This was the second time he came back, and she didn't know when he was going to leave again. Off to his so called 'missions' he's been having ever since the Eve's War. And her life couldn't get anymore complitcated. She had to balanced her life into Vice Foriegn Minister, rule a country as a Princess, and still be a student. All of this at the age 17.
As always, it was a beatiful morning in the Sanq Kindom. It was winter, but that didn't stop the birds with their morning ballad. The air was chilled, and there was no snow. The scene is perfect.
Relena sighed as she walked into the entrance of her school, St. Gabriel. It was a beginning of another stressful day. Always he was in her mind. Like a phantom. Especially the first time he came to after the war....
"G' Morning Relena!" a jollyful voice shout out suprisingly enough to make her jolt. Relena turned her head to the direction to the voice, and smiled. "Morning Duo, Quatre, everyone." she says happily and walked toward her friends. Her true friends, not the ones that were two-faced to her because of her status. The group contained the gundam pilots, Hilde, and Dorothy. She bowed her head to everyone, even to him, Heero. But as usual Heero bowed his head slightly and then ignored her. Relena frowned inwardly. 'Doesn't he remember anything?' she thought, 'Maybe he's confused.' she silently comforted herself.
The bell rung for students to go to their class. Relena said goodbye to her friends, and she departed for class. She knew she was going to see them all again. They all had 3 period together, which was English. But that was a few hours away.
During periods 1 & 2, all she had was flashbacks. She looked out the window near her desk and remembered.
When Heero came back to the Sanq Kindom the first time after the war, he went to kill Millardo to finish another unsettle score. The two of them never got along. But whatever Heero tried to pull that day, he was stopped by her. And that got Heero really mad. In order to get Millardo, he has to get Relena first. So he planned to kill her. When she was alone.
When Relena went out horseback riding in the forest. Heero followed her. He lurked in the shadows quietly, until it was the perfect time. Which was when Relena dismounted near a river to let her horse rest. She was completely off guard. Or so she looked...
When Heero actually fired the shot to aim at her head, she ducked, and to his surprise, she fired back. The shot she fired hit his gun, which made it fly about 5-7 feet, and left Heero dumbstruck.
He turned his and faced her. She had a mischievous smile across his face. "Millardo taught me a few tricks about assassinations." she says walking towards him slowly. "I know how to shoot now, so don't you dare make a wrong move."
Heero shot her a death glare and lifted his hand in defeat. Relena's grin grew wider. "What do want?" he asks coldly, as she stood in front of him.
"You." she barely whispered, and he let her kiss him....
To Relena's shock the bell rung woke her from her flashblack. She sighed in fustration, and rested her head in her palm for a moment, then got up a walked out of class and on to third period.
She ignored the lump she got her throat, and walked into her English class, just in time as the bell rung for tardiness. To her surprise, Heero wasn't in class! Nor Duo, Trowa, Quatre, and Wufei! 'What in the world?' she thought. 'Where are they? I hope they aren't skipping class again. We have a big exam today!' she frowned, and sat down in her seat; just when the teacher spoke.
"Alright class, I'll give you a couple minutes to study a bit, then we'll do the exam. You guys can study in pairs if you want." she says while fixing her glasses, "Don't talk to loud or I'll make you guys do extra work." And then the teacher sat back down at her desk. Relena sighed and took out her textbook, and began scanning over chapters that she needed to review. During the midst of her review, Relena began overhearing two female classmates talk.
"Have you heard? The school is holding Valentine Potraits on Valentine's Day! How exciting!" the brunet exclamed.
"Really? When is Valentine's day?" her blonde companion questioned.
"I think it's this Friday. Oh my! That's tommorrow! You and your boyfriend should definitely do it! It would make such a pretty picture! It only costs $10, and you get so many pictures!! I'm definitely doing it with my boyfriend!" the burnet ranted.
The blonde laughed. "That is such a cute idea! I think I'll do it, but I got to ask him first. You better give me a picture!" she laughs again.
"You bet!" she laughed.
Relena frowned at the conversation the girls had. She would do anything to get a picture of her and Heero. Both of them smiling, not with Heero's usual frown, both the real happy, true, smile. Like the ones couples, lovers do...
'That's never going to happen. I can already tell.' she rested her cheek in her palm. 'But, it can never hurt to ask. Maybe, maybe after the exam I'll search for him.'
