PART SEVEN

After yet another very lengthy (nearly seven hour) search on the suspicious character of Joseph K., Heero came up with two more important pieces of information, which he hoped were false.

-1. Relena sent in numerous notes to Une to include Joseph K. in this vacation
-2. Joseph K. sent in numerous notes to Une to be included in Relena's vacation
-3. There was a rumor going around that Relena and K. were involved

With a sinking heart, Heero remembered all the shared secretive looks between the two, the interruptions he and his wife had had, Joseph K. going everywhere with his wife, what Relena was going to tell him, and finally, what Relena had discussed on the phone with Hilde. He couldn't believe it. It all boiled down to the fact that his beautiful, humorous, gentle, faithful wife was not as faithful as he had been lead to believe. Relena was having an affair, and blatantly at that!

A wave of nausea rushed through his gut as the ex-Gundam Pilot stood up, sweeping his laptop off the table with one movement and sending the precious piece of equipment crashing into the wall. He closed his eyes, and scowled.

Heero wasn't sure whether he stayed like this for hours or for minutes, but when he did resurface, the man had made up his mind. He opened the chamber of his gun and loaded a clip of bullets. With renewed determination, Heero Yuy started his journey to the room in which he knew Joseph K. resided. The mission: destroy the enemy. It was simple.

The painful ball that had formed in his chest region was only acknowledged by a accidental stumble the darkness of the stairs. Other than that, he traveled, gun in hand, to Joseph K.'s room, with a certain aura of calm assurance.

Heero stood outside the door, staring at the paneled hard oak wood, waiting for eternity. He could hear the muffled gasps and cries of two lovers inside. His finger shook on the trigger. Slowly lowering his head, he studied the hardwood floor of the hallway. Then, with a powerful blow, the locked door burst away from its frame and slowly creaked inward.

Blonde hair, tossed in the sudden light of the hallway, sparkled beautifully on the sheets. Joseph K.'s dark, muscular body was half-naked in the bed, bent over her figure. Heero watched in slow motion as Joseph K. turned, pallid in the darkness, toward his upraised gun. Heero waited for his wife's pained gasp.

Her lips opened to issue the soft feminine whisper, but instead, a deep, male grumble shocked Heero to his boots. "Joseef, iz thiz 'or luver?"

The Japanese man wondered a moment whether or not his wife had started to take steroids and how her voice had grown so deep so soon. It was like expecting a sweet tea and taking a sip of Diet Coke. Weird. Heero blinked, his dark eyes widening and suddenly making out two very masculine figures in the bed in front of him. He stood there, with the gun hanging loosely in his grasp, staring at the two gay men lovers, one of whom was supposed to be having unprotected sexual intercourse with his dear wife. Wow, very different than his imagination had taken it to be?but better, much better.

Joseph K. blinked. "General Yuy?"

He hesitated, then stepped backward, keeping the gun raised. He cleared his throat before saying, "Are you using all the necessary protection?"

Joseph and his partner (the man from the living room before, Heero recognized) blinked. "Yez, zir."

"Sir, yes, sir."

"Good. Carry on then," Heero said, relaxing his hold on the gun. As he started to close the door, Heero lowered his head, suddenly realizing that this wasn't the end of his searching, and questioned Joseph K. suddenly. "Where have you and my wife been going these last few days?"

The colonel blinked. "206 Blossom Street, room 504. Dr. Clyde Jackson."

Heero swallowed and nodded, closing the door, the muscle in his cheek twitching.

? * * *

Dr. Jackson groaned, massaging his temples with his fingertips. He was staying late again to run over reports in the filing room, his wife was royally pissed at him (she thought he was having an affair, of all things), and he had a terrible headache. Life couldn't get any worse??

Apparently it could. Clyde stared wide-eyed at the computer screen in front of him. There was something very cold and very metallic pressed to his forehead, and he was sure it wasn't a stethoscope. But really, who would hold up a filing room in a small woman's center? Perhaps someone who needed to visit the mental health center across the street?though it wouldn't even be sane in Clyde's sense to inform the crazy man with the gun of such things??

"My wife."

Clyde blinked, torn away from his musings to instantly recognizing the voice as the husband of an old patient. "Mr. Yuy?"

He carefully turned his head to look upward at Heero with large eyes. Heero, for his part, scowled down at the man. He did recognize the short, bald, fat, and thick spectacled man, though in a million years would never have thought the doctor even capable of thinking of having an affair with his wife, much less doing so. If Dr. Jackson expected to live after sleeping with Relena, the deluded doctor had another thing coming (mainly a bullet between the eyes).

"Why?" Heero asked hoarsely.

Clyde only blinked owlishly from behind his spectacles before shoving them roughly up his sweaty nose with one finger. "I should think you would understand about the circumstances in the bedroom, Mr. Yuy."

"You think I don't?satisfy my wife's desires?" Heero questioned with a wince. What had he done wrong? Did he hurt her?

The doctor cocked an eyebrow, turning his magnified eyeballs to Heero's crotch. "Apparently you do, Mr. Yuy."

A grunt of shock escaped the Japanese man's lips. He shook his head quickly to rid himself of confusion. "Are you mad? Why her? Why you?"

Dr. Jackson blinked again. "I'm not mad, though I am beginning to think you are, Mr. Yuy. And, it's not just about her; it's about you too. As for the second question: I've served your wife for years. And she pays me good money."

Heero squinted, blinking down at the shaking gun in his hands. When had his hand started to shake? "How long!"

"Perhaps?" The doctor counted on his fingers, blinking behind his glasses. "?thirteen years."

Heero bit his lip hard and almost snarled in rage. Before he could speak, though, the doctor cleared his throat and continued while shuffling several papers on his desk. "Honestly, Mr. Yuy, I don't understand why you're so upset??considering the two others before this too."

This time the poor Japanese man was so shocked, he gaped at the doctor. "Two others?" Then his face darkened. "Who are they?! Tell me!"

Dr. Jackson sighed deeply. "Would you like just their names, Mr. Yuy, or their entire folder as well?"

"Everything??All available information."

With a sigh of utter resignation, the doctor slowly arose and walked (with his hands in the air) around the messy desks covered in files. He shuffled slowly through several filing cabinets to find the right folders before extracting two manila colored files.

"I really hate to let the cat out of the bag, but here. Read away."

Heero opened the first one.

-Catherine D. Yuy
-05/15/00
-Female
-O? blood type

The picture attached showed a dark-haired, deep blued eyed girl trying her best to scowl and glare at the camera. She however, only managed to plaster the word "cuteness" all over the camera. His daughter. Beautiful daughter. It was taken so many years ago, almost 6. She was now nearly 12 years old?

Heero opened the second one.

-Ryan M. Yuy
-07/03/06
-Male
-O? blood type

This picture was of a blonde haired, green-eyed boy who smiled at the camera in all cuteness. Heero couldn't help but remember the way Ryan had tried so hard to scowl but had only ended up baring his teeth, or lack of (having lost the front two the day before).

His children were the men defiling his wife? A slow look of comprehension crossed his face. Clyde could almost see the wheels turning in Mr. Yuy's head.

The doctor cleared his throat. "I never expected you to take the news of your wife's latest pregnancy so badly."

That proved it then? Heero blinked. Heero paled. Heero nearly fainted from relief. Then he saw the signs. Mood swings, nasty temper, motherly attitude toward all beings (even the Wet Carpet), Joseph's conversation with his nameless lover, Relena's odd conversations with himself and Hilde, and her visits to the doctor. A mental 'ahhhh' shook the man before he felt a large amount of emotion, the principal one being embarrassment.

To be continued...

Did that clear anything up? Sorry i confused everyone, but it's hard to see whether or not you're doing that if you already know what's going on. I think there will be about two more chapters in which more questions will be answered. Anyway, R&R!

Ok, I understand this now. Good job, this story is great!
