(Drabble #6) For Her - 6x9

Decided to write one up for a change, couldn't pass up the hair issue. I will warn you its a death drabble and my first one too. I can't believe I wrote one. Not a fan of deathfics since it always just hits too close to home.

Oh also while thinking about this, I have an actual 6x9 doujinshi that has Zechs looking like he does at the end of this. Kinda weird but still looks good on him.

But this isn't overly bad so I guess I can give myself a pat on the back.

Title: For Her
Rating: uhh... none? kinda sad, involves death
Word Count: 120
Pairing: 6x9

He was able to finally spend some time alone with her. Looking at her calm features put him at ease for the moment but touching her skin, he knew it was all too real. He missed her soft voice, and most of all, her beautiful blue eyes that had shone the love that she held for him. Their lifetime together was a joke and he hated himself so much for all that he didn?t say or do. He placed something in her hand and closed her fingers around it.

?Nothing lasts forever but my love for you will always be true.?

He walked away from the casket and ran his fingers through his short hair. It was all for her.

AWWWWWWW

gosh, it gave me goosebumps. It's so appropriate because Zechs isn't one to show his feelings much less, voice it. But this one gesture, so subtle and simple has such a powerful and telling effect. It is so unlike him and yet it suits him.

Wonderful job! You should take up more drabble challenges. You're very good at pinpointing the core scenes and relating it with such a flair of drama in so little words. Definitely looking forward to more.

Yeah I noticed that with Zechs too if you think really hard about what kind of person he is. I always thought he was so hard to write but sometimes those moods come hitting me like a ton of bricks and I tend to channel his character. I just sat here at work thinking about the challenge and BAM! I felt like I was put "under" and just started typing. When I stopped and read it over, I was like "did I just write this?" For some reason the idea that I went with stuck to me cause it would seem appropriate for some ppl with long hair to do for the ones that they really loved.

*blush blush* I'm quite flattered with everyones replies to this, I'm still in shock over it but many thanx for the comments. At times it can flow through me when it comes to pointing out certain areas but sadly not all the time hence why my writing has been slow for the past 2 yrs compared to when I use to write alot when things were just brand new. I'm thinking up of something new now for the challenge so I hope it works and a 1xR too.

*blushes even more* I'm overwhelmed by you guys, it totally made me smile that I could bring out so much in few little words. And your comment enough was, well, probably the best damn thing I've ever had someone say about what I wrote.

But it does seem that when Zechs wants to be nice and let me play with him I can channel him pretty well. Its kinda fun to see him in pain but it goes to show what kind of feelings he can truely posses when put in a bad situation.

*nibbles on Miroku's kneecaps* I appreciate all the comments to the ficlet, and it is funny how sometimes very few words can say a whole hellva lot. I'm still shocked myself that this came from ME! But Zechs is nice like that on letting me have some downtime with him, regardless of how I feel about angst, sad, or deathfics.
