Part Three to Shaggy Dog and Just shut up and drive
Chapter one- L-1Colony
"How are we going to make the earth a better place without using colonies?" J questioned the other doctors.
"Recycle the other colonies?" G suggested.
"Create dehydrated food?" S added.
"Both already been done." J and the other one replied.
"Ugh, we'll never think of something to help mankind.
"Don't forget woman," Doctor Marion butted in. The other female doctors nodded in agreement.
"I know what we could do." Doc D said as the tension slowly dissapated. The docs always thoight of the other gender as, well, strange. (what can you expect? they're releated)
"What?" they all asked as D and G started to sketch something on the computer.
"We'll find another planet to place some of the excess population on it."
"Brilliant!" J and Marion exclaimed.
"There's one in a galaxy called Rukbat. It may be Boron based but I think that we can get it to work." G remarked as D typed on the computer and got a visual of the planet.
"What are those circles on the surface?" J asked as S and R zoomed in on the southern hemisphere.
"I don't know," Marion replied as she watched the picture come into view.
"Maybe forest fires?" S commented.
"No. To circular." commented R.
"Whatever it is, the preventers can spot ahead for it." J replied to brush off the strange crop circles.
"I'll get the twins." Marion said as she dialed the phone.

Heero's POV
Ring Ring
"...What?" Heero snapped at whoever woke him up. 'I'm still sore from Relena's so called vacation.' he remembered the experience that went with that equine adventure. His mouth was still cut from the bit.
"Yuy? Marion here"
"Ugh. Not you."
"The same. I have a job for you and your twin, Elyn. Does she still have the gundam I helped her make?"
"Why? In case you hadn't noticed, the wars are over."
"This isn't about the wars, this is about humanity. We doctors are trying to better the lives of mankind now. Anyway, ask the other gundam pilots if they want to go on a little adventure."
What does the old hag want? Elyn wanted to know.
How should I know? She rambles.
I know. Did she say all the Gundam Pilots? What's so big that it needs everyone?
She says that the doctors and her are doing something to better the way of life of humanity.
"Hello? Yuy?" She sounded like her ususal impacient self.
"I heard you, get the others yeah yeah." Click.
Bettering humanity? No such animal when it comes to them. I'll get Duo. Later.
Later.
Groan. 'How'll I tell Relena?' he thought to himself.
<Tell me what?> Relena just entered the bedroom.
<Uh, I have to kinda uh, Damn! I hate it what you do to me.>
"I'm going with you."
"No, you're not."
"You're not even recovered from my so called vacation. How can you go and I stay, when I am healthier than you are?" she retorted.<I don't want to lose you Heero.>
<It's just the doctors going on about saving humanity, not a big deal.> he tried to placate her.
"Then why are you going?" Relena demanded as he got on his trademark top. She pushed him on the bed and sat on him to make her point known.
"I am not going to just sit here and wait for you. Not after what we've been through." she started to cry.
<Relena.What about your duties as Vice Foreign Minister?>
<I'll quit.>she stated as her tears fell on his chest.
<Don't you dare, people need you too much>The tears were wiped away. "I thought you didn't cry anymore." The amusement in his eyes was unbelievable. <So I can go?> she asked impishly as she toyed with his hair.
"Sigh...Just don't get in the way." he remarked as she got off him.
"Me, get in the way?" she choked out angrily. <Who do you think you are? The mother Tereasa?>
<The wha?>
<Read more books next time instead of riding gundams during a war.>
"Don't mention riding." he winced. "Just because your light, doesn't mean your not heavy."
"Hey!" she slapped his back.
<Ouch.> Grumbling ensued this comment. Relena gasped at that,"Sorry! I forgot." She then started to rub his back suggestively.
<Don't, not now.> this got a chuckle from her then she started to tickle.
She found out that he was ticklish the last time they were together. She hadn't even tried then. He apparently found it shameful although she could read off his mind, thanks to the ancient ring that Dr. J gave him, that he enjoyed it a little anyway.
"Ah! Hey, not now!" She loved the way he squirmed closer to her to keep her from tickling. She stopped when she manipulated his head into her lap. He ended up with his legs dangling off the bed while Relena held his torso closer to her.
"I hate it when you do that." he said impetuantly.
"Come on, let's get going to where ever they are. By the way, did you ask?"
"I'll find them."
"Why did I even bother asking. Hey, could we use the bike? Please?"
"What is it with you and that bike?" he muttered as he got fully dressed.

Elyn Yuy POV
"Duo? Come on get up. We have a little adventuring to do."
"Huh? Adventure?" he yawned. "Where to?"
"Get the others too."
"Oh, that kind of adventure." <Again, Where too?>
<To infinity and beyond wolfy> "Yeah, that kind."
"Alrighty. You get the girls and I get the boys?" <Where did you learn about something like this from?>
<Where else? The ex-gundam pilots' doctor hotline> "Roger."

"F'lar? Where are you headed so early?" F'nor asked as his brother jumped onto the enormous bronze Mnementh.
"Where else? To the sky to warm up for the spring games today."
"You know R'gul dosn't like you terrorizing the holders down on the flats."
"Yes mother." was the impish reply. Mnementh? can you talk Canth into persuading F'nor to warm up too?
Canth is willing but F'nor is still grumbling about reckless wingleaders.
"Come on F'nor. Canth needs excercize anyway," he taunted. 'That'll get him'
"Come on Canth, let's show this Bronze rider what he considers warming up." Knowing well ahead that all F'lar wanted was a race.

At the colony L-1...
"Well we're heerrrrreee." Duo of course had to make his own little introduction.
"Thanks for stating the obvious bakka." Wufei grumbled. "Sally dragged me from work in the middle of the night, how about you guys?"
"Your supposed to be asleep during the night, Wufei" Sally interjected. "Hi Duo, how are you and Elyn holding up? She hasn't killed you yet, that's good."
"Hahaha. Very funny."
"Hello Duo." Quatre politely butted in. Dorthy was glomped onto his arm like a vice grip. Quatre merely sighed exasperatedly and said nothing about it. Duo on the other hand almost missed it. Almost.
"Gah! Uh, Quatre my man, do you know you have a Catalonia stuck to your arm?"
"Hmph!"
"Duo,"Quatre hissed as she tightened her hold. "Uh, Dorthy? I'm going to need my arm back, before you make it nesescary for me to look like Dr. J."
"Oh, I'm sorry Master Quatre." She pretended her appology as she released him. She walked away to the other side of the lab where the other girls were conferring.
Sigh. "Thankyou Duo. I was wondering if she was trying to become part of my arm."
"Geez man! When did you hook up?" Duo said flabbergasted.
"She got past Rashid one day in my house. Rashid liked her 'spirit' and says that I should try to get to know her, and, there you have it. And, just like Rashid said, she grew on me. Literally." Duo laughed at that. " It's not funny. We get along now. Duo? What are you doing?" Duo started to snicker. "Nothing! Nothing at a..hahahahahaha!!!!! Grew on ya! She grew on ya!" he crowed the sentence over and over again as he walked away.
"Sheesh. Oh, hi Trowa. How's the preventers doing?"
"Good. Except for the Darlain vacation the preventers have taken care of things the last few months," he spoke in his usual quiet manner.
"Trowa Barton, still the strong silent type heh?"Duo remarked as he and Elyn Walked up. He appeared recovered from his giggling fit. Elyn was glaring at him fiercely. Apparently this was the cause for Duo's straight face.
"Duo, if he was the strong silent type, he wouldn't reply with full sentences," Elyn commented in her caustic way.
"Ouch. I've been hit again by your sharp tongue Ellie."
(Author's note:Now picture sweat drops on Quatre and Trowa. Now picture them both turning their heads back and forth as the couple replied to eachothers snide remarks to one another.)
"I told you not to call me that."
"Whatcha gonna do? Ellie," Duo replied sweetly.
"Fine, wolfy!"
"Hey! That's below the belt."
"What are you going to do? Bite me in the kneecap?" she replied menacingly.
"Now now,"Quatre said, trying to stop them arguing.
"Shut up." both said as they started again.
<Will you two knock it off already?>Heero asked them both as he and Relena got there.
Elyn sent a picture to Heero showing her inner-child razzing him. They stopped however, smirking at one another.
To Relena,<sigh, Why are they together again, Relena?>
<'They get along' was their last remark.> she replied, chuckling.
"Ah, you're all here. Good, good." Marion and Dr. J replied as one.
"Stop the chitchat and tell us why we're here already,"Wufei growled as Mei linn passed him the coffee mug she had just recieved. Sally winked at her as she punched him in the shoulder. "Oh, err...thanks." he quickly added.
"well, it's really G's idea,"Marion mumbled as J looked away sheepishly. It was obviously on J's mind that he should have thought of it.
"Right. Anyway, my idea is that we make an exploration group to look for planets that have oxygen based atmospheres. We were hoping to ask you all to join it, becoming the first people to find a distant planet that our excess population can go, instead of creating more and more colonies." G said as his sister, D, brought up the picture.
The planet was beautiful. It only had Two continents, but even the men that were there gave an apreciative glance at the blue green planet. the southern continent looked like a dragon turning its head, Relena observed.
<Beautiful, isn't it?>Relena thought to Heero.
<Hn.>was the reply she recieved.
"I'm game, how about you Elyn?"
"Hn." was her reply. Duo winked at Relena after that.
"Alright. I'll go,"Wufei nodded as the doctors smiled in relief.
"Not without me you're not,"Sally growled to him.
"I doubt the doctors need women to come with,"he glared at her, daring her to contradict him.
Elyn's head shot up at his comment."Since when have we become men Wufei Chang?"She icily put in. The other girl pilots murmored agreement.
"And since when have women become weaklings?" Dorthy added in the same tone.
Wufei suddenly realized that he was outnumbered and glowered at the girls. The other male pilots were trying to hide their smiles. Heero simply glared at Relena and thought to her, <Are you sure about this?>
<Positive. I have to watch out for you don't I?>She remarked.
"We're in,"he said to J and Marion.
"We?" J asked surprisedly. Marion simply smiled and nodded.
"Us too,"Catherine added. Trowa merely nodded and looked at the plantet some more.
"Quatre?"Dorthy asked. Her eyes were pleading,'Pleeeeaaassseee?'
"Well, who am I to break up the team?" he replied as Dorthy glomped him again.
"Did anyone remember Zechs and Noin?" Relena asked.
"Present." Zechs called out from the doorway. He looked disgruntled as Noin hugged Relena.
"Hey, Noin! Huh? What's this? she asked as they parted."Pregnant? Congratulations Noin! Why didn't you tell me?"she accused Zechs with the same breath.
Sputtering Zechs glanced at Noin hopefully. Noin on the other hand, giggled. Heero simply let the family reunion progress, watching everything and everyone wearily. He still hadn't fully recovered from his run against Xander. Recalling when he tried to 'break him' made him smirk however. Heero had knocked the wind out of him so many times that Xander had no idea where the sun was.
"Heero," Duo started as Elyn went to look at the planet again."You ok?"
"..."
"Thought so. Take a break for once. You'll wear yourself out if you don't relax."
"Hn." Heero was about to leave it at that, but added,"The last time I relaxed, Relena ended up kidnapped."
"Oh," he murmered. 'Why did he look so pale?' he thought to himself.<Elyn?>.he thought to her.
<Yeah?>
<Does Heero look ok to you?>
<Want me to ask him?>
<Hmm, how about no. I already asked him. All he said was->
<Hn, right?>
<Right.>
<He's different around me Duo.We are twins, I can tell when he's lying.>
<Fine, just don't mention me asking. I tried to ask if he was ok, but he kinda blew me off.> Duo said as she sat down.
<You both know I can here what your saying right?> Heero thought to them sarcastically. Both jumped. Elyn winced when he walked off.
"Let's just let Relena handle this,"Duo suggested.
"Yeah," Elyn nodded."Let's just get things started with the project."
"What are they calling it anyway?"
"We're calling it," J called out to everyone. Heero looked in his direction while Relena pushed his arm around her. "Operation Red star."
Sweat drops all around. Duo and the girls snickered. "Interesting,"Wufei said as straight faced as possible.
"What's wrong with it?" the doctors frowned. Duo burst out laughing while Elyn rolled her eyes.
