?Oh.? She sulks her head and then suddenly realizes something. ?Where is it??
?What??
?The little black box that Chu chu gave me.?
?You mean this.? Quatre takes a box out of his pocket and gives it to her. She grabs it quickly and turns away. She slowly opens it to see it alright.
?Oh Chu chu.? She starts to cry as she closes the box and falls on her knees.

Switching Sides


A doctor and the dark figure stand behind a glass window looking in at other doctors tryiung to fit Heero with a special collar. Four hold him down as another one tries to put on the collar, but Heero struggles, not letting them have the chance. ?So, how is our new speciment doing??
?Things seem to be behind schedule sir. This one is putting up more of a fight than the others have.?
?I expected this. Isn?t there anything you can do?? he asks rubbung his chin.
?I?m afraid not sir. We can?t do anything right now. But we think that we will be able to control him soon enough.?
?Tell me when you make some progress, but make it soon.? HE exits the room slowly and sees Katsumi briskly walk down the hallway.
?IS everything okay sir?? she says as she salutes him.
?Everything?s fine Katsumi. We?re just going to have to use a lot more mobile suits than I thought we would need to use for the battle. I?m afraid that it might put us at a disadvantage in the future.?
?Sir, I would be glad to fight in the next battle.?
?Thank you for your dedication, but I?m saving you as a trump card.? He puts his hand on her shoulder and gives her a little squeeze.
?I?m honored sir.? She smiles sweetly back at him.
?But we need that boy if we are going to win this.?
?I understand sir. I will make sure everything goes smoothly.?

Reli, Quatre, Duo, Trowa, and Wufei hang around in the lounge area. Wufei and Trowa play a game of chess. whlie Duo works on a piece of machinery, and Quatre sits drinking a cup of tea, as Reli walks around doing a handstand. She falls onto her back, making a loud thump and looks at the ceiling while drawing shapes with her finger. ?I?m bored Quatre,? she complains as she sits herself up, ?Can?t we do something? I?m so bored!?
?Stop complaining woman.? Reli glares at him and sticks out her tongue. ? You wouldn?t know fun if it bit you Wufei.?
?We can?t do anything right now Rele? I mean Reli,? Quatre says correcting himself and fliiping the page in his book.
?Why not??
?Because we just can?t.? Suddenly the door opens and Hilde and Dorothy poke their heads in.
?Where is she??
?I know she?s in here.? They look around quickly and see Reli sitting on the floor.
?Miss Relena!?
?Reli! We?re so glad you?re okay.? As the two excited girls run in, Reli jumps up and runs behind Quatre.
?Quatre, who are they??
?They?re friends.? Sally, Noin, and Milliardo enter next, but stay their distance.
?It?s nice to see everyone again,? Noin says.
?It sure is. IT?s like a big reunion, but it would be better if it was under more pleasant terms,? Duo answers. Milliardo looks past all the boys to Reli and Reli continues to hide behind Quatre.
?Why is she hiding from us?? Milliardo asks himself. Reli whispers something into Quatre?s ear and nods.
?I?m sorry that I didn?t introduce everyone. Reli, this is Sally, Dorothy, Hlide, Noin and Milliardo,? he says as he points to each person.
?Great! Now we have enogh people to have some real fun.? Reli runs over to th edoor and turns on the intercom. ?Howard, how far are we from the nearest colony??
?I would say around 20 minutes. Why??
?I want you to stop there. Some of us are going to stop by and enjoy ourselves.?
?Sure thing.?
?Hear that? Everyone be ready in 20 minutes, or else.? Reli smiles and runs out the door.
?Hey wait a minute come back!? Duo and Quatre run out after her, dropping their stuff and leaving Sally, Noin, Milliardo, Hilde, and Dorothy in confusion.
?Okay, what?s up with Relena you two?? Noin asks Trowa and Wufei as they continue their game.
?It seems that the enemy brainwashed her into thinking she is a little kid named Reli. She doesn?t remember anything from before, so we?re just playing along until we can think of what to do,? Wufei answers as he moves another chess piece.
?So, we have to play along with her for a while?? Dorothy asks.
?Yeah,? Trowa replies moving one of his pieces.

?I don?t know why have I to wear this disguise. I look so silly,? Reli says walking dwon the street, with the others behind her. She wears a brown curly haired wig, with sunglasses and a straw hat.
?We told you already. You can only go out if you wear a disguise.?
?But it makes no sense Quatre.?
?By the way, where are we going?? Hilde asks, hooked on Duo?s arm.
?Where ever I feel like of course.? Reli continues to look around and finds a karaoke place. ?Like here!? She stops and points.
?But Reli, I can?t sing.?
?Don?t worry about it Duo. You?re among friends and we won?t tell anyone else how bad you really are. It will stay among us.? She turns around and heads inside.

?Sir, I?m afraid that the doctors are still having problems,? Katsumi responds over the vid phone.
?He?s too strong for our liking.?
?What should we do then??
?Get ready for battle. We must continue our plans, even without our weapon. Katsumi, I want you to lead the attack from the ship. Get the pilots and the mobile suits ready.?
?Yes sir, but who are we attacking??
?WE?re going to attack NeoPeacemillion of course. Oh yes, and tell the engineers to get the new beam cannon ready too.?
?Right away sir.? She salutes and signs off.

Reli finishes singing ?Dimension of Love? and takes a bow. Everyone looks at the scoreboard to wait the results. Reli smiles and everyone claps as they see her score of a 92.
?I didn?t know you could sing like that Reli,? Hilde comments.
?Well, now you do. Whose next then?? Reli looks around and sees no one answering. SHE looks straight at Milliardo and smiles. ?How about you?? She points at him.
?Me? No thank you. I don?t sing.?
?Please,? she begs giving him puppy dog eyes.
?Yeah, come on Milliardo,? Noin says as she starts to push him off the seat. Suddenly something starts to ring and Quatre takes a phone out of his pocket.
?Hello, Quatre here?Yes?? Oh no! WE?ll be right there.? HE quickly puts it away and gets up.
?WHAt is it Quatre?? Sally asks.
?A huge group of mobile suits are heading toward NeoPeacemillion. WE have to get back there and help them out.? Everyone gets up from their seats and runs out. Reli watches all of htem and quickly grabs her disguise.
?Wait for me!? she screams following them while putting on her disguise.

Reli, Hilde, Dorothy, and Sally all run into the cockpit. ?Where are the others?? Howard asks them impatiently.
?They?re in their suits blasting off,? Dorothy replies.
?Great.? They look on the screen in front of them and see six mobile suits heading out toward the battle.
?Who?s attacking?? Reli asks.
?The KioDawn Alliance is attacking,? Sally said. Reli looks at the battle closer and sees dozens of blue mobile suits attackngi the gundams and Neopeacemillion?s white suits. The blasts from the suits make it look like that space had gained millions of new stars.
?Wait a minute! Those are the suits that I used to pilot. Why are they attacking??
?It?s because they?re the enemy Reli,? Sally answers.

Duo finishes off another suit and goes for another. ?Man, these things won?t stop coming. If we just destroy them, we won?t have to worry about taking so much time to disable each one,? he says slicing a mobile suit.
?WE can?t go around killing peopele Duo. We have to try to preserve the idea of pacifism,? Quatre responds.
?But fighting is against the idea of pacifism anyway. Why should we try to preserve it when we are destroying it?? Wufei asks. He extends his dragon arm, piercing through a suit.

?SIR, we?re about to start getting the beam cannon ready. IS there anything else we should do?? asks a soldier sitting at his counsel.
?No, just get that beam cannon going. WITh just one shot, we?ll be rid of the enemy and will finally be on our way.?
?Sir??
?What is it Katsumi??
?These gundams are giving us a bit of trouble. What should I tell the pilots to do??
?Just hold out a bit more. THE beam cannon is being charged right now.?

The gundams continue their battle, disabling one suit by one. ?There?s a problem.?
?What is it Trowa??
?There is a huge source of energy coming from somewhere, but I can?t figure out where.?
?WE?ll get Howard on it.?

?This battle is taking longer than I thought,? Howard says waiting nervously. Three girls stand behind as Sally takes a seat next to Howard, helping with the battle.
?Howard??
?What is it Quatre??
?Trowa is getting some weird energy source and we want to make sure it isn?t dangerous. Are you getting anything?? Sally types into the computer and gets a reading.
?We got it too Quatre. But we don?t see where it is coming from,? Sally responds.
?Neither do we. That?s the problem.? Reli stares into the screen, past the battle.

In a dark room in another part of space, a giant creature?s eyes start to glow purple.

Back on NeoPeacemillion, the gems on the choker around Reli?s neck start to glow purple. ?Yoshido,? she whispers to herself.
?Did you say something Reli?? Sally asks looking at Reli?s glowing necklace.
?Not yet. Howard, give me the controls.?
?What?? Howard turns around to look at the girl.
?I said give me the controls. I?m taking control of this battle now!?
?You can?t do that Reli,? Sally says.
?Yes I can. Listen, is you want to win this battle, give me complete control. I know what to do. I?m the only one who knows about the enemy.?
?What do you think Howard?? Sally asks.
?I say we listen. She?s our best chance.?
?Alright.? Reli moves between Howard and Sally and puts her hands on the counsel. ?I need someone to zoom in on the area where the energy source is coming from.?
?Yes ma?am.? One of the soldiers zooms in and displays the area on the huge screen.
?Does this ship have any missles??
?Just a couple.?
?Good. Then fire all of them at the spot we just zoomed in on,? she responds.
?Are you sure??
?Positive. Now just do it.?
?Firing missles.? They watch in anticipation as the missles head toward the empty space and blow up. As they continue to watch, something starts to appear. After a few more seconds, a giant white space fortress appears.
?Wow! That?s huge!? Duo says over the speaker.
?That?s Yoshido, one of the most powerful space fortress? ever created. It has the power to destroy a colony.? She continues to look and sees something coming out of the ship. ?It can?t be. They?re about to fire the beam cannon!?
?What!?? They all shout.
?We need to destroy it now. Tell me, which of the gundams is the closest??
?That would be gundam 03.?
?Alright, set up a line with him.?
?Yes ma?am.?
?Trowa, can you here me??
?Who is this??
?IT?s me, Reli. I need you to do something very important.?
?What is it??
?I need you to go to the ship that just appeared. I don?t want you to use any more ammo because you?re going to need it to destroy the cannon.?

?But who?s going to protect him from getting blasted?? Howard asks.
?Get me the group closest to Trowa quick.?

?Just listen,? Howard says. The squad follows the orders and goes toward Trowa. On the way to Yoshido, the suits cover him, taking care of any mobile suits getting in the way.

?You almost there Trowa??
?Yeah, but how do I destroy the cannon??
?You need to find the control panel. It?s a box where the cannon and ship meet.?
?I don?t see anything resembling a box. What should I do know?? Trowa asks flying around the cannon.

?Don?t you remember anything special about it Reli?? Sally asks.
?The cannon is going to fire soon Reli,? Howard comments.
?I can?t remember. Why does this have to happen now?? Reli slams her fists and closes her eyes in concentration.
Flashback
Reli sneaks around the halls, looking for someone to play with when she sees three men carrying a box with a black bear on it. ?We need to install this as soon as possible.?

?That?s it. Trowa, you still there??

?Yeah. Did you remember anything? It?s about to go off.?
?Look for a black bear and fire on it. That?s the box.? Trowa circles the cannon once more and finds it.
?Alright.? HE starts to fire on the spot and 3 other suits help him out. 4 others continue to fight the enemy suits as they try to stop the gundam and the 3 others suits. The box soon short circuits and quickly explodes. The others quickly fly away in order to get away from the blast.

?Sir, one of the gundams has destroyed the control box. WE can?t control the beam cannon.?
?IF we don?t do something, the ship is going to explode with the cannon.?
?Tell the engineers to shut it down now!? The man commands furiously.
?But sir, shutting it down could cause serious damage.?
?Don?t question my orders,? he slams his fist on the chair.
?Yes sir.?
?Sir, what?s happening?? Katsumi asks over the vid phone.
?Get all of the mobile suits out of there. We?re ending this battle.?
?But why sir??
?DO you dare question me too?!?
?NO sir. I?ll do what you say.?

Slowly, each enemy mobile suit turns around and flies toward Yoshido. ?Well it looks like we won this battle,? Duo says inexcitement.
?Yeah, but how many more will there be? WE still don?t know much about the enemy.?
?Wufei?s right, but what I want to know is what?s up with Miss Relena.?
?That?s right. If it wasn?t for her, we might all be dead.? All of a sudden, a huge flash of light appears, blinding everybody. When it disappears, Yoshido can?t be seen.

?It disappeared.?
?Well, at least we have an idea what we are up against.? Reli tunrs around and starts toward the door. ?Reli, where are you going?? Hilde asks.
?I?m just going for a walk.? She walks out and once out of sight, she leans against the wall and sits on the ground. ?Why would he do that? Why?? Reli says holding her head in her hands. ?Please forgive me.?

?What are the damages Williams??
?We used up most of our energy packs getting away and from charging the cannon. Shutting down the cannon did cause more damage. It will take about two weeks before we can fully repair the cannon and there are many minor damages around the ship.?
?I guess that isn?t too bad. But how did they know where the control box was?? He asks tapping his chair arm.
?IT must have been the girl sir. She still had the device implanted in her.?
?Myabe it was a bad idea for me to let her go so easily. There must be someway to destroy it.?
?There is a device that we implanted that could destroy it. It?s a special type of virus. The problem is that it could harm the wearer.?
?Do it anyways. I want it destroyed as soon as possible. She can?t interfere with our project anymore.?


Relena is accompanied by Noin and Milliardo to a conference where she pretends to be Vice Foreign Minister Dorlain, while the others decide on what their next step will be and if they will tell Relena who she really is. Next time on Gundam Wing: Crisis, Playing Roles.
