Where the Water Meets the Land: Prologue
Curtain draws and out walks little announcer man
*cough* ?Good evening guys and gals, and without further ado and absolutely no adon?t I present to you a new author?
*Silverose walks out on stage blushing*
Hi everyone, This is all really new to me. This is my first fanfic ever. It?s going to be a series because I learned along time ago I can?t write short and sweet. So I hope that you enjoy.
Disclaimer: I don?t own Gundam Wing. I mean really I don?t own it. I had to borrow it from my boyfriend just so I could watch the whole series. So sue him.
Where the Water Meets the Land
Prologue
?Would he come?? That was the only question that plagued Relena Darlian as she walked along the beach. The night breeze was chilly and she shivered but she paid it no head, to engrossed in her thoughts to notice any physical discomfort. She strode barefoot along the beach, walking the border where the ocean net the shore and let her mind journey to the past.
That day so long ago on this very beach, were a man had washed up on the shore seemingly as dead as a piece of driftwood. She had feared for the man, obviously a soldier washed up from some distant battle. The last thing she had expected was for him to be alive, or so young, or so ungrateful for her assistance.
Still something had captivated her about that boy. She had felt it immediately. As if his very presence had filled some void inside her, she hadn?t even realized she had. As he drove away, in the stolen Ambulance, She physically felt him leave as much as witnessed it. She knew only one thing. She had to find him again.
Relena sighed as the old memories washed over her. ?Like the ocean washes over the land? she thought sentimentally, then, snickered at her own Romanticism. She had grown up over the years. She knew there was no chance in this world for an advocate of peace and an ex assassin to be together, but there were still their meetings.
That?s right, this wasn?t the first time that the Vice Foreign Minister had waited in some remote location for an illusive man to crawl out of the shadows. It had become a tradition. Once a year, on the eve of her birthday Heero Yuy would appear. ?Kinda like Santa Claws or the Easter bunny? she thought cynically.
He never stayed long maybe a couple of hours if she was lucky. Then he would disappear back into the darkness from which he came. For years they had simply talked. They would talk about politics or the war, or the people they had known in it, they talked about anything and everything, but last year something had changed.
*************Flashback*************
They had been talking about Duo?s upcoming wedding when he gave her that look and she knew he had to leave. She had immediately been silent.
?Relena?
?Yes?
?I have to go?
?I know?
Then they had been silent just looking at each other as if trying to remember every detail of the moment. It had happened suddenly. She had no warning. One minute she was looking into his deep blue eyes and the next his lips were on hers
The kiss was gentle. One might have almost said tentative but as she responded so did he, deepening the kiss ever so subtly. In that kiss she felt such a wealth of emotion she couldn?t distinguish one from the other. In that kiss she felt every emotion he had denied himself, every smile he had squelched, every tear he had wished to shed. And then, as quickly as it had begun it was over.
Relena was in shock. He kissed her. She couldn?t quite seem to get her mind around the idea. She wasn?t given the chance though, through the haze of her emotions she heard him
?I wish things were different? and then he was gone
She hadn?t even had a chance to say goodbye before he vanished into the night. All she was left with were her tingling lips and an ache in her heart.
*************End Flashback*************
Suddenly the air surrounding her seemed charged with electrical current. Her senses heightened and she knew. She spun around quickly her eyes catching his. The word left her lips before she realized she was speaking.
?Heero?

?Heero?
Mr. Pepsi went to town.
Coca-cola shot him down.
Dr. Pepper fixed him up.
Now they all drink 7up.

Heero being compared to the Easter Bunny? *giggles* Well, if he shows up only once a year I suppose it applies.
This is a wonderful beginning. My inner fangirl is screaming for joy over the kiss! Not much plot yet, but I would love to see where this is going. Please post again soon!

Great beginning... rather short, though

But you did it that way cause the next chapter will be super long, right? Right?!

Can't wait for more. This sounds very promising...
