The Pain within part 8
"Were the hell is she?" The gray hared man asked.
"I don't know sir, I've looked all over the damned place." His assistant replied, nearly panicking under the man's gaze.
"Did you just swear at me?" The Doctor asked dangerously.
"N...No sir." The younger man replied.
The Doctor sighed and looked at the screen, demanding to find his subject VERY fast.
"She has to be there, she could not have just disappeared."
"Actually Doctor, we don't know that for sure."
Dr. Lotus reached out and hit his assistants head. The young man winced in pain and shut up.
"When did we see her last?" He asked impatiently.
"Wait just a minute sir." His assistant said. The young man turned and vigorously started typing. A high beeping sound stopped the young man's attack on the keyboard. "Exactly 90 minutes ago sir. Wright before she went hunting."
The Doctor slowly nodded his head. "We have lost her before when she went hunting. Keep me informed. If she is not found within the hour I want a full-blown search party understand?!
"Understood sir!" His assistant said before turning around and start typing once more.
*****On a private yet*******
He had been dreaming about her. Her honey blonde hair dancing in the wind, her beautiful blue orbs gazing lovingly at him. He had reached out for her and pulled her in his tight embrace. "Relena."
"Hmph." Was his reply.
Heero frowned in his sleep, that was not the reply he had expected.
Against his will he opened his eyes slowly.
What he found he did not like.
Instead of his love in his arms he found none other then Duo Maxwell, who looked close to choking. "Hmph!" The cry came more urgent now, and Duo started slapping his arms.
Heero released the poor man from his death grip. "Man you nearly killed me!" Duo said coughing and taking deep breaths.
"What do you want Duo?" Heero said in an icy tone.
Duo grinned, the Cheshire cat looked pathetic in comparison to Duo.
Heero slightly raised his eyebrow. Duo was definitely up to something.
The braided man seated himself in front of Heero, only showing his head above the seat. His grin grew wider while he confronted Heero with what was on his mind. "You dreamt of Relena!" He nearly spat out.
Heero shrugged. "I did not."
"YES YOU DID!" Duo said now flat out laughing.
"You are avoiding my question Duo. What. Do. You. Want?" Heero glared at the former Deathscythe pilot and gave him his best monotone voice.
Duo visibly paled, Heero was most definitely serious as hell.
"Euhm, O yeah. We're about to touch down." Duo said before turning and running back to the cockpit.
Heero relaxed his tense muscles and stared out the window.
The Victoria Falls captured his vision, they were beautiful. Water danced from it's top. A white cloud forming at it's bottom.
Heero trailed the falls with his eyes, he was amazed that he could not even see the end. Heero could hardly describe the beauty of such a miracle. Beautifull said to little. He would define her as stunning.
Heero sat back in his seat and sighed as the plane started it descent.
*****On planet Enterra*****
"Would you please stop following me?!" Relena shouted without looking back.
The Dragon winced at her tone, but kept walking. "No." He said grinning from cheek to cheek.
Relena took a deep breath before turning around. Her face was set on destruction, and pure rage. She let all her anger flow with the breath she was releasing. Pity on the one it was directed to.
"Now you hear this. I do not need your help! I rescued you and healed you but that does not give you the right to follow me around like a puppy! I have been through Hell these past few days and I will NOT let a stupid ignorant dragon get in my way!" She inhaled deeply, completely out of breathe.
The Dragon whipped his face with his claw, completely unfazed by Relena's rampage. He taped his fingers, pretending to have spit on his face.
"You done now?" He asked simply.
Relena took a deep breathe, ready release some more of her anger.
But she had none left. "Yes, quite ready actually." She said relaxing her muscles.
"Good, now where are we going?" He asked.
Relena raised her shoulders. "I don't know, I was just walking in a direction."
The Dragon sighed. "I was afraid of that, it seems that we are lost in one off the biggest forest on this planet." He sighed again. "That does not seem good to me."
Relena nodded her head. "Nope, not good at all."
The Dragon lifted his claw and examined his nails like he was doing scientific research on it.
"I whish one of us could fly you know." He said then acting suprised as he continued. "O, my wait a minute. I can!"
The Dragon opened his magnificent wings showing her the sight of them.
They looked so venerable, yet so strong.
"Now don't turn sarcastic on me!" Relena said a hint of treat in her voice.
"I say, I wouldn't dare." The Dragon said suprised. Raising his claw to his chest to dramatize the moment.
Relena approached the Dragon. "You think you can fly?" She asked a bit of concerned.
"Well, I am a Dragon. I think I can manage." He said.
Relena chuckled. "You remind me of somebody."
"Who?" The Dragon asked curious.
"I....I don't remember." Relena said. She thought hard but somehow she could not find the image of the person she was looking for. His/her name was on the tip off her tongue but refused to come out.
"It's alright. You'll remember sooner or later. But before it is later, let's get up shall we?"
Relena gently climbed onto the Dragon's back. And seated herself on the beginning of his neck.
"Do you have a name Dragon?" Relena asked.
"No, I don't actually."
"Didn't your parents give you one?" Relena asked getting curious.
"I never knew them, they were killed in the first war against the dark Enterrans. I was left to fend for myself ever since I hatched."
Relena lowered her gaze, she felt the pain that was coming from his words.
"I am sorry, at least we have something in common. I have know my parents but I do not remember them. They were also killed when I was a young girl."
"Don't be sorry, I have learned a lot of things because of their death, and I have become who I am today. And I am proud of that. You should be as well. Our parents sacrificed their lives for the sake of their children. There is nothing more beautiful in the world then the love for ones offspring."
Relena smiled. "Yes. I quess your right."
She thought for a second, she could not keep calling the dragon "Dragon" she had to give him another name.
"If you don't have a name, do you mind if I give you one?"
"Not at all, I would be honored."
"How about Kane?"
The dragon let the name sink in and decided that it would fit him perfectly.
"Alright. What is your name girl?" He asked politely.
"I do not remember what name my parents gave me. All I know is that they used to call me Relena."
"Who are 'they'?"
"The doctor who made me who I am today. And some others, but I don't remember them. Everything is a blur."
Kane said nothing but started flapping his wings. Large gushes of wind blew around Relena. She had to hold on as not to fall off.
Her hair fought against the wind, getting in front of her face all the time, and did not cooperate as it should.
"You probably don't have a hairband do you?" She said loudly.
"Actually I do." He said in a feminine voice.
Relena slapped him on the head in response, and Kane started laughing.
They lifted of the ground, and they surpassed the height of the trees.
All Relena saw where trees, thousands, millions maybe even billions. As far as her eyes could see there were trees.
At the horizon the sun was setting, or actually, both suns. 2 next to each other, the left a tad bit larger then the other. She had never seen such a spectacular sight. She sky was turning bright orange, and the clouds gave the color an extra dimension.
Relena looked around her and saw to her right a large mountain, covered in snow.
"Where are we going Kane?"She asked.
"Right over there." He said, turning his body, so she looked into the direction they were going.
She saw a large hovering cloud, on top of it was a large white castle.
It looked like a fairy tale castle, high thin towers graced it's side, and high walls protected the ones inside. The roof was dark blue, giving the white a more blinding effect. It was gorgeuos.
Relena could not pick her mouth up from the floor(which was now a long way down) so she decided not to respond.
Kane chuckled. "Beautiful neh?" He asked before he picked up his speed, flying towards the castle.
****Near Victoria Falls, in a dark cell****
Gaia was getting sick of being alone, she missed Relena. The pleasant girl had been gone way to long. Not even one of her training's took this long, and she was experienced.
Her instincts told her there was something wrong with Relena, something told her she was not herself anymore.
She had heard the doctor complaining about Relena being missing. But how could that be? Gaia had tried this numerous of times but was never able to escape the doctor's watchful eye.
An idea came up, if the doctor was now to buissy searching for Relena, he would not notice her leaving.
Gaia smiled wickedly as she scanned the walls of her cell.
She located a weak point and slammed the left side of her body into the wall. It gave way, and crumbled at her feet. Her smile grew larger as she raced through the hallways. Knowing them like the back of her hand, the reached the exit in record time.
Behind her alarm bells rang loudly, it didn't matter she was already free.
***The Doctor's observation room***
"What the hell is going on around here?!" Said the doctor, storming into the observation room. His face definitely said that he was annoyed.
"We have a master alarm sir. Subject number 1 has escaped." His assistant said. The doctor's eyes grew wide. "No....not Gaia. Anybody but her!"
"Sir?" His assistant said unsure of what to do.
"Stop the search for Relena. Find Gaia! She is way to dangerous to leave this building!"
"Yes sir!" The assistant said while he saluted the doctor and gave the orders to the soldiers.
'If Gaia is free, nothing can stop her. Her program is not capable to control her outside. If she blows, we're doomed. God help us all.' The doctor thought while leaving the room.
