Midnight Comfort
Originally this was a fic for the new year's challenge. I did a little revising (okay not much) and decided to post here.
Midnight Comfort

Disclaimer: I don?t own G/W. I only wish I could own Heero... or Trowa...
It was December 31. But it was just another day to Heero Yuy. He stayed alone in the heart of the woods, avoiding everything that he could. From his home in the treetops, he had a wonderful view of the lake.
On the eastern horizon, the soft glow of orange-white lights signaled a city alive and well. In the heart of the city, lay the Peacecraft Mansion, where Relena Dorlian was surely throwing her New Year?s Eve Party. She had been the one to capture his heart and read his feelings. It had scared him so, that for the last five years he had hidden himself from all things.
No one knew he was here, and he knew not the locations of his old companions. Heero shrugged, none of it was any concern any more. He turned his head in lazy interest as the crunch of leaves was heard.
He couldn?t make anything out in the blackness surrounding him. But he concluded it must be a female as the footsteps were soft but not hidden. He leaned back into the branches, listening softly for any clue as to who she might be.
One...Two...Three...Four...Five...Six...Seven...Eight...Nine...Ten...Eleven.
The large clock in the city tolled the hour. The time he felt most comfortable in was to arrive soon, and for that he was grateful.
He leapt down from the tree, barely making a sound. The woman had approached the lake and Heero was going to see if the pale crescent moon and the dim stars would cause light to shine on her face so he might have a clue as to the visitor.
As he approached, she turned. He couldn?t see her face, but somehow could make out two blue eyes as soft and beautiful as twin aquamarines. He paused, not wanting to be detected.
She turned back, and Heero heard the faint sounds of rippling water. For one reason or another, he just stayed there, listening to the tranquil calm she had brought to his haven of deadly silence.
One...Two...
He heard the clock begin to strike midnight. He hadn?t been aware he had stood there for so long. He took a step forward.
Three...Four...
She turned, now her eyes leading him to her.
Five...Six...
And suddenly, she was there, placing her mouth to his in a delightful kiss.
Seven...Eight...
Heat spread throughout his body. Her tongue teasing his mouth.
Nine...Ten...
He closed his eyes, letting pleasure spread through him.
Eleven...Twelve...
The kiss lasted until the last echos of midnight faded. ?Happy new year, Heero.? a soft voice whispered as the warmth she had generated faded.
?Relena,? Heero stated with a husky voice.
Then he pulled her back into a kiss with more passion and desire than he ever had given before. He placed one hand into her hair, pulling her closer. So much for being alone the rest of his life.
They paused for a breath, Heero resting his forhead to hers. Her eyes still glowed. They were like a beacon to his lost soul. He had come home. He was safe. And no matter what, she would always lead him back to her.
?Happy New Year, Relena.?
A new day had come, this time with promise. This day wasn?t like the others, this one held hope. With her by his side, the darkness he had once inhibited ebbed out, leaving only the glowing warmth of her eyes.
?I love you, Heero,? he heard her try.
?I love you, too, Relena.?
Midnight had always been comforting, but when she was there, it was a time when he would no longer hide. He could be Heero Yuy, the man who had fallen in love with the Vice Foriegn Minister. This time he was not scared, this time she had given him the promise of always being there.
He captured her lips in one final kiss, allowing everything he felt to be portrayed in that kiss. He still might not express every feeling, but he wanted her to know he would never lie to her. Now a relationship could occur, now he could be free.

... oh my..... *melt into a puddle of goo* .... yeah....
For its brevity, that was an incredibly sweet fanfic.
And I can't say anymore for fear of ruining the mood.
Besides.
I can't even move my legs anymore.
Because I'm a puddle of goo.
