^^ hello. I have to ask. Is this layout easier for you guys then how it was with just html? I've gotten so busy lately and havent been able to update anything for my site. Would this kind of site help at all?

I wont if it'll make u guys mad for thinking I wanted to copy. Do you guys know any other kind of short-cut I could use? All these doctor and therapy sessions are killing my online time! *mutters* stupid people . . .

It took some getting used to, but it's much MUCH easier to handle. I didn't have a lot of time to spend updating with all the time I wanted to spend writing, plus then there's that whole job thing...

So yeah, it's easier.

And the software is free. There's nothing "copywritable" on my end. I found it by going to GW Addiction, and asked the webmaster there if she minded if I borrow the arrangement of the forums and whatnot. Since then, I've deviated a LOT. You'll start out doing something similar based on the software, and then either go with the basic layout or if you want to modify it to your tastes, you'll do that, and it won't end up looking too much like BI, though the software will still be the same.

^^ thanks! You wouldnt happen to be the blackrose who wrote sailor moon fanfics would you?

And is there somewhere I can go to see how to make it more website like and less forumy? I have a phpbb forum that doesnt get all that use, that's what I'm changing.

Um, actually, no I have never written a Sailor Moon fic.

You already have phpBB installed on your server? Well, the places I visit for information on phpBB have been phpBB.com and phpBBhacks.com.

phpBBhacks has a lot of templates in order to organize your site in different ways. Lemme get you a direct linky thing....

in the top right corner is a pull down menu for changing the style of the forum.

It's for phpBB2. Do you have that version???

Well, I got the templates down. But how were you guys able to make webpages? Like the homepage and all that.

Not sure what version it is . . . Just got it a few months ago. As for more tempates I came across this really great site, http://www.phpbbhacks.com/templates.php
