Chapter Seven: Frustrating Abstinence
Heero Yuy was not a happy man. Far from it to be exact.
He sat in his room, the curtains drawn shut so that the chamber reflected his displeasure. One might say that he was moping. And that unfortunate person would have been shot in a second. Besides, it wasn?t moping if he had legitimate reason for his brooding, which he did.
He was suffering from the lack of sex.
That was the source of his problem, along with a certain blond temptress. It was one of her conditions. She believed that if they abstained from sex, there would be a level of detachment to their relationship. If her damned cousin happened to find her in his home (an event that Heero found exceedingly improbable) Heero could be absolved from Paul?s wrath. When he pointed out that Paul would probably try to kill him just for harboring her, she pulled out an ancient weapon that brought men to their knees.
Tears.
He killed my brother, Heero. He killed Milliardo and I couldn?t stop him. Her clear blue eyes twinkled with unshed tears, the worst of their kind. A lethal, potent combination of frailty and bravery. He could refuse her nothing at that point.
That fact, however, did not prevent Heero from wallowing in his dark mood. She slept in separate quarters. Another one of her conditions. She did not want the temptation he presented too close while she slept. Stubborn woman.
A soft knock came from his door.
?Enter.?
A mousy servant girl opened the door. ?Sir, Master Barton is here to see you,? she said, then may have seen something in his face to add quickly, ?I can tell his grace that you are indisposed at the moment.?
?No.? If he sent him away, Trowa would probably find a way to give him hell about it. ?Inform Barton that I?ll be out in a minute.?
The servant gave a curtsy then left.

Trowa?s eyes widened upon taking in Heero?s ruffled appearance as he rose to greet his friend from the chair in the drawing room. The shocked expression irked Heero to no end.
?What?? he barked.
Trowa?s hands came up, palms out, in a no-harm gesture. ?Good morning.?
Heero nearly snarled at the cheerful voice. ?No witty comments, Trowa? No you-look-like-shit-Heero? No inquires as to the princess? well being??
Trowa?s grin was smooth and easy, a hint of practiced confusion played at the edges. ?I?m afraid I?ve lost you.?
?Bullshit.? Heero took the seat opposite from his friend, gave an impatient hand gesture to the servant pouring liquor in a two glasses. He needed to vent his frustration. Trowa was steadily earning his way to becoming a means of doing so. ?Don?t insult my intelligence. You and the others set this up.?
Trowa gracefully accepted the glass of wine. ?Set what up?? Humor laced his tone. When Heero decline to rise to the bait, he shrugged. ?Hey, don?t blame me, alright. Personally, I wanted to tell you, but was persuaded that it would be more entertaining this way.?
A glare was directed at his friend. ?You all gave her to me, knowing that she was in danger. She could have died for your entertainment.?
Trowa waved the words away. ?We knew you could take care of her.?
?It was foolish and reckless,? Heero replied curtly. ?Jeopardizing her life-?
?We were confident of your capabilities in this matter,? Trowa said interceded. ?Why are you so bent out of shape over this??
?Her cousin could have gotten to her because I wasn?t informed-?
?When was the last time someone infiltrated your home without your knowledge Heero?? His green eyes narrowed a fraction. ?Are you in love with Relena Peacecraft??
A split second hesitation. ?Don?t be ridiculous,? he scoffed. Heero got up from his chair, paced.
Trowa?s cool voice trailed after him. ?My, my,? he mused, ?how the mighty have fallen.? He was silently laughing. ?I didn?t think I?d live to see the day that the heartless Perfect Soldier Heero Yuy would fall for a woman. A princess at that.?
?Are you enjoying yourself, Barton??
?Oh, immensely, have no doubt. Are you going to deny loving her again??
?You aren?t here to delve into my love life,? he said, turning back to Trowa. ?So why have you come??
Trowa?s mocking smile was back in place once more, but he seemed content to let the issue drop. ?I actually do have a purpose for this visit. I have some useful information regarding the princess.?
?And what might that be??
?Her brother isn?t dead.?
Heero stilled. ?How is that possible??
?Apparently, Milliardo Peacecraft is very cunning. He learned of his cousin?s plan to be rid of him and used Paul?s scheme to stage his own death. But the heir is very much alive. He is safe and presently working with us to capture Paul.?
?Does he know where Relena is??
?Are you wary of her brother barging in on the two of you? Have no fear. All he knows of her whereabouts is that she is harbored with one of our best.?
?Heero??
Whatever little tension that had evaporated in his conversation with Trowa immediately rushed back with spiteful vengeance at the sound of that soft voice. He turned to see Relena staring at Trowa uncertainly. ?Relena, meet Trowa Barton, a friend of mine.?
Trowa arose from his chair, crossed the room to accept her hand. ?We?ve met before.? He kissed her hand.
Heero scowled when Trowa allowed his lips to linger on Relena?s hand.
?Oh yes. The auction house. I must thank you again. You and your friends truly saved me.?
Trowa smiled, the epitome of a charming gentleman. ?The pleasure was all mine, my lady.?
My lady? Heero silently cursed. ?Barton was just leaving, Relena. Let us not keep him.?
Trowa arched a brow. ?It seems Heero doesn?t want me here,? he said to Relena as if Heero weren?t there. He gave her a grin. ?Never let it be said that I can not take a hint. Good day, Relena. It was a pleasure meeting you again. Good-bye, Heero. I?ll see my way out.?
?You were rude to him, Heero,? Relena commented when Trowa had left.
?I am sure he won?t dwell on it.? He ignored the disapproval in her eyes. One arm stole around her petite waist and before she could open her mouth to protest, he?d already had her seated his lap.
She shook her head, struggling to rise but was deterred by the iron grip he had on her. ?Heero.?
?Stop squirming.? He held her firmly. ?All of your wiggling isn?t helping matters?
She stilled, a question hovering momentarily in her eyes before realization took over. Experimentally, she pressed back cautiously and found him deliciously hard.
His arm tightened around her waist, once, as a warning. ?Do not do that unless you mean to follow through.?
?We can?t.?
?So you say.? His free hand trailed up the curve of her hip. As expected, she shivered in yearning. ?You want it as much as I do. Look, darling, your body trembles for my touch, for release. Are you to deny me that pleasure of sating you?? His words became a whisper of breath at her ear. ?Are you to deny me the pleasure of sinking my hard cock into you? The pleasure of ramming myself so deep in you that I touch that spot inside of you that makes you pass out in orgasm??
?This isn?t fair, Heero,? she protested, though her voice told him that she had no desire to stop him. In fact she was staring rather fixedly at his lips.
He was heartened at her distraction. Good. ?Very well then.? He made a show of leaning back, putting his hands in the air then resting them on the armrests of the chair. ?I will not touch you.?
?What?? She blinked once, so far immersed in his spell that she couldn?t comprehend his words.
?Your conditions, angel, were that we aren?t to have sex. I would be taking an unfair advantage of you and your weakness if I seduced you.?
She frowned. ?Weakness?? she inquired in a sharp tone.
?Why, I would have thought it obvious. Your inflamed libido.?
?Yours is just as enflamed as my own.? She twisted around in his lap to face him. Her thighs lay astride his.
His lips curled in a small smirk that he knew would infuriate her. ?I am afraid, angel, that you are mistaken. My sexual appetite is reigned in by my superior control. Control that you seem to lack.?
Her frown deepened and her blue eyes flashed with angry sparks. ?Control? You claim control? If memory serves correctly, was it not you who wouldn?t let me dress because you wanted to keep me naked and ready for you??
He didn?t respond.
She looked close to hitting him. The compulsion to do so was too strong. She got up from his lap and glare at him. ?We shall see who does not have control.? She turned on him with an angry swish of her skirts.
Heero smiled at her back. It seemed that sex wouldn?t be withheld for long.
