Well...Now we know what happens with TERRIBLE procrastination! You get two postings in a row. Last week's and this weeks. Eat 'em up.

Chapter 537: "Final Sentience"

So...Kags and Fluff...Walking...walking...minding thier own business...(well, not really.) when all the sudden Fluff announces he smells Rin. And full youkai Scruff-and says he's gonna fly. Kags leaps to grab his boa and flys with him-worried about what'd happen if Inuyasha killed Rin.

Meantime-Rin faces off with Scruff...She's confused-and runs when he charges. But-she stops as she forgot M-man was behind her-and well now she's stuck. Till Scruff growls at her not to move-and tries to slash at M-man instead of her. (How thoughtful...) M-man laughs claiming he was surprised Inu still had any heart left-and promptly invades him posess him.

Sooo-Now that Scruffy is posessed Rin turns to see Fluffy just before Naraku's meaty insides begin to suck her into them. Before Fluff can get to her the possessed hanyou steps into his way. Sesshi and Kags realize he's been taken over-and Sessh claims he'll take them both down. Scruff pulls out the Meidouzangetsu ha and uses it-against Kagsey's wishes...

Meanwhile outside Narki, the kids are admonishing one another for trying to follow the others into Naraku. (Though Jaken is no kid, he acts like one...>>) Anyway, as they near the Narki-Gumo-Tama they're greeted by the Meidouzangetsu ha as it forms a vortexy hole in Narki's side. They zoom in as thier chance to get in on the action.

At the center of that vortex Inuyasha stands and Sessh wonders if he missed on purpose...Then figures that the Tetsusaiga is maintaining his last scrap of sanity....Until-ladeeda--Narki stabs him through with a meaty tenticle and takes the fang blade away.

The blade is dropped and Inuyasha is swallowed into Narki much like Rin was. Fluffy yells at Kags to grab the Tetsusaiga-They're going in.

SOooo.....Yeah...Don't have to wait for next weeks-It's already here! Just-ah-see the very next post...^^;;

This one however-is a VERY nice short one...and I don't have to laugh my ass off because Rin brought him back to his senses...because-she didn't!

Chapter 538: "Kagome's Blood Scent"

Back to Kags and Sessh again....This time digging through a fleshy wall. Fluffy can smell Scruffy and M-man near-and Kags spits out that she knows he can defeat M-man without harming Scruff. She goes on to explain that if he fights Inu-that's what Narki will want for darkening the tama more. It appears Sessh is not listening as he realizes he's gotten through the wall....And-is immediately attacked by an M-man possessed full youkai hanyou!

Fluff orders Kags to stay behind while he leaps out and punches the bejesus out of Scruffy.

Battle frames ensue.

Fluff thinks his hits are better cuz he's full youkai, then remembers what Kags said about Narki and the shikon no tama and claims he'll finish this in one blow. Scruff catches Tenseiga in his hands and M-man scoffs at Sessh for using a blade that only heals on a live body...and then tries to make Inu break it...Which results in the brothers smashing into the far flesh wall.

Kags thinks she has to get near the hanyou so Tetsusaiga can bring him back a bit. She slips-Sessh looks up realizing this and calls her an idiot. Loudly. She uses Tetsusaiga-stabbing the rusty, dull thing into the flesh and asks it to hold her up. She looks down and yells for Inu to wait..she's coming for him.

Scruff rolls his eyes up to her-as M-man laughs claiming she's too late, he's already invaded every corner of the hanyou's mind. Kagsey screams at him not to give in....And the hanyou smells....blood....His miko's blood...He thought she was gone, dead, killed by him-and remencises about that...but...The green miko gets thrown off of her perch by Narki's body-and Falls...AGAIN...x.x

Fluff is all like "Tch...w/e..." But Scruff relizes-she is still alive...And shoves Fluff off to bound after her and save her!

NOW you have to wait till next week again...hopefully I'll keep on schedule and get it out on time...But-Next time-Inuyasha takes his heart back! Yeeeaaayyy...Hopefully Sessh will beat the living shit outta M-man finally too-and then they can all kick Narki's ass and END this once and for ALL.

Weee! An anticlimatic ending for M-man!

Chapter 539: "Capture"

Scruff bounds for the falling green miko-remembering his swear to protect her with his life. Fluff half follows wondering if he broke free of M-man's control on his own.

Kags wakes up (who the fuck passes out while they fall though? ) and realizes her hanyou saved her...He claims he heard her voice. (like so many times before) Kags asks where Tetsusaiga is-he says he doesn't know...and Sessh scoffs at M-man for losing control of the hanyou.

They realize that when M-man tries to leave Scruff his next possesion target will be Kags. And thier right. Fluff yells at M-man to let her go-and Scruff tries to bound away to keep him from her. M-man claims that he's too late-and that if Fluff wants to get rid of him-he'll have to tear the miko and hanyou apart.

But the hanyou being away from his little miko starts to drop back under M-man's control-till he spots the gleam of the Tetsusaiga. Bounding down and grabbing it it transforms into dragon scaled Tetsusaiga. M-man is pulled from Kags and is drawn toward the hanyou-but he's also being forced from the hanyou's body at the same time. Fluff scoffs again-and readies himself for the strike as Inuyasha realizes that his yoketsu* has trapped M-man from moving anywhere.

Sessh takes this moment to run M-man through with the Tenseiga in one blow-thus obliterating him...And even though it was Sessh who killed him-M-man's last words are "Impossible-how could I lose to a mere hanyou?" Go figger....x.x

Up with the green miko-something rushes through her-and as Inuyasha looks up at her, worried and saying her name-she realizes she's free of the seal...and feels lighter...

AND that ends that. FINALLY! Our little green miko is FREE. She can use her *FULL* potential and we can see what kind of damage she can really do! At long fucking last! Anyway-we shall see what she does at full power next time!

*Yoketsu are the swirls of youki that surround a youkai's power.

And now that she's free and clear....

Chapter 540: "Reborn Light"

As M-man fades-Kags gets her power back-and the innards of Narki begin to quake. They ultimately knock the green miko from her perch and our not completely brainless full youkai scruffy is to the rescue! (again) Catching her-her returned powers instantly bring hanyou scruff back to the open...And the pair comment on that.

As Narki'd insides continue to shake, Kags tries to thank Fluffy for killing M-man, but Fluffy has already run off....And he makes a wonderful oscar worthy deduction! Kagome's power can clear Naraku's jaki!! Give him a cookie everybody.

Just on the inside of Narki-the kids notice that something is happening.They wonder if Naraku knows thier there. Some part of him does-apparently-because his tenticles come out of no where and seperate Shippou and Jaken from Kohaku and Aun.

Back on the farm, Scruff and Kags decide to go after the tama again.

Speaking of which-We come to Naraku...sitting in the center of this mass of flesh-which is all attached to him...with a barrier around him and the tama floating in front of him. He notices that the point of pure light has returned from Kags getting her powers back...And in the fucked up way that Narki works-decides to use this against the inu-gumi.

He shoots random streams of light out-and tells Kags and Scruff that he's going to use the light to have Miroku's Kazanna swallow him up.

We find the houshi...Who is lying there wondering what the fuck to do now...He debates with himself over using the kazanna to deal non-substantial damage to Naraku-then figures thats a stupid idea...Till he sees Narki's "fake light." He figures Kags has her power back-and where ever the tama is-Naraku's heart is and he can end this!

But-as the last page and Naraku tell us and the pair...There's no garuantee that the light the hooch sees-leads to him or the tama...He also tells Kags that her light will kill her friends.

And thus ends this weeks montage....Wee, wasn't that exhilratingly fun?! Seriously though...I just can't make myself excited/worried about the Houshi...I really want them to (In the words of Monty Python) GET ON WITH IT. But-till next week-I'm faithfully yours...~LGM

I gotta say, I share your feelings of not getting overly excited or w/e. I just don't know what to think. On one hand, I'm glad that this is finally showing a semblance of nearing an ending, but its been so long, that the antisipation as all but worn off. Its rather sad. I'm interested to see whats gonna happen next, and how things will finally pan out, but its been way too long comming.

Lets face it, Takahashi beat this series until it's now nearly lifeless. The only thing she can do for it now is to finish it with some sembalence of dignity, if that's even possible at this point.

Maybe its just me being blase, but meh.

Till next time, keep up the good work LGM, regardless of how the series is degrading, you still manage to keep the updates amusing.

MEW....I apologize! For anyone who has been following this regularly-I'm sorry. I just have not had the pateince to do the summeries for the past few weeks...Real life and has been getting in the way. Evil road blocks. But-I made a promise-so without any more delay here they are:

Chapter 541: "Trap of Light"

Newly freed and on thier own, the two seek a way to break through Naraku and face the debate of looking for the houshi or defeating Naraku.

They're informed that the monk is on his own and most likely going to make a stupid choice and fall into the light's trap, destroying himself for nothing.

Trade off to Miroku-who is indeed still wandering Naraku's innards alone and debating using the light and trying to defeat Naraku. Who-is snug nude in some encasing egging these idiots on.

Cut to Sango who is wandering aimlessly and is worried about the houshi opening his kazanna for the final time. She thinks that if the monk dies, then she would as well. (Aww...how sickenly romantic of you Mrs. Jim.) Then-Whoa...She sees the same type of light Mr. Jim saw-and thinks No Naraku No Kazanna No dead Houshi. She pops in and sees an illusion of Narki. Of course, she takes it for the real thing and tries to pop it off with the Hiraikotsu-but before she can throw-RIN slides from Narki's chest, stopping her.

Narki admonishes her-that her kindness in not killing Rin will unavoidably-kill the monk.

Meanwhile-said monk also finds his Naraku illusion-and gets ready to pull the kazzana out...

In another place-not to far away-Scruff and Kags race off in search of the Monk to stop him-and Kags comments that they're getting further from the real tama...

Back with Sango (damn lotta scene changes) Byakuya watches the conversation from the side-and comments that Rin is real...but Narki isn't. And Sango-taken in by the lie of Narki being there...decides-she'll risk Rin for her monk's life...

So-Yeah...There's that chapter. I've a lot more to go-so I'll withold comments till I have them all.

Chapter 542: "Swallowed Light"

Scruff and Kags run towards the houshi...who is just about to pull the kazanna open-Kags yells at him to stop, but he doesn't hear her. He still thinks that he can destroy Naraku and the tama even if the kazzana splits. Kags yells again, he still doesn't hear. Inuyasha attempts a Kongousouha...the houshi doesn't even see it-and the illusion of Narki doesn't even budge. Wondering about this-the two figure out-"Hey-hello, Monk can't see us! haha...we knew that..."

Now-Miroku goes to try to open the kazzanna, apologizing to Sango in his mind....BUT-Inuyasha jumps in and grabs the monk's hand-making sure he can't open it anyway. He tries to fight it, but the hanyou slams him down while Kags loops the beads around his hand. The illusion taunts the monk, and he claims he'll take him down now. Scruff screams for him to get ahold of himself and Kags shoots an arrow to dispell the illusion. But it doesn't budge.

Kags-suprised at this-is told by it that it won't vanish till the houshi and taijiya are both dead...And now Kags starts to worry again.

Meantime, our ever vigilent amber hero walks along with Aaun by his side-and spots the light from the illusion Sango sees...He rushes to see. He exclaims at her-and sees Rin, while she makes a final desicion to run Hiraokotsu through all three to save the monk...( Loser ) Kohaku realizes that Sango is going to take Rin out too, and yells at her to stop. Byakuya comes down and tells him its useless. She can't hear, or see him. Her heart is weak-and entirely set on saving the houshi's life.

In another place...Kagome realizes that the shikon no tama is repelling her purification...and getting black again. Figuring this isn't good-she searches the body for the tama...and sees it-and Naraku. She takes her bow and arrow and aims...

Chapter 543: "An Arrow Vanished"

We're back with Amber and Coral. Sango lets lose her Hirakotsu - and Kohaku tries telling her to stop again.

And Naraku's all happy.

And Kagome fires her arrow at the same time.

And Inuyasha wonders if his miko has lost her marbles-shooting at apparently nothing...till her arrow disappears...Just like it did with Hitomiko*. And just like with Hitomiko, her arrow reaches Naraku-and rips through his arm...Back with Kohaku, Rin and Sango...Byakuya suddenly loses his arm too...and the illusion fades-and the Hiraikotsu misses-leaving Rin to drop like a hot potato. Kohaku bursts out with Aaun yelling her name and goes to save her.

After Kohaku announces that Rin is safe...Byakuya asks wasn't she aiming for Rin too...as well as the illusion? And now Sango knows that she'd been fooled into a trap...The hiraikotsu bounces back-past Sango who just sits there-and right for Byakuya-who just barely dodges.

Then you see that it was Fluffy who threw it back...Byakuya snarks that he threw it at the wrong person-and flies the coop...figuring that Naraku's main body got ripped-leaving Sango to admit that she had been ready to kill Rin-and he could rip her apart for it if he saw fit...but to wait. Wait till after Naraku is dead.

Back with the dog-he refuses the monk's request to be left behind-claiming he didn't trust that he'd not be able to see past the illusions. The monk exclaims he doesn't know when the kazzanna will split-and is quickly shut up by both Scruff and Kags and the assertion that everyone will come out alive.

Chapter 544: "Core"

Faced off-more light breaks. Sesshi notices the direction and the smell has altered-and rushes off. Sango and Kohaku follow on his heals. Sango's one thought is the monk.

Speaking of which: The trio with the monk-finally comes upon the real Naraku in his barrier egg thing...and the first thing Kags notices is light in the tama again.

Inuyasha tells his miko to hit Narki with another arrow-and drags out...Sesshi's Medouzangetsu ha. He tries to use it-but Narki shifts his body-makes him and the other two fall-and thus cause the hanyou to miss his intended target.

Missed target lands the big ball of black hell right near Shippou!-(do not ask how it got near the kitsune...) As it scares Ship-dip right onto his duff-Byakuya shows up and pulls a hilt from behind his back-with no blade. It makes Shippou wonder...Suddenly the Medou is gone-and the hilt Byakuya holds has a black blade...

Byaku realizes the Dip is there and the Dip yells asking what he did. Byaku says he took the Meidouzangetsu ha's power on Naraku's order...And Ship flips out about it. But after explaining that-and then mentioning as an aside that it can only be used once and he has no idea what Naraku wants it for-he vanishes and the Dip gets disgruntled that he isn't being used as bait.

Back with the crew-Kags tries to shoot Naraku-and he shoots shouki bombs at them...this shouki seems to be different though...this shouki will Kill you!!...(Like the shouki before wouldn't? >.> Oookayy...)

Sessh and the other group rush toward the new light-and Rin wakes up-realizing Kohaku is there-and Sessh. The shouki explosion reaches them then-and Sango claps her mask over Rin's face at the risk of her own lungs. She apologizes to her-and then rushes off ahead...And Sessh seems mildy amused by this...

Heero: mmhmhmhmhmhmmmaahahahahahAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!! .....One more to go...
