But the last rose he presented her lay on the cold ground. Wilted and unnoticed by the stone angel that stood guard over the body of his wife.

Angst...I just love angst! I don't know what intrigues me so about it! Oh well, that was a very good use of words, although I personally think that angst is a lot easier to read and write when you can drag it out...or that just be my own sick little demented opinion. Good job otherwise!
