Hi everyone, longtime reader, first time poster=^.^= I've been lurking on this site during it's various permutations and I love it. I write primarily 1xR, HitomixVan, that's all at the moment, I also write Sailormoon fiction, but it's been a very long time. Uhm, I can't really think of anything else I can say to introduce myself, other than I'm 19 and a classical vocal music performance major about to start my 2 1/2 oif college^.^

so yeah, i hope that wasn't too inane, and i really look forward to posting my work on this site. thanks for reading and putting up with this rather banal post, i've been overworking myself^.^ it's hard to find time to write between my shifts at the medical testing lab and the hospital, but that's when you just make time for it =^.^=

BI is the best, the most comprehensive place for 1xR stories and stuff. =^.^ = I'm the president of PETP, People for the Ethical Treatment of Pixels, hee hee! I have no French blood, i'm pretty much all Scottish, but there's nothing like the Romance languages to sooth the soul. actually, this fall i start Italian^.^

Oh... I understand... heehee... romantic languages... they sure don't make it sound romantic here, in Quebec. *laughs*

But just in case (I know this is random, but) you can can say aux ?tats-Unis. 'Aux' is the mix of '?' and 'le'... But I disgress *BONKS head* It's SUMMER! SUMMER SUMMER SUMMER! Forget about French, you dummy!!!!! It's just the fact that I really like French as a language, and honestly, for someone who speaks English more than French, you speak better than some residents of Quebec I know... Incompetent ignorant fools...

Totally agree
I know a lil tiny bit of Italian. learned it for 3 months in grade 7.

Do you live in Scottland? It's just that my Drama teacher went over there for a holiday and she brought back photos. Scottland's very beautiful :D

Canadian French is so hard to understand^.^ I went to french camp when I was 13, one of those total immersion things. we couldn't have english books or music with english lyrics. all the counselors spoke in french and we did too. it was hardocore^.^ on of the counselor was from Quebec, listening to him talk gave me such a headache, lol. he wouldn't slow down and teased us when we asked him to. nice guy, but totally unintelligable

Hello there! I'm Andrea, and welcome to BI! It's great that you're so interested in Romance languages... I can speak French, but for the life of me, I can't write it. It's in vain. It's like a caveman trying to figure out a computer. I swear...

Is your singing in Italian? At least, that's how it originally started, now they've sort of translated all the plays into English, French, etc...

ANYWAY, I'm sure you'll have fun around here, and yes, this is the best site for heterosexual fics centered on any cannon, and non-cannon couples in GW... and other animes.

Ah, yes. But it really depends what area in Quebec he was from. Quebec is the largest Canadian province, and depending on where they came from... I live in Montreal, and understanding someone from Quebec city is slightly difficult for me too.

The only thing I find sad is that, although francophones strive to protect their language, they also borrow so many english words (more the french than the quebecers... they say parking, we say stationnement, ya know...) that it's kinda becoming what Quebecers call 'franglais', or 'Frenglish'.

But I love my language anyway. Yes, I am born francophone...

Ah, this is YOUR intro, so what am I talking about???? :-P
