AN: This series shouldn't be too long, but I think this is turning out to be my favorite series yet. I normally can't stand reading fics that center around the children of the Gundam pilots, but this only centers around one child; and this also takes on a very different twist to the whole idea. Don't worry; there won't be anything about this child becoming a Gundam pilot like his father and so forth. This is completely different. I think you'll like it if you give it a chance. Thanks, and please tell me if I should continue.

Disclaimer: I don't own Gundam Wing, but I do own the words of the "novel" and this plot line... as well as any new characters not found in the anime.

The hound yowled to his master to let it be known that the child made fox had been found under the moonless nigh, for the young creature was trapped in the burrow where both mother and mate had laid him those many years ago.

"This book's words are almost too real for the situation at hand," the woman with dark brown hair now turned auburn from Helios's mane whispering upon her tendrils its luster and eyes of a similar hue to expose the severe creases of her face worn from years of scour and chase, sighed as she neared the building before her.

After vain hours, weeks, months, and wicked years of searching both physically along street corners and through condemned edifice from a surviving war's curse whose ghosts still shrieked their requiem unto the souls that dwelled in the scathed behind bowing wall, as well as mentally through virtual files and money trails left cold long ago, the lady's hunt had finally ended in a place but too obvious to be considered before: a storage house for mobile suits and other military equipment, long thought abandoned by any civilian still hiding around the ruined city.

The figure used her key card, after so long still able to be recognized by a computer that had been obliterated in a fight once past, and entered the orifice of the structure that reeked of must and blood of a man dried after rain leaked by rust to find her charge, all the while her only light but a naked bulb that dangled above from the exposed wire. A bed with coarse sheet she found at the rear of the vicinity, hidden in the left crevice to be shaded in dusk, and nearby in the opposite corner stood table and chair to match while the wood rotted away even as the smolder of the bulb flickered for repose.
??
*Definitely the shelter of an orphan,* this woman marked in her thoughts as she approached the furnishings, for she had seen many such "hide-aways" of war's forsaken children in her crossings; and hopefully this shed would hold the one.

Her steps remained even in the direction of the glow that emanated from behind the dislodged cavity from a mobile doll encrusted in frayed dust and the oils running along its shoulder, for as she walked she could hear faintly the rustle of fingertip on keyboard accompanied with the processing of a computer--someone was there... searching... searching just like she.

Taking one last breath before confronting this shadow, she turned away from the debris of scrap metal and halted in her step as her eyes focused on the sight in mistrust at first, for it was then she beheld the silhouette of the boy she had been looking for for over thirteen years, here in this place where the day never cried and the night would not yield. Wild hair of softer shade than father sired, brow less severe of murder's hand with guile, and frame so slight with strength unknown by sight. In this darkness, she found the child.

Wow, Tomorrow, your writing always gives me the chills, its so good. My interest is piqued about what is going on here. Who is the woman? What's going on? Why is she looking for Heero? I'm sure we'll know the answers soon. Great job! I can't wait to see more!

*hugs*

PS. I loved your Chrono Cross series, are you ever going to update it? *puppy eyes* please?

You have such a distinctive style of writing, Tomorrow, I know your work without looking for an author. Your way with words is so poetic and I often find myself rereading your work again finding greater pleasure the second time around. Like you I have difficulty with stories about the children of the pilots - however I trust you when you say that this is different and I look forward very much to reading more.
