Other winced from the loud noise.
There were surprised looks on a few people.
And the soldiers ran toward the scream.
They halted at the door, realizing where the scream came from.
One of them, a female, went inside.
She found her friend sitting on a bench, staring at nothing.
?Sally??
Sally turned her gaze towards her friend.
?What?s the matter??
Sally turned her gaze to the scale.
?I. Gained. Weight.?
Her friend understood.
?It couldn?t be THAT bad.?
Sally tensed.
She glared at her friend.
?It is THAT bad.?
Now her friend opened her arms and Sally went into them, tears running down her eyes.

?What?s the deal??
Another soldier walked inside, her frown apparent on her face.
?Sally gained SIGNIFICANT weight.?
The other soldier froze, her frown disappearing.
?Damn.?
?May I make a suggestion??
The three women turned to find the newcomer smile at them serenely.
?Why don?t Sally get dressed up and appease the people outside that nothing is wrong. Particularly her husband.?
The newcomer?s smile CHANGED.

This brought the three women in action.

Sally scowled back.

The man crossed his arms.

Knowing it was useless for him to back out when it pertains to her, Sally supplied a half-truth.
?I?m thinking of dieting for a while.?
Her husband frowned.
?Why??
Sally fidgeted.
Wufei sighed.
?You gained weight, didn?t you??
Sally froze.
Wufei also froze.
He was in DANGER.
Sally SMILED.
