After Colony 204...

Christmas at the Darlain estate was more homy than the last few years. Duo, Trowa, Quatre, and even Wufei and company were there. Zechs and Noin were sitting on the love-seat with their one year old boy, Nate. Duo and Elyn were playing a game of cards with Wufei and Sally. Trowa and Quatre were playing a lovely duet of flute and violin, while Catherine and Une were listening.
Meanwhile, Relena was upstairs, watching the weather. 'He'll be here... He'll be here.' "Pagan, why on Earth did it have to storm?"
Smiling slightly, "I don't know, miss Relena. ...In any case, we might as well be grateful it is a white Christmas this year." 'She's waiting for him,' he thought to himself sadly. 'Though I don't know if he'll make it on time, at least tonight, on time.'
Downstairs, Zechs was thinking about the same person... 'Please, let him at least get here for her sake.' "Where is he?"
Elyn placed two cards down and looked up at Wufei, a smirk on her face. "Wufei, what do you drink with tonic?"
"Don't tell me." he said as he slapped his cards down. Sally giggled along with Duo.
"Gin."
"I said don't tell me!"

Somewhere not to far away ...
Heero glared at the deer. The deer stared equably back at him. A piece of the car door handle was stuck to its horns.
The car was totaled, to put it nicely. He was driving quite safely, due to the weather, going about 30mph, and then the biggest buck he ever saw jumps out of nowhere. He slammed on the breaks, locking them. The car did a 360 and flipped him and the roses he brought out of the car.
When he came to, he saw the wheels just start to come to a stop, while the buck tugged his horns out of the passenger door. The buck managed to attack it while it was spinning, almost dislodging its horns. Pulling loose, it took the door handle with him. Then, to Heero's annoyance, it walked away 5 feet and stood there, watching him as if saying, "Wasn't me!"
Grunting in pain as he stood up, trying to balance on his feet. He was a little dizzy, and stiff from where he fell. The roses were covered in snow, he observed as he picked them up. The deer, a 15 point buck, still didn't move, staring at him. "Got away without a scratch, I see." Blinking at him, it walked up to the car and shook the door handle off. Heero smirked, then winced as that pulled the bruise on his head. Still a little dizzy, he shook his head to clear his vision. Big mistake, to say the least. He fell to his knees, and closed his eyes. Another big mistake. He started to feel nauseaus, as he opened his eyes. "Great. A concussion, just perfect."
The deer was wuffling nearby, looking at him curiously. "Oh, go away, why don't you." Was Heero's remark. The deer blinked and walked up to him, about a car's length away, and stopped.
Rising, to try again, Heero started to fall again when the strangest thing ever happened to him; the deer dropped his head to help him up. Blinking himself, Heero accepted the help, a bit stiffly, to be sure, but this was the first time in ages that he had accepted any help. "Just don't drop me now."
more soon,

(hehehhe, bet your thinking that the deer is strange, ne?)
(Maybe, it's not what Heero thinks it is...)
