Description: The GW gang goes to an amusement park. Many couples.
Slightly out of character, LOL. Have some laughs! This fic is also posted or soon to be posted on Aishiteru and also Fanfiction.net.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Gundam wing. I do however own the story line and plot.
Special thanks to: Greetz Angel222, whom so nicely saved my butt! And just so happened to be one of the few people to reply to my question. So, this one’s for you!
Off to the Amusement Park

It had been a year since the end of the cold wars. Just as Relena had promised to accomplish, she spread peace throughout earth and the colonies. The ex-pilots had long since put up away their war raging past and embraced the rising future, each with their new passion for life.
With the visit of the young foreign minister, colony L1 decided to hold a carnival, in remembrance of the war and in hope that many years of peace would continue to follow…and so our story begins…
The giggling cries of children on the merry go round mused slightly with the voices of the hustle and bustle from the passers by. A carnival was every child’s dream world and young MarieMaya couldn’t deny the rush of emotion that floated through her as she silently sniffed the air, inhaling the smells that surrounded her.
Sounds floated through her mind as her eyes remained closed, embracing the smell, sound, and feel of the carnival. Children were laughing, the screaming from the riders of a nearby roller coaster could also be heard nearby. The roaring of tigers, the loud trumpeting of elephants, all along with the soft gentle voice of Lady Une who called to her.
“MarieMaya? Are you listening?” Lady Une asked upon noticing the girl’s peculiar actions.
MarieMaya’s eyes fluttered open and she laughed nervously. “Sorry, it’s just been so long since I’ve been to a carnival.” She raised her arms to wrap around herself in a protective embrace. “ I just wanted to breath it all in! Put all that I experience in the back of my mind, so that when I finally go to another carnival… I’ll be able to relive every aspect of it. Just like I am now!”
Lady Une smiled. “Have you seen a ride that you like, so far?”
Marie Maya giggled lightly. “I want to go on that ride!” She cupped her hands over her mouth as she tried to quiet her bubbling laughter.
Lady Une raised an eyebrow. “This is strange, especially coming from you.” She placed a hand lightly on the girl’s head and ruffled the tuffs of short hair. “I thought you would like the older rides.”
MarieMaya smiled. “Well, I spent most of my childhood acting like an adult and I wasted a lot of important, valuable, time and I’m going to start making up for it right now!”
Lady Une felt a kind of tenderness that only the innocence that MarieMaya possessed, could make her feel. “Ok. Lets ride the flying elephants.”
They walked together slowly, but two voices called at them from afar. “Une! MarieMaya!” Sally yelled as she and Wufei made their way toward them. “Hey, which ride are you two riding now? We’ll go with you.”
Lady Une looked at them uneasily. “Well, we were planning on riding that one.”
“Wow!” Sally’s eyes grew wide. “That’s so da bomb! Lets go!” She grabbed one of Wufei’s and Une’s hands, (Une) whose other hand grabbed one of MarieMaya’s hands, dragging them all forward.
They stood in the line and it wasn’t long before it began to separate into two individual lines. Wufei got pushed farther and farther away from the three women and decided that maybe it was a good thing; since he wouldn’t have to listen to their yapping and besides they were riding the same ride so after his ride he would just meet up with them later.
The line was moving again and Wufei was happy that soon his turn would come. He was just about to be next in line when one of the operators’s pulled him aside.
“What do you mean, I’m too tall to ride this?” Wufei snarled at the ride operator.
“I’m sorry sir, but you’re just to big to ride the flying elephants. Don’t you think that you’re a little to old to ride it anyway?”
“NO!” Wufei yelled. “No one is ever to old to ride the flying elephants!”
The operator was dumbfounded. “Well, I’m sorry sir, but you’re just too tall and while I’m in charge of operating this ride, you won’t be riding it.”
“This is Injustice!” Wufei marched off, determined to find another ride.

“Hilde, isn’t this the greatest!” Duo asked as they got in one of the roller coaster cars, fastening their seatbelts and holding onto the handlebars.
“Yeah, this is supposed to be the best ride, right?” Hilde grinned as she reached for his hand to hold as they readied themselves for the rush that they had so craved for.
“Oh, Hilde! Duo!” Noin called from one of the two seats behind them. “Wow, what a coincidence running into you two!” She smiled lightly.
Hilde returned her smile. “Hey guys, why’d you two chose this ride? Was it because of how fast everyone says it is?”
“Oh, no, no, no…” Noin let out a nervous laugh and Zechs eyed her cautiously. “Zechs and I decided that we should try and be adventurous for a while. This ride is supposed to reduce stress…at least that’s what I heard…” she raised a finger to her chin in mock remembrance.
Her thoughts were cut off as the coaster slowly began to move forward with a sudden jolt. “Oh it looks like the ride’s going to start now. Lets all enjoy it, ok?” Noin then grabbed onto the handlebars and Zechs didn’t say anything as he did the same.
The screams of the other riders drowned out the cries of the four friends as the car turned this way and that, constantly jolting up and down with every loopty loop and every short and sudden turn.
It ended just as fast as it began, the smiling occupants of the ride slowly got out of the coaster car, allowing their feet to get their bearings as they all discussed their opinions and experiences of the ride while walking toward the exit that was pointed out to them by the one of the guides.
“Wasn’t that cool?” Noin yelled to Hilde as they walked next to each other.
“Sure was!” Hilde let out a similar yell. “Do you want to go again?”
Noin nodded hastily. “Of course I do!” They then turned to face the two ex-pilots who did not seem to be following them.
Duo and Zechs were found standing on wobbly feet next to a trashcan. Their faces appeared to be ghostly pale with a sickly tint of green. “Duo what’s wrong?” Hilde ran to him petting his braid.
“I…I don’t think I should of eaten all that popcorn and hotdogs…” a hand quickly came to his mouth as his eyes widened largely. He quickly turned around and made a series of noises that are better not repeated.
Zechs, who was completely green now, did the same and the two woman shrugged absentmindedly as Noin whispered quietly. “You’d think that mobile suit pilots would be able to ride a roller coaster without getting sick.”
“Yeah…but they were trained to pilot mobile suits, not roller coasters…” Hilde whispered back, leaving Noin to nod in agreement.

Catherine and Trowa had been watching a sort of talent performance show. You had to admit the singers were really good. Catherine had been especially interested in a certain performer.
If you were to ask her who she thought would win, she’d tell you he was her number one candidate.
‘He’s so hot!’ she thought as she rested her chin on her crossed arms, starring at him dreamily, entranced in the lyrics of his song.
“Cathy, you want a hotdog?” Trowa asked, interrupting her thoughts.
“Huh? What-oh yeah, sure.” She snapped back to reality and her eyes quickly lost their glazed over dreamy look.
“What?” She looked up at his questioning face sheepishly, trying to hide the expression that had been on her face earlier.
“Nothing.” Trowa muttered, giving her an annoyed look. He shot a glare at the singer, who then looked uneasy for the rest of the night. No one was going to get with his sister any time soon.
Especially right in front of him.

Dorothy peered over the prizes at one of the carnival’s many booths, “Oh wow! That’s a little Molly Doll!” Her cold blue eyes warmed slightly.
“Quatre, do you remember these things?” She pulled on his arm lightly to get his attention. “They were so popular when I was little! I thought that the factory that made them had closed, it’s so rare to see them still in stock!”
Quatre smiled. “Should I win one for you?”
“Really? You’d do that?” Dorothy was ecstatic.
Quatre handed the two-dollar fee to the manager of the booth. “Yes, one game please.”
The manager took the money and handed Quatre one of the guns. “Ok, kid,” the old man began from under his huge spectacles His chubby cheeks exposing rosy dimples as he smiled. “Hit the target three times and you get to pick out a prize.”
Quatre nodded curtly and smiled, this was going to be easy.
The target, which was suspended on a rope that dropped at a flip of a switch, wasn’t one of those circle targets that he had expected; instead, it was in the shape of rabbit.
“A…bunny…” Quatre felt his fingers grow numb and he dropped the gun to his side and reached over and grabbed the manager by his collar. “What the hell, are you thinking of killing an innocent bunny?”
Dorothy sweat dropped as she hovered to his side waving her hands in an attempt to calm him down. “Quatre relax! It’s just a cardboard bunny!”
This only enraged him further. “This is a kid’s game! Are you trying to get little kids to go take guns and go shooting poor defenseless baby rabbits?!”
Frustrated, Dorothy decided that she had had enough. She picked up the discarded gun, aimed, and fired.
She hit the target once.
Twice.
Three times.
A siren went off and she skipped around happily. Dorothy picked out the doll she had been admiring, screaming at the top of her lungs. “ I won! I won!” Suddenly remembering her companion, she turned around to face him. “Quatre! Lookie at what I got!”
“Quatre?”
“Quatre?!”
“QUATRE!”
By this time, Quatre had fainted, all the while, occasionally muttering. “The poor bunnies…”

“So, where do you want to go now?” Heero asked as he handed the honey blonde girl beside him the bag of cotton candy that she had been craving since they had arrived.
Relena took it from him eagerly and she began to munch away, getting some of the sticky candy on her lips. Heero found this particularly tempting.
Relena had a look of deep thought as she tugged the coat he had let her borrow for the night, tighter around her. Her legs were irritated from the few long strands of grass that slowly brushed against them as they walked by. She hastily stopped and Heero, confused, turned and looked to where she focused her gaze.
He felt a gulp rise in his throat as she chose the ride that he had feared she would. “That one!” she had chosen the tunnel of love.
Of all the things, why the tunnel of love?
Heero felt himself give a sigh of resignation. There was no point in arguing with her, she could be as stubborn as ever when she really wanted something and it was very rare for her to give up once she made a decision.
He felt the words “Ok…” slip through his lips when he caught sight of the sad, large, puppy dog eyes that looked up at him pleadingly and allowed her to pull him by the hand toward the tunnel of love.
The operators of the tunnel let out a few giggles and snickers as they watched Relena take Heero’s arm in hers. She clung to him affectionately and Heero had to admit that even though it was a bit embarrassing, he wasn’t all too unhappy about her closeness to him.
They stepped into the swan like boat, Relena let go of the hand that she had had a death grip on and let the excitement show on her face. Her eyes widened as the ride began and she looked around at the dimming lights and the colorful grottos of the tunnel.
She hummed in tune of the melody that played on a loud speaker nearby and let a hand drag carelessly across the water’s surface.
Heero stared at her out of the corner of his eye. Relena’s eyes sparkled with the lights and a golden glow spread across her face.
She looked so beautiful.
He moved a hand out toward her and motioned to put it around her. The hand startled her and she turned around to face him, but the hand that still remained on the other side of the boat caused her to loose her balance as she began to fall with the boats tipping motions. Heero grabbed her arm, so as to steady her, but it only added to the weight that soon caused the swan boat to flip over.
“Heero *gasp* help *gasp* me!” Relena was in a panic and she reached her hand pleadingly up to him.
“Relena…the water’s only 3 feet deep.” Heero said in an annoyed tone as he took her hand and pulled her up to him.
“Oh…” she said as she was brought to her feet. Indeed it was only 3 feet deep and she blushed, embarrassed, as she shifted around in the just slightly above waist water. “I…I’m sorry.” Relena said as she helped him flip the swan back right side up and allowed him to help her back in, but the strange thing was, he never let go of her hand.
Relena felt a tingling feeling go through her body. Her eyes looked from his hand holding hers, then back to his own eyes questioningly. “Um…Heero…what are you-?”
His cold, eager wet lips silenced her own as they brushed lightly against hers. They were cautious and meek at first, but grew bold when she invited him to deepen the kiss, parting her own lips slightly. This was not how she had expected the ride to go, but she was openly happy to be with the one she loved. The two stayed in their embrace, as they were lulled into their own little world that came with the dim lights and shinning props.
Even though the ride lasted 15 minutes, it was a small eternity to the ones who were in each other’s arms.

AN: How did I do on this one? HMM…? Well, if you like it please tell me, so I can continue to write fanfics for all of you. I really haven’t been getting much feedback lately, and I think that if I did, my muse would talk to me a lot more. Yes, EDS has a muse…the muse lives in her head and has refused to talk to or give EDS any ideas till people tell EDS what they think of her fics, which really bites. I’ve enjoyed my writing and I think that I’ve gotten more detailed and insightful with my words *has flipped thru her previous fics*…so please review!!!!!
Love,
Egg Drop Soup
Coming soon: If enough people email me reviews… Fallen Angels, a Quatre and Relena fic…hehe…

I enjoyed all parts, but the one with Heero and Relena made me feel mushy!
Mi like it! Me like it very much!
Miss Muse, please give EDS new ideas! She's really good writer, so don't torture her with writer's block!
Good job EDS!
Though I'm sure as hell that I don't like alternative pairings (this 4xR I mean). Sorry, it's only my preferations!
