Mischief and Mayhem
Good lord I'm sure I spelled mischief wrong, but ahead I plow! I want to do a round robin. So here I start. I've got a lot of time to kill until friday night, what can I say...
Disclaimers abound!
Heero watched the house fold in on itself with a noise rather like a cross between a "fump" and a "smasha". The demolition of his abode was not his intention, but it had certainly been the result. It had started when Duo had told him about a surefire way to make more compact and effective explosives. Amazing the results of just one little mistake. This was highly embarrassing.
Dusty and now homeless Heero considered his options. He needed someplace to stay, and rather badly, but a motel did not seem like a good idea. Too expensive for one thing, and for another there were plenty of friends who would open their homes to him in this time of need.
After rooting around in the rubble for some changes of clothing and a suitcase, which he extracted after quite a bit of digging, he passed through the crowd of people who had come to gawk and made his way into the world.
His way led him to a familiar mansion. But after pausing for a while he decided to ask Relena only as a last resort. Danger lay down that path, as nicely landscaped as it appeared, and he would try to avoid it if he could. Why had he even come here?
Who lived the closest after Relena? Oh yes. . . Duo and Hilde. . . .
Please someone continue this! Humor my poor bored little self!

The thought of living with Duo and Hilde was also considered a last resort...
Though more appealing then the idea of Relena, he could not picture himself living with the two. No, he had heard enough stories from Duo about his late night... that is... late night activities... and as comfortable as the house may be, he did not want to be awoken by any of those 'particular' activities.
But as he thought on who else might accomidate him in his time of need, it became all to clear that Duo and Hilde just might be his best option.
With Trowa away with his circus; Wufei's small apartment and the neverending competition between the two; Quatre's home being too far a journey that would make doing his job impossible...
No...
The only thing he could do was either stay at Duo and Hilde's or Relena.
It wasn't long before he found himself outside their household upon their doorstep, but as he waited for the door to open... it became all too clear that no one was home.
It hit him then... Duo and Hilde were on vacation and he was unsure of when they might return...
He could only see three options:
1. Break into Duo's and hope they return soon.
2. Relena's... but he remained vigilant on the idea of it being a last resort
3. Wufei... who wasn't looking too bad at the moment...
He sighed to himself... there was clearly only one option...

Best to think through this logically.
Breaking into Duo and Hilde's house would most likely not make them so welcoming to the idea of him staying even longer. Worse, Duo (who was not the most cunning but certainly not unvigilant as a former Gundam pilot) most likely had installed some sort of security. The best way to get through it was to disable it (i.e. destory it) and yet again make his welcome there a little less warm.
Relena. . . was Relena.
Damn it all. Off to Wufei's. Stepping back into his car he drove over to a particularly bad part of town featuring low rent apartments (mainly for single men). Wufei was the cheapest man alive. He could afford a better place easily. What sort of nest egg did he need to build? Maybe he had some expensive habits they didn't know about. . . like buying fabrege eggs or something equally shameful. More likely he really was that cheap.
Walking over, the ominously dark sky opened up and it began to pour down rain. Looking like a drowned rat and a lost puppy all rolled into one and made about a hundred times more deadly and more cranky, Heero darkened the doorway to the small apartment.
A place that used to read 56 and now read '9' as the five had fallen off and the 6 was hanging by a nail proved to be his destination. He knocked twice.
No answer.
He knocked again.
No answer.
He repeated his systematic knocking until an irate Chinese man opened the door and stared at the damp pilot holding a suitcase in front of him.
"My house is gone. Can I stay with you for a while?"
Wufei regarded him crossly for a moment, then came to a decision.

"No."
Heero sat there dumbstruck by the single word preventing him from entering. It was then that the door was slammed in his face. For a few seconds Heero became associated with Mr. Door, but was snapped out of his reverie when the upside down six decided to fall, landing a few inches away from what looked like the missing five.
Narrowing his eyes at Mr. Door, he rationalized that Wufei had not given it enough time to think through. Setting his suitcase down, Heero stepped back from the door...
*
Wufei sat staring at the door he had just recently closed. Doubting whether or not he made the right decision.
Having Heero here could not be an option. His precious abode was closed off to all... and most especially now that he had taken up to collecting fabrege eggs, which lay safely hidden in the back of his closet in the shrine he had built them.
But on the other hand...
Getting up from the couch he strolled back over to the door, his hand reaching out inches away from grasping the handle...
*
...Heero then positioned himself to kickdown the door...

With a whoosh from the quick exhale he made before hitting the door he crashed through with a crack and a thump. Wufei's eye twitched as he surveyed Heero laying atop the door that had at one time been on its hinges.
"You broke my door." Sometimes all a person can do is state the obvious.
"I'll fix it. Get me a screwdriver and a hammer." Wufei numbly did so and Heero did fix the door as he promised, even if it now opened the wrong way and was also possibly upside down. "Now that I'm here," Heero began. "I think you should let me stay. At least for tonight." Start small, he thought, and then bargin for more time later.
"Very well. I suppose if I don't you'll break something I'll actually have to pay for."
Heero nodded and sat down on the couch, waiting to dry off. Wufei turned on the TV and they sat there for a while in silence until Wufei couldn't contain his annoyance anymore.
"Why me? Won't that braided idiot and his woman help you?"
"They weren't home."
They turned back to the TV.
"What about Re-" Heero shot him his patented death glare. That stopped that line of questioning.
This was highly irritating. He needed to find a way to get Heero out of here, even if it drove him out as well. Plans filtered through his mind.

As his plan was formulated, Wufei came to the conclusion that Heero would indeed have to be endured for the night.
As much as he wanted him out of his house and now, it would have to wait. Oh, he knew what Heero was up to. Saying that he was only going to spend the night and then gradually one night would turn into a week, then a month, and who knows how long after that...
Pushing himself off from the couch while giving Heero one of his own trademark glares, he quietly headed off towards his room, throwing over a non-chalent 'couch...sleep...g'nite'
*
Heero became aware of his surroundings groggily...
He wondered briefly why the couch should feel so hard and had the texture of wood rather then the soft feel of leather like he slept on last night. His awareness then kicked in. Jumping up he looked around the room with a half-stunned half-annoyed look on his face.
The living room was completely empty...
Taking the time, he searched through the entire apartment only to find it in the same state as the room he had slept in.
Amazed, he wondered how Wufei could remove all his belongings, albeit scarce belongings, in one night alone without alerting Heero to his moving.
It also seemed his suitcase with all his belongings were gone as well...
It was then he noticed a small note attached to the door...
Walking over, seeing that it was in Wufei's script, he read:

"On Vacation" Heero regarded the note with consternation. Scanning it, he noted a postscript written as small as possible at the bottom. "Next time bum off someone else. Well, thanks a bunch Wufei."
It didn't explain his missing clothes, but as that was such a small loss in the bigger scheme of things (he thought of his now soggy remains of a house) he'd let it slide. It was easier than making a big deal of this disaster of a day, or 24 hour span as the case may be.
He tried to take a shower in the bathroom denuded of all accessories, but the showerhead made this whining noise and then popped off in a shower of dirty colored water. Great. Now he was even dirtier, wet again, and homeless with only a wallet and a car in his possession.
Even slamming the door as he left didn't improve his foul temper. Rarely did Heero Yuy get mad, but this had been a trying weekend. And it was only saturday. If it was a weekday he could have at least slept in the office. Hilde and Duo had probably just been partying last night, now that he thought of it, so they must be back home by now.
Winding his way to their small house, he knocked at the door in a manner not unlike how he got Wufei to come to the door. This time the delay was not because they were avoiding him but because they were sleeping. It was 1pm after all. Of course they would be sleeping, like any decent person on a saturday.
Duo, with his braid ratty and coming out in spots, answered the door in what appeared to be only a bathrobe. His eyes narrowed at the sunshine, and became confused as he regarded the dripping wet Heero.
"uh?"
"Can I come in?" Like a vampire he planned to enter as many times as he wished once invited.
"buh?"
"Inside. Can I come inside the house?" He made little walking motions with his fingers in front of Duo's face.
"guh." Close enough to a yes for him. Heero strode in.
A pot of coffee later Duo was in turns laughing at his friend and laughing even harder at his friend.
"Of course you can stay here buddy! I don't mind at all." Hilde came walking in at this point.
"What don't you mind?" He gave her a kiss on the cheek as she snagged a cup of coffee.
"Heero's gonna stay with us for a while. He blew up his house yesterday." Duo laughed a little more but jumped aside as his butt which had been leaned against the counter got very warm and damp. Coffee ran onto the floor next to him as Hilde continued to pour, frozen in initial shock.
"He's WHAT?!"
"Er. He's staying with us?"
"Oh is he now?" Hands on hips, Hidle grabbed her overly full cup of coffee and made her way into the bathroom.
"See," Duo said with a slightly strained smile. "No problem."

Hilde had left the room and no sooner was she gone that Duo followed after...
As Heero sat in the kitchen drinking his coffee, sounds from another room became very apparant. He knew two people were talking, but the sound was muffled out by the door.
Leaning on his chair he tried to hear his two friends...
"...can't...here...."
"But.........sleep.....the...room"
"No....s-"
He was only able to pick up a few words here and there, leaving him unable to decipher the conversation, but as he continued to lean farther on his chair he noticed that talking had stopped and strange sounds were coming from the bathroom...
It took him awhile before he was able to realize just what those sounds were... upon realization he then ungracefully fell from the chair as he quickly tried to lean away from the door.
Sprawled on the floor, hot coffee staining his last shirt, Duo then had the grace to walk in.
He looked slightly messier then he had before, but a smile graced his featuers as he looked down on Heero a small laugh escaping his lips.
"Yea Heero, you can stay-"
It was then a very irate Hilde walked in sending a glare to both men...
Slightly high pitched she whispered a very threatening "If he stays... NO SEX!"
And with that threat in place, she walked away, once again locking herself in the bathroom.
Duo's transformation from amused to scared was instantaneous.
"That is you can't stay here."
Before he could take in any of this new information, he found himself once again on Duo's doorstep staring at an upside down door.
What was he going to do now...?

That's it. All that was left was Relena's house. She had a mansion. There was no reason he even had to see her when they left for work in the morning. Rooms and rooms.
But only one roof.
So what if they were in the same building. They had lived in the same city for a long time and he had never done anything he regretted before. Yet something told him that in this circumstance it would be different. There were no gates and dogs and personally installed security system giving the illusion of keeping him out (he had installed it, so it was mostly a joke). Relena, with her soft touch for a person in need would open up her home to him right away. That was exactly what he feared, at any rate.
Since he had to try otherwise pick through his house rubble and try to make a little shanty. With the weather still cloudy and unforgiving, he didn't think his chances of enjoying that were very high.
Off to Relena's.
Once he stood at the gate he felt an odd sense of forboding, as if something was wrong. Alarms went off in his brain as he pressed the button to talk to someone. After a buzz or two Pagan appeared on the screen.
"Ah... Mr. Yuy..."

It wasn't long before the gates begun their creaking, grating open upon a gravel road. A long dark ominous path that lead to Relena's mansion, his soon to be temporary living domain...
There was an air about the place as he walked up the path, like someone holding their breath, waiting, as the air in your lungs grew shorter in supply until the pressure becomse to much to bare, and soon enough you find yourself gasping for air...
His breath was ragged, palms sweaty, heartbeat beating a mile a minute. He couldn't recall when all this nervousness took place, but with each step taking him closer to Relena, he found himself wondering why this particular moment should make him feel panicked...
Heero Yuy was the perfect soldier, ever calm in each and every situation, but...
but...
Relena was just... different.
It wasn't long before he stepped towards the doorway, Pagan having left the door ajar. A cool breeze blew across his face before he took that final step inside. There was an amused sort of look upon Pagan's face as he looked Heero up and down, noticing most likely the large coffee stain upon his shirt. Without comment, to Heero's relief, Pagan lead him to a side door. As he entered, Heero Yuy, the perfect soldier came face to face with his one and only weakness...
"Good Morning Heero."
"Relena..."
(gawd... I think I'm getting worse!!!)

Hold my tongue...
Slip off the sound...
I feel my feet...
To find the ground...
[This Busy Monster]
I kill beans with my forceps... *har, har*
