Lemon Issues

It *is* a tough call to make. Although, honestly, it's stupid that you have to be bothered with it. I know very clearly when I'm entering a lemon fic, and I'm a very unobservant person. Parents should not be lecturing you, but their child. However, it might be necessary, because apparently people are just *that* stupid.

Ok, if you look at my profile, you can blatantly see that im a "minor", and yes i do read lemons *the ones that actually have a plot and purpose*. I joined a few months ago so i dont know the details of the "incident", but here's my opinion, as a person who this will very much affect:
As many have stated, the fics are clearly labelled. I know what i am reading. Also as many have said, other even younger than me WILL find a way around passwords *i live in a school of nerds, i should know of their computer genius*. I didnt lie about my age but others most inevitably will. A whole new forum would put a lot of work on you, rose, when authors are already covering their rears and yours by putting ratings on their fics. Making things "members only" discourages readers, I know it did for me for a while before i decided to join.
In the end it's a hard decision, and i support whatever you decide to do, but i have to say that things are fine the way that they are, its what makes me a big fan.
Good luck whatever you do, but just remember your fans who are minors who have the maturity to "handle" it.
Tons of love

We aren't laughing at you, we are laughing near you.

Are you a mexican or a mexican't?

Darling, nothing is certain until you're dead, and even then I'm sure that God negotiates.

I'm old. It's what I do. SO! That being said, my favorite people in the world over at the site where I download all the modifications for this forum have created the ability to password-protect topics and forums. I'm particularly interested in password-protecting topics because I believe it would allow the posters of NC-17 material to put a password on their fic posts, thus making it a bit more difficult for people to "accidentally" "stumble across" adult material on this site.
I'm taking opinions before I make my decision...

Shhh, ixnay on the incientay
Have you had your recommended daily allowance of ravishing?
I believe in love stories but despise romances.
I want to write fics that slap all the standard fanfiction conventions around the face with
a wet fish and call them Betsy ~ me to Wicked.
Cupid's arrow is really a nuclear warhead...it leaves total devastion in it wake.

Actually... no. You don't really 'deserve' to know. It was a situation between Rose and a former member that really doesn't need to be dredged up again. It's in the past, and we'd really like to keep it there.
All that members really need to keep in mind is that the forums have rules, and the moderators here would appreciate it if everyone could adhere to them. Which fortunately, most do. There's a lot less stress and bother for our webmistress that way.
Cheers,
Mel
