Blissful Ignorance

"Whoa, Stella!" Duo ran after everyone as they sprinted to the hangar. "Heero, what the hell are you doing, man? Sorry, ladies," he apologized to Mariemaia and Relena for his language.

"I'm helping with strategy from the hangar. Where's a damned headset connected to the Gundam suits?" Heero demanded.

"I can form strategies on my own," Gallian said, his monotonous expression never changing. "I don't need help."

"You're getting it."

"This is...interesting," Alex murmured.

"Maxwell, this battle is not for your commentary," Dagger scolded from the base. "Mr. Galfis did not give you authorization to speak."

"Ma'am, the new Gundam is Epyon 2. The pilot is Milliardo Peacecraft's son."

Dagger's brows raised. "Really?"

"The other Gundam pilots are approaching."

"I see. In that case, I'll send out Tohai's fleet."

Rosaan tensed from behind her.

"What now?" Relena asked; as soon as the Gundams were deployed, alarms began to go off at the Preventer Base.

"The number of mobile dolls have increased drastically," Heero informed her. "01, have your team move out. 03 and 04, guard the edges of the unit."

Maeko and Porthole moved to comply.

"Careful!" Trowa called to Gallian from Heero's side. "That red, enemy Gundam's coming right at you."

Scarlet Gundam, completely customized to perfectly fit Rosaan's, moved swiftly through the other Gundams and mobile dolls. "Gallian Kenn," she said.

Relena gasped, hearing the voice. "Rosaan?"

"Rosaan," Gallian countered, as the girl lifted her Gundam arms for a punch. He caught them at the wrists. "Don't struggle or I'll have to hurt you."

"Then hurt me!" she shouted.

Gallian paused, then opened a comm link that completely connected Sage Gundam's and Scarlet Gundam's systems. "What?" he asked, baffled.

"Hurt me again," she repeated. "Like you did in Dublin - go ahead."

"Rosaan--"

"Gallian, look out!" Naora called from a right angle. She shot the mobile doll advancing at him. Gallian didn't so much as flinch.

"I had a duty you said you understood eight months ago."

"I did understand. And now I understand we're enemies," Rosaan assured him.

"Why?"

"I have my duty, too, Derekai." Her eyes narrowed in anger. "I wear your dead mother's ring in my honor for them, not for you."

"Rosaan!" he screamed before she flew away.

Heero's chest tightened. There was the final lock to the boy's heart -- the key thrown away.

Rosaan looked back briefly.

Naora and Maeko shot down more suits. Ivan shot at Rosaan.

"Rosaan!" Gallian yelled. He squeezed his eyes shut. "Rosaan! I love you!"

Heero's eyes widened.

Rosaan froze, and Ivan's missile hit the back of her Gundam. She moaned in pain, and Scarlet Gundam was immobile in space.

"No, dammit!" Gallian rushed past the others as the last mobile doll was destroyed. "Rosaan!" He flipped down the visor of his helmet, and lunged out of Sage Gundam, going to his ex-fiance's Gundam's hatch. He hacked into the open code and the door hovered down. Looking inside, he found the unconscious girl's body, a little bloody but overall fine. Dipping his head in, his took her out. "Tow this Gundam back to base," he said to Reku, and went back to his own suit.

The Gundam pilots flew back to the Preventer Base.

Relena's hand came down on Heero's and squeezed it hard.

Heero breathed, relieved at the show of emotion from Gallian.

"Shit!" Dagger cursed, as Alex reentered the base. "They've captured Tohai."

"Maybe Rosaan wanted to be captured," Alex suggested with a smirk. "Anything's better than you bastards."

" then why don't you go back too you little bastard, your the one that let your mother get away." Dagger yelled as he turned and left.

" Because I want to be stronger, and to do that I have to kill my brother of course, we have a sibling rivalry that will end with his death."

" you're sick."

" I know, I want to destroy him so I can have my parents all to myself. I'm leaving though so fend for your self and try not to get killed."

" Um, this probably isn't what I should be saying but do you want me to fix the gundam she was riding in." Reku asked.

" Get permission from her and Gallian first."

" that's a big no from him. Well I'm gonna go into the music room." He walks away waving.

" Music room?"

" Quatre's hidden room, with a piano."

" She is so stupid, some one's gonna kill her sooner or later. I would never kill my brother, I'm going home to my family." Alex with a sad smile on his face. " I don't want to be on the bad side. No one wants to be on the receving end of a Gundam's attack."

this is going so fast, well here's mine:

The lighting was dim, with only a very bright light in the corner sitting on a table right infront of the traitor girl to blind her vision and make her vulnerable. One of the oldest tricks in the book of Interrogation.

"I will say it again-Chloe-why are you here?"

The girl was silent once more.

Lady Une a tall woman that could choose to imposing at any time, was edging closer and closer into the brink of anger.

"FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY! ANSWER MY QUESTIONS! or I will be forced to hurt you." she seethed.

"Like I've already said, you can hurt me, you can kill me, but you won't get anywhere."

"And niether will you if you continue this way.

With that Lady Une brightened the lights and walked to the com link to contact the Gundam Pilots. The tied up Chloe blinked several times, attempting to keep her eyes open. Failing she kept them shut.

He sat in the room facing the piano he long brown hair touching the floor behind him, he didn't know he had somebody watching him either. He was thinking about todays events. So to get rid of them he put his hands on the keys and started.

He stopped he felt as though he was being watched. But continued on.

Then as an alert blared he got up and walked out of the room. The young girl who was watching him walked away as well with her arm still bandaged.

" Oh my god, Alex it's you....

Chibi Reli's will be short too cause she has to finish packing.

Maeko leans against a nearby wall and plops her face into her hands. "I didn't know he could sing or play like that. And that song, it sounded so... am I doing the right thing? It seems like...why do things have to be so complicated?" she asks, rubbing her head in frustration.

"Dammit. Now that boy got away as well. Our pilots just seem to be dropping like flies," Dagger says, pacing her room and biting her thumb.

"Dagger, I heard the news," Gelfis announces as he comes in.

"I'm sorry sir. I should have watched him better," she answers, bowing to him.

"Don't worry about it too much. I have a few more tricks up my sleeve."

"Yeah, it's me bro. It's been a long time," young Alex looking at his brother as the others minus Maeko watch. Reku looks over to his parents and sees them both smiling.

"Dad? Mom? Is it..."

"It's really him Reku," Hilde says, looking as if she would burst into tears again.

"So no hug or anything for your little brother?" Alex says smiling and approaching his brother.

"Why did you do it though Alex?" he asks, taking a step away.

"I did it because..."

Chibi Reli is outta here yo!

" I woke up in a room. I didn't know what was going on. The last thing I remember was setting up a party for your birthday. Then Gelfis, he came in and talked to me."

" But you shot at me, I didn't do anything to you and you shot me." Reku said stepping farther away from his brother.

" I'm sorry I did but I was being controlled. I didn't know who you were , I Didn't know who mom was either, but I let her go." Alex said walking closer.

" Stay away, from me right now I need to think." Reku turned and ran out.

" Man what a crybaby, how'd he ever become a gundam pilot." Gallian said as everybody gave him a nasty look. " Nevermind I said, that."

" you were just crying over that woman of yours." Ivan said trying to keep a serious face.

" Alex go find him." Duo said with a serious look on his face. " He's not mad trust me, there are just a lot of things on his mind right now."

" So what is your grand plan Gelfis, as you can see our pilots just keep disappearing." Dagger said as they walked to his room.

As he walked outside, he found his brother looking into the sky.

"Reku I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do it. I just couldn't control myself." the green eyed, brown haired boy said as he sat down next to his brother.

" Alex, let's go home."

" What?"

" We need all the gundams we can get, so let's go get your Shadow Gundam." Reku said as he finally gave his brother a hug.

" You're back to normal, yeah let's go get it. Hey did you know we're gonna have a little sister." Alex said as they walked back in. " So which girl do you like?"

" none of your business Race you to the hanger bay.....

ahhhh how sweet.

Sally hummed to herself and she drew more blood from this girl they called Rosaan. She had yet to awaken, but the doctor was positive that she would, hence her cheerfulness. Her injuries weren't severe, but her emotional stress...she couldn't be sure how far that extended.

She felt eyes on her and turned. "Gallian," she greeted the man in the doorway. "I'm glad you're here. Your friend will be just fine."

Gallian's eyes shifted to the woman lying asleep in the sick bay bed. "Hn." He moved to sit in the chair beside the bed.

Sally watched knowingly, and her grin widened. "I'll go run some tests on this blood," she said and slipped out of the room.

Gallian stared at Rosaan's raven-dark hair and closed lids, underneath which he knew was a luring amber. He set a hand on hers then drew back at the feeling of something cold. Looking down to investigate, he heard a sharp intake of breath, but didn't realize it was his gasp.

A ring of garnet set in gold.

Rosaan stirred, and slowly, her eyes opened and the amber appeared. "Derekai," she murmured. She winced as she tried to sit up. Gallian put more pillow behind her back.

"Derekai," she said again. "Derekai--" she paused instantly. "Or are you just Gallian Kenn?"

Gallian's eyes locked with hers. "You decide."

Rosaan's eyes welled up and shone in the fluorescent lighting. Not knowing what else to do, she leaned over and cried into his chest.

Off-guard, Gallian went stiff. But very slowly, his arms came around her. Then he whispered:

"I see your grief, Rosaan."

Recognizing the tone, she jumped through hiccups. "I'm so sorry," she muttered softly.

"But..." Gallian gently disentangled himself from her. "I can never be happy with you again." Standing, he gave her one look and left the room. Walking right by Relena Peacecraft.

"Derekai..." Rosaan murmured. And burst into tears.

Porthole was passing the base's overlook of outer space, and saw Gallian leaning on the rail by the huge window.

"Gallian?" he called. "Are you okay?"

The two boys entered the house, they hadn't been in for so long now. Everything was still where they left it. No one had been in her to clean since they left.

" you go get the Shadow ready, I've got stuff to get out of my room."

" Alright."

When was the last time he had a change of clothes? Not since he was in the sick bay for a few days. As he walked into his room, he wondered why he was fighting. Almost everything he wanted he had back. His mom, brother and dad.

" Hey big brother, I'm ready to go. But first I have something to give you." Alex said as he handed him a small box.

" what is it?"

" Your birthday present, it's just something from all of us."

" It's a locket, what do I look like a girl?"

" Just open it. There's a picture of all of us." He walked out and back to the hanger bay. "And yeah you look like a girl... sometimes."

"Oh well." And Reku started packing a bag with things they would need for the battles ahead. And he too walked toward the hanger bay.

Milliardo had called everyone into the meeting room, but there were still missing people. Gallian, Maeko, Alex, Reku and Sally. " Alright, What are we planning on doing? Tell me you at least have a plan."

" Yeah, we storm the place and get the bad guy." Porthole said sounding like he didn't really know.

" Well anyone else with suggestions." Milliardo said not too hopefully.

" I have one."

Everyone stared at the new voice.

" The Resource satellite was full of mobile dolls I think we can use them as a disraction and it'll give the older pilots a chance to get in the battle again." Ivan said.

" One minor problem, The mobile dolls need to be reprogramed and the only one who probably knows how to do it still isn't here." His father said.

" Doesn't anyone else know how." Wufei said. "It's been so long I forgot how."

" Hey everyone, we're back." Alex said as they walked into the meeting room.

" Problem solved, they both know how to reprogram mobile dolls" Duo as he ushered the boys in. " And I don't need a mobile doll. I have a gundam too."

" Alright, then assemble a team, your going to get the suits.......

"Hello Sensei," Maeko says as Charles' face pops up on the vidphone.

"Maeko, it's so great to see you. Your grandparents told me they got in touch with you. How are you?"

"I'm doing fine. When is the service?" she asks, trying to keep the tears back.

"We actually plan on having it tomorrow. The colony has announced rain for the rest of the week and we would like to have the ceremony outside. You probably already know that Master has given you his name and dojo?" he says.

"Hmm. I guessed that much."

"There was always something special about you Maeko and the Master knew it. We'll have the ceremony tomorrow at tea hour."

"Master's favorite time of the day," she says, smiling at the thought of tea with her Master.

"I hope to see you here."

"Nothing could stop me. Bye Sensei."

"Maeko, great you're here," Quatre says as Maeko enters the room full of people.

"Why?"

"We're going out soon to start an attack against the enemy," Naora states becoming quite excited. THey all look at Maeko, waiting for a response as she lowers her head.

"I'm sorry, but I can't."

"Why not?" Porthole asks, getting quite annoyed.

"Master's ceremony has been moved to tomorrow and I'd rather die then miss it."
