He sat down and cried, staring out a window, witnessing the beauties of the universe. Alone, scared, and frightened, the little child curled into a ball, trying to make himself oblivious to the people racing by. A man walked up to the boy with a sadden look on his face. The man was a giant compared to some of the other escapees on the ship. He picked up the child and began to rock the child.

"I was once young and frightened to young one," the man said. "Do not be afriad. Where are your parents? I will return their son to them."

The child said nothing but instead sobbed after being asked. The man gave him a disapproving look and rocked the child some more. He carried him to a cafeteria and placed the sorrowful child down in a chair.

"What is the problem," the man asked. "You have a mom and dad right?"

"No," the child weakly stated. "Mommy and Daddy are there," the child answered and pointed out into space.

"Earth," the man said. "My dear God child you cannot live long without a parent."

The man felt sorry for the son. He had no children of his own and he was reaching the age of 40. He was married at one time but his wife died of an epidemic while she was pregnant. So here was an open opportunity to have the son he never had.

"What's your name," the man asked kindly.

"I not know," the child replied.

"Then I will give you one. My name is Vincent Vixel," he said. So your's shall be Kala. How 'bout that Kala Vixel?"

"Me like," Kala said and Vincent laughed.

"I have finally found my son," Vincent said and ordered the two something to eat.
