How it feels to live (Poem)

The child in me died long ago
only glimpse of it?s happiness show
that it was once there.

My heart is still in here
bleeding for the betrayal
the loss of everything I once believed in.

I do not remember how it feels
to laugh just out of joy
the embrace of a mother.

I don?t watch the clouds come over me anymore
Somehow I lost faith
in al the beauty surrounding me.

The world looks so much colder now
and the tears I press back
taste bitter in the flame of my last hope.

Time does not heal
forgiving is not possible in my heart
for it is not earned.

I just want to enjoy the sun
on a cold wintermorning
the soft summerbreeze

I want to remember how it feels
to have a whole and close family
I want to remember how it feels to live

That was deep. I liked it and, I should listen to my own advice but, it can only get better.

That was a really great poem! I love your rythm you've got there, subtle yet intense. Keep fighting the good fight.
Of course i'm out of my mind, it's dark and scary in there.
