Quiet, undisturbed.
No one

notices.
Until I see her.
Yes, it is her.
I can see her,
breathe her,
feel her.
But she goes.
Will she come-
return to me?

They say.
But do they know?
Do they really know?
How can one
understand
The complexity
Of her soul?
I cannot.
I will repeat:

She walks forever
With or without me.
She is strong
Going to immortality.
She left last night,
To go to places...unseen.
I will follow,
sooner or later.
I think this will help.
But the blood.
The blood I made bleed.
Will it fade?
Let me go to her?
I hope so.
Damnation hurts.
I've felt it before.
Before her.
Yes, I know.
I cannot be certain.
But just beyond those clouds.
I see her cotton dress.
It is her.
But the ground.
It rushes to meet me.
How hard and cruel.
To separate lovers.

Tender and sweet.
I loved her.
And I can only hope
She loved me.

worth it.
