Title: Sleeping Beauty

A.N: I came up with this when I re-saw the episode when Kikyou comes back to life, by Urasue?s hands. And I thought to myself?I wonder what she felt when her and Inuyasha were killed that day.
Sleeping a darkened sleep she waits. Never knowing when she will be resurrected from her bloody grave. Tainted with malice that was stained by the one man she loved. Cared for only one in the same she blames put her here.
Claws shredding the meat that sits on her shoulder as her mind races on to what just took place. Her mind trembles with the thought of being betrayed and tricked by love.
Had the fates truly hated her? To bring her down into a pile of blood and tears, she truly felt betrayed by everything living.
Silent tears pass her paled face as the old ones fade away. Pain is placed by more pain. Her body slowly writhes away to nothing more than a pile of ash.
Fire surrounding her, she slowly drowns into a pit of cries. Quietness lets the sobs never reach another?s ears. Her lips quiver one more word. The name of her lover comes from her swollen throat.
Her eyes close, her lips shut; her mind no longer sane, only her heart still beats?for the one man she still loves, even if he was the one who killed the soul she now feels emptiness for.
The man she loved will go without saying; she can never forget that man. His eyes still burn into her cold dead ones.
He still loves her. He will always love her. She had and remains with his heart. She can never be forgotten. For she will remain in his heart for eternity.
Pile of bones last no more than the flesh that lives upon it. Her words, her voice, her sweet kiss, will never be forgotten. They have been stained on his lips; will ring in his ears of her voice vibrating; that voice?the voice of the forgotten.
Sleeping in the depths of hell she waits for him to come. Come to her rescue by joining her with his love and hatred for her. She will not be forgotten. She is the sleeping beauty that lays dormant in his heart.
She can never be forgotten.
She is his heart.

Wow.
Very stream-of-consciousness. I felt like I was walking through a rotunda gallery, experiencing an art collection from start to finish. The first paintings were images that evoke fragmented thoughts - your deliberate, mesmerizing words - setting the tone and describing the action. The middle segment delved into the mind and heart of the woman receiving the brunt of the action, and through one transitional piece, to the heart of her beloved and betrayer, to know his side of the story. I could see your words as painted triptics on the walls, the vivid but sparse imagery verbose even though the actual sentences were few. The emotion was overwhelming, and the effortless way you integrated the title into your prose was nothing short of genious (that skill is, in my opinion, the mark of a gifted author).
Absolutely brilliant work.

P.S. You seem a fan of the InuyashaxKikyo pairing. Do you have any other fiction of them anywhere on here or another site? After seeing the episode of Kagome and Kikyo trapped in the demon cave...thing...I see Kikyo in a completely different light. While I've always seen her as a tragic character, my sympathy has evolved into a deeper empathy. I'd like to see more fiction of her with this realization of spirit.
