2xR drabble

Tick-tock, tick-tock.

The second hand on the clock keeps moving as I wait for him to appear. He comes to my office at precisely 12 noon with his reports.

Every time he comes here, I try to distract him and get him to flirt with me. Every time I fail.

Damn men.

He still thinks I'm in love with Heero and he won't cross his best friend's territory. Well, I'm sorry but I want you Duo Maxwell.

He won't get pass the fact that I'm over Heero plus sometimes I think he thinks of me as the fifteen year old I once was.

I smooth the front of the skirt of my suit as I wait for him. The hour hand hits 12 and he promptly comes in. His braid swings as he closes the door. I smile at him and I can tell he's affected by his quick gulp. "Everything fine, Relena," Duo asks.

"Oh, everything's fine. Just fine except for a I need a date to Friday's Ministry ball," I reply, keeping the smirk out of my voice.

"Couldn't you go with Heero," Duo retorts, his eyes swelling with a bit of panic.

I sweetly say, "I could, but I want you, Duo. Say that you would do this for me," giving him my best damsel-in-distress look.

He sighs and says yes. I got him on the hook, now how am I going to reel him in?

I take it this had a 'to be continued...' at the end but you just forgot, right? I mean, you can't REALLY leave it there?

I liked it, Kendra. It's was a bit tad short, and left me craving more, but I liked Relena's forward attitude and her desire/determination to go get what she wants. I'd love to see how Heero would react.

How cute is this?!?!?! I agree with Andrea, I'd love to read more, but even if this is meant to stay a little snippet, it's too precious and very light and uplifting. Great job!
