How about time?

Post by Mellie »

For some reason, I can always get a decent idea, find what I want to happen, but then I get busy. And time runs out to write. Then I go look at my stuff and I can't get past the biggest road block ever. A little three page entry turns to ten before I can get what I want to write, and then the plot is over done. Any suggestions on how to write a lot in short periods of time? Or any tips on how to give yourself writer's block?

i went on this site with info on how to get over a writer's block and some of the tips given were (well a lot of them i made up to follow, but they're quite helpful to me at times):

1. relax
2. set a time when you feel you can write
3. write because you want to not because you have to
4. eat food while you write
5. plan i.e. write a plot
6. use the amount of characters you can handle, don't overdo it by using too many
7. when you think of a plot, make it simple, then develope and maybe when you're used to the plot you can have a few minor ones.
8. make sure you plan the ending, no one likes a crappy cliche one like: but it was all a dream, or ones that sound like it was a cliff hanger cos you couldn't think of anything else to write.

Well anyway those are the rules i try to follow, i hope you find it helpful
