what is a beta reader? i am new and stupid pleas help me.

i think its someone that reads someone else's fanfic etc, and gives them advise on how to make it better, probably like a proofreader, i think.

so anyway that's my definition if you want a more precise one maybe you should ask someone that is one, i guess.

A beta is someone who offers constructive critisim to a fic. Let's say you write a fic, and you really hate it and need help on aspects. Your beta reader can help. Just tell them what you're having problems with, and they'll help. They're, like, really nice people who love everyone!
Well....I hope that sums it up. Tornin was on par with that answer!

Look and see who needs a beta, and tell 'em you would like to do it. (They're posted all over this forum....They usually say 'I need a beta'....or something along those lines! ^_^) I am in search for many a beta reader, so if you feel like reading Of/Gates, and helping w/ chapter 6, I'd love your help!
