Heero Yuy feared for his life. His previous missions, his covert lifestyle, his battles - all paled when compared to this newest challenge. His sweet, beautiful, intelligent, peace-loving wife of three months, Relena, had asked him to do something for her.
She wanted to learn how to drive.
And not just anyone could teach her. No, it just HAD to be him. He could still hear her voice...
"But Heero! I practically STALKED you during the war, and not once did you get frustrated with me! Surely you can handle this one, little, simple request...can't you?"
No, he thought, shaking his head. It hadn't been her argument that had - reluctantly - convinced him to honor her request. No, it had been the sad puppy-dog eyes that she had given him. Curse her, she knew he couldn't withstand that look!
And so, with much regret in his eyes, Heero Yuy surveyed his domain, choosing a lamb to be lead to the slaughter. His cars, his beautiful, shiny, fast (oh god, he hadn't thought about that part!), antique, super-rare cars...he kind of wished that he'd kept an old junker around....
An idea! Heero could practically hear the choir of angels singing. The sun burst through the clouds, a single beam falling to the ground, the light surrounding Heero. It might have been too late for him, but his precious cars were saved! He just hoped that Duo still had that old car...
Whistling through his teeth, Heero flipped open his cell phone, hitting the automatic dial for Duo's personal number. Duo picked up on the fifth ring, sounding slightly out of breath.
"...Yeah?"
"Duo? Is something wrong?"
"...Heero? Um...no, nothing's..." a muffled sound in the background, followed by Duo's voice jumping four octaves, "no, nothing's wrong. What...*stop that, Hilde!* what can I do for you?"
Heero smiled, then laughed outright.
"Tell Hilde to leave you alone for a minute. I need a really big favor from you..."
