Transparent behind the opaque memory
Her sacred name
A whispered plea upon your lips

Do you care?

Are you aware of my pain?

The comfort I offer is unrequited
Reflection of the granted I?m taken for

You want her
Your chimera of love

I am bound to you
Kept close by what could have been
Silly me

Should I care?

Tears are far too tiresome
My overtures of love fall on deaf ears

Why do you seek my undivided attention?

Is there an ulterior motive to your jealousy?

You shun my heart
Demand my life

A justification of the way you break me?

I?d ask for an end
I?d leave if I could
If just to be in the light of maybe

Could you say what I need to hear?

Your voice could lead me
Far from the darkness of never

Have you turned away in a wordless answer?

Silence speaks where I remain invisible in the shadows
