a slight shove back and leaned back into the tree trunk, a hand on the hilt of Tensaiga.

Kouga furrowed his brow at those words, his face growing thoughtful. The masses continued to storm from underneath, the trees around them all shaking from the steady footfalls. Their agility was graceful, both undisturbed by the movements below, while the ground continued to quake in fear.

Looking out towards the west, Sesshomaru sighed to himself. ?We don?t have much time. It is said that the priestess is to not live the night.?

Kouga swallowed heavily, torn by his thoughts, by what was going to pass. ?There?s nothing we can do; there has to be! She can?t just die! Damn it, she?s everything to this world...?

?Which is why the prophecy came true the day she was pulled through the well and stumbled upon my brother pinned to the tree,? Sesshomaru replied in a soft murmur, looking out still with a thoughtful expression. He sucked in a sharp breath unexpectedly, his eyes widening in the realization that struck him blind. Kouga watched him closely, somewhat cautious of the shocked look clouding the golden eyes of his companion.

?What is it???

Sesshomaru couldn?t help but sneer. ?I know what needs to be done.? Uncharacteristically, the tall demon swore out loud, his tone violently low. His grip tightened on Tensaiga?s hilt. ?Something needs to be done now.?

?What the hell are you muttering about?? Kouga folded his arms over his chest.

?There?s no time.? Sesshomaru leaned away from the tree trunk, moving towards him. ?I am heading back to the Temple. Naraku will seek them at the village in the north. You are to head there. Cut him off, do whatever you must to stop him from reaching that village. One of the humans that run with my brother and the priestess, her brother was abducted when their village was left to burn and the folk residing there were slaughtered.

?Naraku uses him now as his main hunter. No soul is attached to the corpse. The child is merely a shell, a puppet. That is how Naraku plays, and that is how Kagome will be once he gets his hands on her. I warn you now, that child might be at the lead of this horde sent out to that specific village. If need be, I will prepare an army for you??

Kouga held up a hand, cutting him off. ?That won?t be necessary. The men of my clan are eager to see Naraku dead. I will gather them and head to the village.?

Sesshomaru nodded once, glancing around briefly before preparing to leave. ?You still carry two of the Shards.?

?Not anymore.? Kouga shook his head. ?One of Naraku?s pesky minions managed to knick one of them off.?

?Then one remains in your care.?

Kouga nodded.

?Good. Keep it that way. We may need that remaining Shard.?

Jakken rushed back into the Temple, crying out in fear of what his Lord would do if he found out what had just occured. ?This isn?t good! What are we going to do?? His little legs carried him great distance, the staff gripped high above his head.

A young girl peeked out into the hall to see the little green demon running towards her. She slid the door wider for him to go through, but he went past her, still worrying out loud. ?What?s wrong?? she called out to him. To her dismay, he kept running and disappeared around the corner.

As she was about to step out into the hallway and follow him, Jakken?s head peeked back around the corner. Breathing heavily, he paused, leaning into the wall. ?Get back into the Temple, you foolish girl! Can?t you ever do as you?re told?? Jakken waved his staff at her angrily.

Rin frowned. ?But what?s going on? Why is the Temple all in a panic? Is Lord Sesshomaru all right?? She stepped out into the hall completely, her hands smoothing down the skirts of her pale pink and white kimono.

Jakken huffed and headed towards her. Rin smiled faintly at the sound of his staff echoing off the walls and the railings below the mesh screens that made up the outer walls of the hallway deck. ?Lord Sesshomaru is out on an important mission, Rin. He left me in charge and instructed me to keep you within the Temple at all times.?

?But what could go wrong? The Temple?s protected, the spells were formed around the walls to keep the demons out! We?re safe here, Jakken.?

?Blast it all, woman! Will you never listen? Why must you be so na?ve?? Jakken moved forward, trying to push her back into the Temple. The sliding door had been left open and some of the servants were peering out at them curiously, eager to hear what was going on.

Regardless of them already knowing exactly what was going on, they wanted to be kept up to date on the matters at hand so that they could keep the Temple in a proper array for when their Lord returned. Rin fought him, sidestepping around his small body and even trying to pry his little fingers from her skirts when he attempted feebly to tug her back into the Temple.

?My Lord will be most displeased if any harm came to you. Rin, please, get back into the Temp?? He began to beg her, feeling a sense of impending doom on its way.

And it was answered when a young servant woman came skidding around the corner, crashing into the mesh screen. She would?ve gone right through had the railing not been there. Blood was pouring down the side of her face, the gash at her hairline fresh. One eye was swollen shut; more blood caked to the wound. Her neck was scratched, as were her legs and arms. The plain white clothe kimonos were knee-length, ideal for when a servant was instructed to scrub the mahogany floorboards of the outer decks.

Rin screamed out her name. The young woman was her own personal servant, she took care of the girl always, saw to her needs. She was her friend, almost like a sister and mother all in one. Rin shoved past Jakken, racing towards her, intent on going to her aid. Her legs tangled up in her kimono skirts and she gave a strangled sob of frustration, reaching down, as she struggled to run, to tear at them, ripping a long gap up the front and side.

There was no time for the woman to scream out for them to run and hide. The explosion seemed to come out of nowhere. From beneath the deck, the floorboards broke apart in a forward rush of excess power from the blast, almost like a large worm was traveling below the soil. Servants screamed, scrambling back into the room. They had all come out onto the deck to see who the other servant in distress was.

The servant girl was propelled through the air. Rin was knocked back from the force of the explosion, flying over past Jakken, tumbling backwards until coming to a halt in an unmoving heap at the far end of the hall. The servant landed on her, dead, spilling blood onto the young girl?s clothes and skin.

Jakken whirled, searching for Rin.

Another explosion tore through the side of the Temple.

Broken wood and stone was catapulted through the air in every direction, tearing through the screens. A wild howl entered the air. Jakken only had time to whirl around in search of where the sound came from before he, too, was hurled through the air. The grip on the staff was lost. The ceiling flew over his head, then the ground, and then the wall.

Bodies, he saw many bodies littering the deck.

Deafening detonations came from every direction. The moment he hit the ground, only to bounce off, he was thrown through the air again, another explosion blasting off from beneath him. Fresh air was a hard slap in the face as he landed in the courtyards. He landed hard on the cobblestone path, rolling swiftly through the gardens until coming to a hard stop against the side of a fountain. Through hooded eyes, blurred with tears from the pain coursing through his battered body, he saw the flames licking through the top of the Temple, and then the demons clambering down from over the Court walls in large groups.

His eyes rolled back into his head as the numbing darkness took hold of him..

?It?s gone out,? the monk whispered, trembling at the sight of death in his friend. ?The light?s gone out??

?No shit!? Inuyasha snarled over his shoulder, grabbing up the girl by her upper arms. He shook her roughly. ?Wake up. Damn it, Kagome, wake up!?

?Inuyasha,? Sango shouted, ?stop! Please, you?re not going to bring her back like that.?

?She?s not gone, I won?t believe it. She?s alive?she?s alive!? Inuyasha shook her again, his breathing hitching as he felt a panic start in his chest. His eyes started to sting from the unshed tears. ?Wake up,? he whispered, his voice breaking. ?Come back, Kagome. You can?t go, not yet. Come back, please. Wake up??

Kagome was limp in his harsh, frantic grip. Her head lolled back and forth like a rag doll having lost her stuffing. The Shards within the glass vial clinked faintly, triggering a memory?

?I don?t need these anymore.? He tugged uselessly at the beads around his neck. They gave a low whine, glowing lightly. With each tug and each failed attempt to just pull them off, the glow and whine intensified. ?Take them off. Give them back to the old hag.?

?They?re on you for a reason, Inuyasha,? a young female chirped happily. Her usual attire was misplaced for a black slim tank top and a pair of red jogging shorts, white strips running up the sides, while his was still the same, minus the red robes tucked into his pants. He was dressed in only his pants and undershirt, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows.

?I still don?t see why I need these.?

The girl stopped walking and turned to look at him. He looked adorable, she thought, amused by the pout on his face. ?They?re for my own protection, try to understand.?

?Then you wear them!? The hanyou huffed at her, annoyed.

?No, I don?t need to wear them. You do.?

?Why??

?They?re to protect me from you.?

Inuyasha let his grip relax on the necklace. He gazed at her a moment, silent in his observation. Kagome smiled to herself, watching him watch her. Overhead a bird chirped softly. One velvet ear twitched at the sound, flattened, and straightened. The heavily leafed branches shading them away from the harsh glaring rays of the sun shifted, the wind breezing through them.

?Come here,? he murmured, still watching her.

?Why??

Inuyasha started to walk towards her slowly, hands still on the necklace. Kagome bit her bottom lip, head tilting to the side. She stood still even as he came right up to her. His eyes were soft, holding a faint look of affection in the golden depths. Taking his hands off the beads, he brought them to her shoulders, slowly trailing them up the sides of her neck. His fingers were gentle, his touch arousing sensations deep in her belly the moment claws touched the sensitive skin below her earlobes. She felt his fingers caress the underside of her jaw, tracing out the strong bone.

?You don?t need protection from me, you know I?d never hurt you.?

She ducked her head, not wanting him to see the blush on her cheeks. ?I know.?

?Then ? why?? Inuyasha tilted his head, watching her. After a moment when she didn?t reply, he leaned down, pressing his lips to the top of her head, closing his eyes. His arms circled around her shoulders, and he embraced her into him.

Kagome went willingly, burying her face into his chest. ?Do you really want them off?? she whispered, her fingers tightening on the front of his white shirt. When he didn?t answer, she continued with a trembling voice, ?It?s going to sound silly, but you have to listen to me, please. The beads are not only to keep your temper in check. There?s something Kaede and I didn?t tell you?although I didn?t find out till quite a while later myself??

?Tell me.?

?The moment they were created, and from the moment they came in contact with the Shards, they interlinked. You couldn?t sense it, you couldn?t see it. We didn?t know until later.? She had pulled away, taking herself out of the circle of his arms. Now she stood off to the side, her arms hugged to her chest.

?What are you trying to tell me?? Inuyasha growled threateningly, eyes narrowed.

?Don?t be like that,? Kagome replied in a hard tone. ?There?s no need to take that tone with me; your life isn?t in danger while you wear the beads.?

?And what about yours??

?What about mine? Mine what??

?Your life!? Inuyasha exploded abruptly. ?Don?t take it so lightly; you?re always taking your life for granted, Kagome.?

Kagome blinked, taken aback by his words. ?Excuse me,? she stammered, taking a step away. ?I really hope you?re joking.?

?And if I?m not??

?That ? that?s ridiculous! You should take a look at yourself before opening your mouth to shout off crap like that.?

?Don?t go and scold me like I?m some child, Kagome.?

?Then don?t go and say something as careless as that,
Inu-ya-sha.? She had stressed out his name on purpose, emphasizing her anger. ?I seriously cannot believe you.? She waved a hand absently in his direction. ?That is exactly why I haven?t removed the beads yet. Congratulations, you just answered your own questions.?

He was suddenly shouting at her. ?I don?t understand what you?re trying to tell me!?

?Stop
SHOUTING at me!?

?NO!?

?WHY are you SHOUTING??

He didn?t answer her. In a long streaked blur of white and red, he was on her in an instant, his lips bruising hers fiercely. Kagome sobbed into his mouth, the soft cry muffled beneath his lips. Her fingers thread through his hair, tugging hard, holding him to her. She clung to him as he clung to her, holding her tight and close. The embrace lasted a long while, and once it ended both came apart panting for breath, their cheeks flushed, lips trembling, swollen, and wet.

?I?m sorry I shouted at you. I just ? don?t understand. There?s no reason to keep the beads on me anymore, Kagome.? Inuyasha leaned down, pressing his forehead to hers, closing his eyes. Kagome smoothed back the white strands, untangling his hair from her fingers.

Reaching his hands down, he lifted her up, arms under her rear as a seat. Kagome hugged her legs to his hips, her hands clutching his biceps. She could feel the muscle beneath her fingers. She knew of the power he was capable, of how dangerous he truly was. At times it frightened her, but she loved him for who he really was. She loved the beast dwelling deep inside, waiting to be released. She loved everything about him, even his stubborn, cocky side whenever they fought against the demons constantly plaguing their lives.

?The beads, Inuyasha, since they?re interlinked with the Shards, life can be transferred. Take a soul from a dying body. With a single thought, that soul can enter an empty shell.?

?But???

?But that empty shell can only be empty for a certain amount of minutes. The Tree of Ages, take that for instance.?

Inuyasha furrowed his brow in thought. ?What do you mean? What the hell does that have to do with this?? It was a touchy subject and she understood that, but in order for him to fully comprehend what she was getting at, she had to use this as a good example.

?It?s an example. Listen, please.? Kagome placed a finger to his lips, silencing off any further arguments. ?The Tree of Ages, you and I could communicate through it, we still can. We spoke, we touched. It was real and it happened. It wasn?t a dream. There?s a time limit to it, however, and that?s exactly how it is with the beads.

?With the beads ? we can?well, technically we can do the same??

?The beads,? Inuyasha whispered absently, coming out his thoughts. Miroku looked at him sharply, his brows knit together. Sango looked between the two, confused.

?What beads? Inuyasha, what beads?? Miroku glanced from his stunned expression to his neck. He sucked in a sharp breath. ?You can?t mean the prayer beads??

?The beads?? Inuyasha released Kagome, letting her sit slumped against the wall as he patted himself down, pawing at his throat and shoulders, trying to find them.

?This is mad, Inuyasha!? Miroku burst out, staring at him as if he had gone crazy. ?The prayer beads were destroyed! Kagome removed them from you years ago.?

?I know!?

?Then what are you talking about??

?Damn it! They have to be here somewhere.? Inuyasha shifted, trying to find them, frantic in his search. He only had another few minutes, if not seconds. His hands entered pockets, tore at the fabric of his pants. ?There!? He pulled out a single small shard of black ivory, a white streak cutting through the center of the ebony stone.

Sango and Miroku watched the hanyou as he tried to work the cork out of the glass container. They still thought he had lost his mind. Shippou and Kirara came up slowly, Shippou clutching a tuff of Kirara?s fur on the side of her belly. Their steps were cautious. The moment the cork was removed, Inuyasha shoved the black shard in with the remaining Shards. He struggled to replace the cork, gritting his teeth. In the process his hand brushed across her throat. Her skin was cold. It had lost the warmth it had always possessed. Inuyasha bit back the moan of disbelief.

Kagome?s body shuddered briefly, the lashes resting on pallid cheeks fluttered momentarily.

There was no light emitting from the Shards.

?Why isn?t it working?? Inuyasha demanded, his eyes wide and staring intently on the Shards. He seemed to think that if he wished it hard enough, glared at it long enough, that the Shards would breathe back life into the young female.

Sango had her hands pressed to her mouth, tears spilling silently from the corners of her eyes. Miroku kept his lips tightly pressed together as he continued to watch in silence, not taking his eyes off of unmoving girl.

?Why isn?t she waking up?? he asked out loud, looking and feeling suddenly lost. Dark circles hung beneath his eyes, going in contrast with the pallor of his skin. He seemed to shrink back into himself.

Miroku looked over to him. Slowly he stood, moving to where Sango was and knelt down, taking her gently under the elbows. He lifted her up, his own tears then falling off his lashes as she threw herself into him, clutching her arms around him, her face pressed into his chest. He moved her to the far side of the room, seating himself in the corner, holding her in his lap as she cried.

Inuyasha was oblivious to them. He tried to will her awake, begging her continuously in his mind for her to open her eyes or to just take a deep breath in. His hands began to tremble. As the realization struck him that she wasn?t going to awaken, that what she had said had been a lie and hadn?t worked as she suggested it might, his breathing began to quicken. He scrambled forward, pulling her away from the wall and into his arms. The distraught hanyou curled up into the corner, rocking back and forth, holding her close, wrapped in his embrace. He didn?t want to cry, but he was helpless to pushing past the burning sensation in his eyes.

The tears were uncontrollable. The inevitable had finally happened.

He was powerless to have stopped it in the first place. And to think he could stop anything that threatened his life and those close to him?

I'm not a Kylie Minogue fan at all. :) I just liked a specific song, a remix of it, and used it as my inspiration to this chapter. Glad you liked it, though!

You craft wonderfully woven stories carefully told from many points of view. The secrets your stories hold are amazing. Being able to read and trying to discern the place from which they come from and how they will affect the story keep me in constant wonder. I can't wait for the next chapter of this unbelievable story!

Do you ever watch the show "Lost"? If so, you know how even as every episode leaves one breadcrumb on the trail of secrets, it only wets our appetite for the supply littered further down the trail? If not, do you care about this comparison? You should, 'cause it's a damn good show!

Almost as thrilling, shocking, well-paced and addictive as this story has turned out to be.

I. Can't. Believe. What. Is. Happening. Here.

Ho. Ly. C. RAP.

That lead weight in the pit of my stomach that normally accompanies the end of each "Lost" episode is a full-blown hernia now. I can't believe the turn of events. I can't believe how apocalyptic this has become. First, based on Sesshoumaru and Kouga's conversation, Kagome can't be definitively dead yet. I'm assuming, since Sesshoumaru had a sudden revelation while holding tenseiga that he may try to use it on Kagome, but then why would he be returning to the temple? How is he going to react to the destruction there? Oh Sesshy...prepare yourself. And Kouga....oh crap, KOUGA...is he going to find Kagome dead? Is he even going to find them at all???

What a fic, Leia, what. a. fic. Inuyasha's reaction is nothing short of a brilliant, horrifying character portrait. You have him pegged. Combined with Miroku and Sango's emotional collapse, that scene was probably one of the most heart-wretching vignettes of drama I've ever read. Sheer, maddening tragedy.

I. Love. This. Fic. Leia, you've outdone yourself, and I pretty much thought that was impossible.

I have seen the series LOST. I got everyone in my family obsessed with it. Once I started working evening shifts, I lost time to watch the episodes, and instead of me sitting down eagerly for the next installment, it was my family. Including my brother and my dad. Sister and stepmother, too, got obsessed with it. xD

LOST was my all-time favorite TV series, and it still is. My boyfriend hasn't seen Inuyasha yet, but he's read some of my stuff, seen a few pictures here and there. While I was hanging out with a family friend a few weeks ago, my boyfriend went to the anime store called Ir-Ben and saw a Newtype USA magazine with Inuyasha and Kagome on the cover.

He bought it for me simply because of the image. xD ...and because it had the words FullMetal (Panic) on the front and he mistakened Panic for Alchemist... hehehehehe, he knows of my obsession with FMA and Edward. <333

I, myself, was quite surprised that Kouga turned out to be in this story, AND talking to Sesshy on top of that. Also the scene with Rin and Jakken ... didn't think it would happen, honestly. I'm glad you enjoyed Inuyasha's angst!

Now if only Chapter FIVE would come to me NOW, while I'm on my days off, then I'd be able to post more lovingly angst for your hungry little eyes and lips. *chin stroke* <333333333333

Dear lord you have just put me in a depression. A good one though as this fic really draws me in. I wonder what might Sesshy be up to and if Rin and Jakken are still alive. And...and...KAgome!! *snifffle* you brought Inuyasha to tears.
