On with the fiction that I had in my brain for two or three months.

At the Darlain estate....
Relena was on the phone, speaking with one of the princesses from some country about something or other. Tapping her fingers on her desk impatiently, saying,"Uh-huh, uh-huh, yes, really?"about two dozen times while the princess went on and on and on, and on, about how her pet cat named mamzelle was the cutest thing.
"Hmm, uh, Gloria? Weren't you going to tell me how your country was going?"
"Huh? Why bother Miss Relena? It's perfectly fine thanks to you and the former gundam pilots."
"I'm sorry, but I have to attend a meeting with the colony delagates. Perhaps later," 'Much later' "We can talk again."
"But of course miss Relena. Farewell!!!!" A kissing noise was heard, then blissfully, the reciever was silent.
"Foolish, stupid, blonde, ignorant..."
Knocking at the door brought Relena out of her ranting. Duo's head popped in. "Hey princess! How's it hanging?"
"Hello Duo. I'm doing all right. How's Elyn?"
"Uh-oh. Had another spoiled rich kid on the phone?" Smirking, he helped himself to an apple. Elyn walked in and snatched it from him. "Hey! I stole that fair and square."
"Hn. Which I stole from you, fair and square. Afternoon Relena." And she took an enormous bite out of the apple, glaring at Duo. Duo's jaw fell, pouting he went behind Elyn and snitched it from her open hand. Elyn winked at Relena and mouthed,"Trained."
Smiling Relena got up and grabbed her now cold toast. "Afternoon, Elyn. And yes, Duo, I was in the middle of a conversation with Princess Gloria about how mamzelle pusycat was just the cutest thing, and how adorable it was when Senator Pamdakee patted her head." Taking on a girlish french accent.
"How can you stand them?" Elyn wanted to know as Duo stopped laughing, though his smile never left his face.
"I don't know, I really don't."Relena said exasperated. She was tired of all the girls who didn't know what happened before peace began.
"Say,"Duo said suddenly,"How about we all have a nice vaction. 'we' meaning you."he winked at Relena and went over to her desk. "See, you don't have anything for two weeks. Perfect time for a break."
"Duo has a point." Trowa came inside rather briskly. Quatre and Wufei hurried inside and closed the door.
"What's wrong?"Elyn and Relena asked as Duo blinked.
"Huh? Nothing! Nothing at...sigh. Une."Quatre said as everyone else's shoulders slumped. Wufei shivered.
"What did you do!?" Relena asked wide eyed. Before they could tell her, Heero came in through the window.
"She's going the other way."
"Well, we weren't exactly supposed to uh," Quatre said, stammering as Relena stifled her giggles.
"Come here today."Trowa finished.
"Under Zech's and Une's orders. Occording to them, we should pay more attention to preventer issues."Wufei growled out. Heero nodded to Relena and checked outside the window.
"And Heero and Zechs got into a row about wht was Preventer business, then Une yelled at us for agreeing with Heero when we hadn't said a word! Naturally, we objected to that. Une gave us all paper work. Which Heero finished for us all by noon. We all left before she or Zechs got more issued. Wufei complained to Noin and Sally, and they said to just go. Relena was the reason the preventers were created anyway, so..."Quatre paused to let someone carry on.
"Let's just say, Zechs and Noin had a row, and Sally and Une argued sanely."Trowa ended matter of factly.
Relena's eyes moved from Trowa, Quatre, Wufei, then to Heero. She burst out laughing. Which wasn't something Heero was expecting.
He turned around and stared wide eyed at Relena. Elyn smiled and shook her head. Duo joined Relena.
"Haahahahahah! Ok, I guess I have no choice but to ask you guys to come with me to my spring break. I'll deal with Zechs. But you all have to say you're with me to guard me during my vacation, got it?"
"Hmmph. What else do we do?"Heero sarcastically added as Relena and Duo decided where they were going to go.
